-Crisp, clear LCD display-Responsive touchscreen-Simple turn by turn directions with spoken street names-Site visitors updates have saved me a number of times from getting late to function-Directions are straight forwards with minimal sidetracking-Big abundance of points of interests (even some regional street stands)-Level of customization (changing the car or truck icon, diverse voice options, simulation mode, and so on.)-Quite accurate arrival instances -The charger has to be plugged in to acquire targeted traffic updates, which can be annoying. I've had this unit for a tiny over a year now, and I have by no means gotten lost however. I arrive when Garmin says I will arrive. She routes me around site visitors nicely and saves me from my boss yelling at me for becoming late. I've also located a lot more nearby areas to dine at and to be entertained than I knew even existed in my area.

Website traffic in SF area appears to work largely Their is no such point as a 265WT... What a 藙WT" is is a 265W with a particular cable that has the FM receiver for targeted traffic...There is no sign of traffic capability unless the unique vehicle charging cable is in use.Garmin has completed the planet's worst communication on this. Feel you can even get the cable for your 265W if you want.Unit has problems with audio sometimes, either sounds like donald duck, silence, or on begin says "incompatible audio device" then silence. Updated audio from web site, still issues. had it for a couple weeks... haven't produced up my mind on no matter whether to keep it.

Simple to use, clear maps, and uncomplicated to comprehend voices. Fantastic value for the cost. Want it had connector to hook to the console not just the 1 for the windshield.

Excellent device if you get lost or travel frequently. Really effectively received as a birthday gift. The cost of this model compared to the subsequent reduced 1 is a bit steep. The principal noticeable difference is the spoken street names that the lesser model does not do. Most complaints about this item are truly complaints about GPS systems in general and ought to be study as such.

Great Screen and the visitors updates are pretty fantastic. Bluetooth works nicely with cell telephone also. Ad's are not that annoying at all. Cradle for the garmin is not fantastic. The energy connection in the car or truck is connected directly to the garmin and not to the cradle so everytime you leave the car or truck you will need to disconnect the connection from the back of the garmin and also remove it from the cradle. kinda annoying. Make certain to update the Maps to the latest version as you only have 60days from obtain to do this.

Finds sattelites fast.Names streets and states directions clearlyCan find you by coordinates or street intersectionsCan give elevation above imply sea levelHas in depth maps of most areasCan zoom into certain areas. Can zoom out to great distancesLets you know of "Traffic Ahead"When a turn is missed it will appear for an alternate path. Gets stuck on going one way in heavy website traffic. When it makes up its mind on a route it won't alter till you're far more than half way there. Can't destinguish amongst upper and reduced roadways on bridges. Let it understand preferences of driver - shortest distance isn't shortest travel time.At times doesn't notify driver of turns in a speedy adequate manner.

Good value - bought on sale. SD card slot. Doesn't look much diverse from a nuvi 260 I have applied for about 2 years. I do like the bigger screen on the 265WT however. Nice heavy duty power cord vs. the 260. Poor user guidelines. I downloaded the PDF file from the Garmin web internet site, but still was not impressed. Maps had been from 2009 and purchased on March 6, 2011. I went to the Garmin internet web-site and soon after registering my nuvi, I downloaded a totally free map update 2011.040. It took about 1-1ǘ hours to comprehensive. You must download the update inside 60 days immediately after registering. If I had to do it all more than once again, I would have purchased the nuvi that accepts voice commands. It is alot more dollars but you get what you pay for. It requires also long to variety in all the needed details. I want to use the bluetooth feature with my phone but with poor instructions, I am not truly certain how that works. I will verify Google to see how other 265WT owners do it.

I appreciate how straightforward it is to use.The volume is wonderful for in the vehicle. And I'm not even employing it at full volume. It offers very fluid directions.I adore the speed limit sign: it's excellent for these roads that are vaguely marked, I can appear down and rather typically see how rapid I need to be going. I'm a small confused how it can say in 1 path to use an intersection but then coming back the same way it doesn't know that intersection performs and so it wants to take you around to places that don't function. It seems some of the map makers have miss programmed bridges and roads and that's sort of funny to have your GPS start recalculating. But if your lost or absolutely new to the area then you'd be hosed. Sad to see technologies abandoning the Owner's Manual. I believed that was just this product's difficulty, but talking to coworkers lots of technology is posting Owner's Manuals on the internet and telling you the customer to go get it if you want it.Can't wait to attempt the visitors portion of it out this weekend.Don't be as well worried about the site visitors advertisements, they're little and out of the way. Sometimes I see them at times I don't. So I wouldn't say they stick out as well much. For those of you asking yourself about how massive of a SD card you can use. I got ahold of Garmin and they said if you've flashed the device to the newest firmware/software it can study up to 16 GB cards.

