Impressive scaling potential compared to what im use to on the Radeon side. I owned a 5970 + 5850 and the drivers have been such a headache I finally gave up and sold them and bought two of these, I don't regret my acquire at all. Run a tiny toast. I have the SLI configuration in slots 1 and two mainly because I need the PCI x1 slot for my wireless adapter so card 1 runs about eight-10c hotter then card 2, still within a secure variety so no biggy.

This card is amazing. All games I've played on it so far have ran flawlessly and without the require for SLI. Crysis, Battlefield BC2, UT3, and Batman: Arkham Asylum are my most graphically taxing games, and this card runs them like a boss. It runs a small warmer than I would like it to (I assume 74C is as higher as I've seen it so far), but it's within the acceptable range. The card is also quite major. Luckily, I don't require that further HDD bay. I'm organizing on acquiring the backplate for it to aid reduced temperatures a small bit. Fastest Single Gpu. Nevertheless not more rapidly than the 5970 disappointing and even though benchmarks say a single point lots of men and women who have purchased sli setups with this card claim it doesn't operate appropriately. Don't personal it wish I could afford just about every peace of hard ware. I have also noticed in benchmarks on this card and they generally concentrate on the ones that favor nvidia but what ever. It's the larger the resolution and a lot more aa and af you pump up it gets substantially closer to the functionality of a 5870 by such a close margin you're hunting at a handful of frames. I don't know about any individual else but I don't play my games at 1280 x 1024 with no aa are af. Just not confident about a solution that only seriously seems to shine on bench marks that genuinely concentrate heavily on phys x with reduced resolutions. But future drivers might resolve that situation. Until that time for the price tag and performance I see I would rather get a 5970 for 500 dollars, are just wait a couple of more days till there is the subsequent step of ati cards to choose from which are just right around the corner. Also I do have patience and I know that can be difficult when you want to have what appears like to be the finest at the time. Either way lengthy time nvidia user. But unsure about this a single might finish up attempting an ati card this time.

This card is so quickly... I don't know what is bottlenecking my program, but I know it isn't the card. I can now play each and every game I own on the highest settings, and I'm purchasing new games just to put them to the test. The price. It's a lot to invest, but I've wanted a leading of the line gaming method for about 13 years, and now that I can afford it I was willing to make the investment. If you're not a gamer, or rich, then this isn't the card for you. It's a future-proof card. Getting SLI capable and this effective, I'll only want to obtain yet another a single of these cards in 1 to two years to remain at the state of the art. By then, the card will be a lot cheaper, so look at it as an investment in your program.

- Plays practically every single high end game with no problems.- I have it on an older DDR2 GigaByte GA-P35-DS3P board with PCIE v1.1 proper now, BUT it's intriguing to see what a higher end card like this can do on a 5 year old system. It seriously shows how the rest of the program can bottleneck overall performance. Even so, it maxes out everything I have thrown at it. Don't you just hate it when you pay บ much more a week prior and the price drops. LOL. Oh nicely. Interested to see what the price tag drops to when the dual-GPU version comes out

Finally got mine from the step-up plan traded two gtx 470's in for two of these negative boys. Worked perfected out of the box, got them below watercooling and have been pushing the OC so far have them steady at 950 gpu and 2150 memory with an idle temp of 35-38 degrees and load that hits 50-52 degrees. Quite strong cards and run cooler than my prior gtx 470s by about 10 degrees at full load! None Extremely Pleased with the whole step-up just took abit of time because of the demand for these I guess, but general cannot beat the deal got two for much less than the expense of one particular....

Everything! I have had this card considering that launch date. It has performed MOST Great!! With the latest driver update I am seeing 15%-30% improvement from the GTX 480 it replaced. I had posted back in November anout the card, but I wanted to let you prospective buyers this is the suitable card for you. I am gaming in 2560x1600 and the way this card can handle Crysis, Metro 2033, and Mafia 2 is amazing in that resolution. Nothing, you pay leading dollar for top rated of the line. I am a fanboy of each organizations. I also personal a 6970 HD, and let me inform you that card is not a slouch. It as well has awesome gains on my old GTX 480. It does beat the 580 in some benchmarks I have completed, but the majority nonetheless goes to the GTX 580 in 2560X1600. I can't speak for decrease resolutions (don't have any other size), but if you want the quickest DX11 GPU than the GTX 580 is the card for you. Also one particular issue that does bother me about the 6970, how the hell is a corporation going to admit in their press confrence that they will take a back seat to the competitors? I more than 15 years of constructing I have never ever noticed such a thing. Also the 6970 is as hot as this card, and the fan is louder at one hundred%

