Tough to decide, due to it not working but. Driver is not prepared for public consumption but. I cannot get this card to operate properly in Win7-64 or Linux at this time. Wait a few weeks for the driver to mature. I have had practically nothing but difficulties with this card/driver so far. I've been operating with Windows/Linux due to the fact 1994, so you have to be Incredibly competent in order to get this working. I am re-installing my GTX260 for now due to the fact this card does not work for me.Installing from a GTX260 to a GTX460 is not a valid selection for the common user in Linux (Ubuntu). CTRL-ALT-F1 produces a garbled screen. If you get that screen, do NOT obtain this card but. Wait for the driver to mature. Manufacturer Response:Hi,Thanks for the assessment. I would like a lot more particulars on the challenge you are experiencing, can you please contact me straight at jacobf@evga.com.Please reference this Newegg post when you send the e-mail.Thanks,Jacob

Looks nice. Blue screened twice on boot on my new build with 850 watt PSU. 3rd boot motherboard beeps indicated no VGA detected. I tried this card in the Computer I was replacing and got the same motherboard code. I dropped my old 8800Gt into the new create and it booted up just fine. I put this card back in for a single last try and it booted up!!! I downloaded the drivers from Nvidia, restarted the machine and guess what...... : ( I have never ever had anything arrive broken. I guess it was my turn. Manufacturer Response:I am incredibly sorry to hear that you are possessing a challenge with your item. I can assure you that our support is available to help you if troubleshooting or warranty help is necessary. I have run this card for more than 24 hours straight on the GPU3 Folding@Home client, and have accomplished Ӵ,500 points per day. The client tends to make the GPU run at one hundred%, and occasional checks in GPU-Z have shown the GPU averaging at about 74 degrees C at ㅯ% fan speed. I can barely hear the hum of the fan, I might really be hearing my CPU fan. All my games have run at max smoothly. In brief:-Powerful-Cool-Quite-Smaller than my old GTX260-EVGA lifetime warranty Can't believe of any, other than the stock cover feels like inexpensive plastic? Doesnt vent all hot air out the back of the case, due to its cooling design, but my miniP180 has good adequate airflow to deal with that anyways. Before the card arrived, I began to have a small bit of buyers remorse, but now that it is right here, I am loving it.

Fantastic boost in functionality from a Radeon hd4650, runs quiet, cool, and well. Ultra settings for WoW except for High Shadows at 1900x1200 gets 60fps everywhere except org which is still about the 30-40 mark. Didn't come with a bottle opener for the celebration :( Looks sweeeeeeet

Its modest, in comparison to my 9800gt it replaced. it delivers on each and every game so far, don't anticipate to play metro 2033 on something larger than 1280x720 with all settings maxed in game Don't actually have any cons so far. The fan isn't also negative but its a bit louder than my 9800gt. I was truly hoping to see some amazing distinction over my 9800gt but meh all I got was the capacity to play sc2 on 1920x1080 with all settings maxed, which isn't significantly of a con I guess. My 9800gt could do 1440x900 prior to needing to turn down some settings if I wanted to go greater.

Easy installation. HDMI audio volume was lower by approx. 50% under Windows 7 64 bit. Sound volume is OK below XP Pro. I am not sure the card performs up to the EVGA's memory bandwidth claims. Stay away from acquiring this card till the issue is corrected.

Good small upgrade over my GTS250. The decrease temps are worth it alone. Not really a con considering that you will by no means want 100% fan, but it sounds like a 747 at larger levels. I have seriously only played New Vegas with this auto so far, but it hasn't gone over 49* with 40% fan. Wonderful FPS at 1920x1080 with 8xAA and 16xAF.

large upgrade in overall performance from my 9xxx series card. runs GRID and Black Ops on 1920x1080 with higher settings like a champ and doesn't break 60C.Card is only 8 1ǚ inches or so lengthy although most cards of this performance level are ten+, excellent area saver. cooling fan is inaudible up to about 50% which is as higher as you'll ever need it. don't have two for SLI

Super quick. Runs cool. None. Assistance: Don't get the F T W version of this card which is factory overclocked. My knowledge was negative (got all sorts of anomailes like flashing polygons) due to a terrible GPU. Ended up sending it back (RMA) and getting this card. It was nice to get a ฤ rebate and a free game. Thanks nVidia and eVGA! :-)