Totally free Map upgrade on the web, user friendly, TTS. It's every little thing you need in a GPS. Battery life seems a bit brief, turning off the Speech function seems to extend the use. Keep away from Tom Tom

Effectively the 1 I got is good. All nearby roads on my way to operate were dead on. Just received it right now and its the incorrect model. Ordered the 265WT and the unit says 265W on it. I don't have th box right here so I'm not positive what that says. I'll be doing an RMA. It appears getting the incorrect model is a frequent situation. I've been ordering from NewEgg for years and this is the initially time I've received the incorrect item.

Almost everything works fine. Appears a lot load sufficient. Like any GPS it finds most anything. Some stuff is hasn't discovered, but I have identified a GPS that is ideal that way. Screen is a good size and appear good. We appreciate the various autos you can download. Bluetooth operates fantastic. The Cord! It is huge. The plug on the back is a discomfort, BUT you can get utilised to unplugging. That is all I can feel of. Newegg had it a excellent cost and their service is generally good. I would advise this GPS to everyone.

Easy to setup, but we skipped obtaining updates for now primarily based on the horror stories here. Even with that, it's pretty up to date and correct. Has a extended battery life and very good touchscreen. As other people have mentioned, if you location this in a far corner of the windshield, the charging cable drapes more than the steering column. I want the cord had been longer and much less like a phone cord (if anyone nevertheless remembers those).

Ordered Friday and received Tuesday!! I've only had the unit a couple of hours but, I did use it on my way to operate. ྾ mile ride) It appeared to be dead on with street names. Even Lanes that have been dead ends were listed. It sync'd up to my iPhone in about 45 seconds. Model # on item does not match Model # on-line.See Other Thoughts beneath....It'd be good to have an AC charger come with the unit. I just received my unit nowadays. Even though checking the Nuvi 265WT web page, I noticed some folks claimed they received the wrong model. I checked. Sure sufficient, I ordered a 265WT and received a 265W. I checked the Garmin Web site and couldn't even discover a 265W. I promptly filed an RMA. I then decided to do some study. I fould numerous blogs stating the 265W and 265WT are the precise very same model. I also discovered that ALL 265 models have the FM Targeted traffic.I called and cancelled my RMA. I also informed them of this problem. Hopefully persons will see this posting just before filing an RMA pondering they received the incorrect item. For additional information, you can just Google "garmin 265w vs 265wt"

Haven't had time to play with it sufficient to give it a solid rating but I've been employing it locally, and it's fairly correct. Will post update right after July trip.

Worked fine. When traveling it was good to be able to form in and find shopping, locations to consume, etc. The screen is nice and clear. No dead pixels or something like that. was driving thru DC and the website traffic update added close to an hour on my trip. The lifetime website traffic is a nice concept...if i could redo i would save the extra dollars and purchase the 255W although. The lifetime website traffic and the bluetooth speaker just arn't up to snuff.

Wonderful GPS - Garmin is supposed to be the best, and i adore this point! Really like the widescreen! Comes with "lifetime traffic" which functions fantastic in Boston and surrounding areas. Tells me in plenty of time when a turn is coming up. Really Extremely precise place, speed, speed limits, and travel information. Awesome, Amazing After about two weeks of owning i plugged into laptop - did the installs from Garmin and now when i turn it on it beeps at me and says it failed to connect to telephone. not a huge deal, but annoying to hear it each time. i will try to fix eventually.Bluetooth functions effectively - but when driving folks have a really hard time hearing me. i dont know if its road noise, or poor excellent - but it was a good function that i cant use ;-( General Excellent item. Free shipping and excellent value keeps me coming back to Newegg! Cant think i didnt have a GPS sooner.Just Obtain it!I was comparing to the Nuvi 780 - really related, but the 780 is discontinued, and the 265wt is nevertheless supported model, just a heads up!

I have traveled all more than Washinton state and the maps and directions have been very correct. I noted that some of the reviewers of this product rate it reduced becasue it doesn't seem to navigate effectively in certain locations and I can't comment on that given that I haven't been there, but for the NW portion of the country it has worked remarkably properly. The last GPS method I had is a Garmin 60SX (I think) and this unit with the touch screen and keyboard input is SO much less difficult to use, I doubt I will ever use the 60SX unless I'm out hiking or a thing. It has routed me on various routes I didn't believe was more quickly so I ignored it and went my personal way. I hit traffic and realized the route it chose would have been far better taking into consideration site visitors - I won't ignore it once more.I was so pleased w/ the unit I bought a single for my dad for Father's Day. He, becoming "old college" was very skeptical to the usefullness, but immediately after two days of playing with it he couldn't cease talking about it. It's a gr8 unit. NONE I come across the auto fill for inputting information incredibly beneficial and saves a ton of time. Style has been well believed out and is Quite user friendly - my wife can even use it. ;)