What a incredible graphics card. Finally I can run games at 1920x1080 with all the eye candy staying at constant 60 fps. I upgraded from a Sparkle brand GTX 275 and hated the factor! It was so loud and ran truly hot, commonly 50C idle and got up to 90C in games. That card gave me so several glitches and shut downs. This card runs super quiet and I in no way seen it go above 72C, and idles under 40C. The card has a solid make high quality and appears excellent. You get extra stuff from EVGA and Nvidia to make it all the greater. I guess price, and possibly that they make it to where you want to use the adapter for HDMI unless T.V.'s now come with mini HDMI, but I don't care, this card is a beast. Don't use the disk as the drivers are going to be outdated, I just got the most recent from Nvidia when I was employing just the regular Windows VGA driver. It just saves time.I also believed that my three year old 750 watt energy provide wouldn't be able to manage this card but it is functioning fine.Core i7 920 @ three.4GhzEVGA X586GB G.Talent 1600Mhz120GB Phoenix Pro SSDEVGA GTX 580Rosewill 750 watt PSUAntec 1200 case

Compared to my preceding GTX 285 this card has a decent efficiency improvement and also doesn't get as hot or as loud. The energy consumption for this card contemplating its performance is really fantastic. Price tag? But if you are going to acquire the fastest single-GPU card offered, you possibly anticipate the cost to be somewhat higher. I've had no troubles with this card. Everything functions as advertised.

Appreciate Really like Appreciate this card. For anybody that says they didnt see a massive jump in efficiency. It's in all probability your system. I place this in my buddys pc, eh. In mine it was night and day. I went from a 9800GT and I couldn't be happier. Appears like the much more you throw at it the far better it runs. A small spendy and I want I would have sprung for the SC edition, but the retailer I purchased it from didn't have the SC in stock. I bought regional since I was trying out the ati 6970 vs the gtx 580 and wanted the ease of returning. Newegg was on the other hand ฤ less expensive.

I don't know if its a pro, but it prices a 7.9 in WEI. My initially difficulty was the HDMI. The colors were extremely faded. The only way it looked decent was with the DVI. Not a huge dealSo I began playing games. Proper away I believed it was wonderful. It began SC2 with over 200 fps. But if a semi-intense battle sequence arose, the fps swiftly dropped to well below 80. My 5870 in no way got reduced than 120, even in the most intensive scenes. Then i tried crysis, and I was blown away. It was acquiring 60 fps steadily (Ultra settings) but as soon as any type of action started it went down to 10! My 5870 never ever dropped under 35, ever. I am not an ATI fanboy but I have been a lifelong ATI guy mainly because of the value/performance ratio. When Nvidia released this card I thought I would make the switch because of the rave evaluations it was receiving. Poor notion on my aspect. Manufacturer Response:Hi,What are the specifics of your comprehensive program?StarCraft two in particular is quite CPU intensive, and performance is quickly influenced by the speed of the processor. Thanks,Jacob

I went from 285GTX SLI to this card and was hoping for very same/better performance in one particular card option. Definitely got that. 285's have been WAY as well hot in my Lian Li case and this 580 GTX has solved the issue absolutely. Gets me away from asking yourself if game has SLI profile or not and if it's optimized. I play all games at 2560x1600, 285's could not push WoW at ultra and 2x AA with out stuttering (SLI profile not optimized i'm confident). This card Never ever leaves 60 fps on ultra setting. Rift was also a bummer at my native resolution (and the heat was like a toaster on the back of my box) in that I had to turn things way down. Minimum FPS in Rift is now never beneath 48 fps with edge smoothing AA (supersampling is just not worth it yet) and full shadows. I have actually not identified one particular however. I'm genuinely happy so far. I searched high and low on the interwebs searching for someone to examine Accurate genuine world efficiency among 285 GTX SLI and a 1 card 580 GTX answer but could not come across it. I'm here to answer that... GET it. Way much less heat, power consumption, SLI headaches and essentially superior efficiency general plus the new technologies like tesselation and DX11. Hope this was valuable.

EVGA's software to help overclockers falls behind some competitors, but not by a complete lot.