Chews by means of every thing I throw at it; Crysis 1 and two run at maximum settings at 1440x900, doesn't even break a sweat. Good and quiet, also; even at 100%, the fan isn't specifically loud. None at all. Upgraded from an EVGA GeForce 9600GT, that card served me well for quite a few years, but it was time to finally move up to the major leagues, and I am not disappointed a single iota.EVGA is my top rated choice when it comes to getting pc components; their buyer support is best-notch, and their warranties can't be beat.

Games like Crysis stuttered randomly, Beta drivers fixed this but are NOT reccomended. The GTX 560 is coming on January 25th, so for these looking at this card, take your time, and assume it by way of.

Massively quickly at a fantastic cost. Runs the most intensive games with ease. Fermi core GPU handles game physics and BOINC applications with speed. Significant reference cooler offers lots of heat sink location to retain this card operating hard for a lengthy time and massive fan keeps the card cool with out sounding like a jet turbine. HDMI connector is a good touch, as is the dual-head connectors which will allow you to connect the card to two monitors and an HDTV at the same time. Dilemma no cost nVidia drivers; don't even set up the disk that comes with it, just get the newest straight from nVidia's web site. Card is large. The reference cooler style; even though engineered for thermal efficiency takes a lot of space. OEM computer systems with reverse situation styles like some Dells (cases that have a removable proper panel and a correct-hand mounting motherboard) might not be in a position to fit the card due to the fact the card is double-height. It's developed to match into a standard left-hand situation. Also, this card requires TWO six-pin PCI style power connectors which is problematic if you don't have a power supply with them. If you don't have a power provide with two six-pin PCI energy connectors on it, get one particular. Farting around with the integrated Molex adapter cables isn't worth the trouble. I purchased two of these cards for a pair of machines and the functionality is outstanding. I originally tried to set up one in a Dell Optiplex but because of it's correct-handed case/motherboard design, it wouldn't fit since with the card going in upside-down, I would require a backplane mount above the leading-most slot in order to mount it. Plays StarCraft 2 with anything set to ultra and every thing else I place it up against runs smooth as silk. It's priced exactly where it won't break the bank and is at the peak of the "best bang for the buck" curve... immediately after which you're paying too a lot for minimal further efficiency. If you're hunting for a single,do every little thing, decently priced video card that will play all your games or your children games, this is it.

Functions great when it functions. The 460's are possessing massive troubles. Just go to the NVIDIA site and there is a thread over 26 pages lengthy about computer systems freezing up soon after a couple of days of use. From what has been mentioned the card function fine in XP but in VISTA and Win7 there is a very good possibility of lockups. NIVIDIA says that they can see that there is a challenge but they can't reproduce it on their comps and so have no way of fixing the issue. I'm returning this card and acquiring one thing else.Look INTO THESE CARDS Prior to YOU Obtain!

This card has been good so far. Performs nicely at reasonably fantastic temperatures. SLI assistance tends to make this a best moderately cost candidate to run SLI. It came with some great EVGA more than clocking computer software that is extremely user friendly and makes it possible for the usual assigning of hotkeys to alter amongst more than clocking profiles. The cards efficiency is about what I expected (pretty dang good). Cant beat the value for these specs. none so far The plastic case surrounding the heat dissipation portion of the card made it impossible to use my case's straightforward clip in card management thing. Even so this isn't a con to me because i prefer to screw everything in securely anyway.

I have two of these in an SLI setup with a core i7 930 proc and 12gb of ddr3 ram and I'm in a position to play Fallout: New Vegas on 1920x1200 with every little thing maxed out. These cards have been pretty silent (especially as compared to the 8800GT which they replaced). I suspect this is at least partially due to the larger diameter fan (my 8800gt had a tiny fan!).They're also a bit shorter than my old card which produced installation considerably easier. energy hungry. I had to replace my old energy supply with a higher wattage one particular to support two of these cards. Receiving these set up under WIndows 7 was a snap, but I run a dual boot system with Ubuntu as my primary OS. Nvidia has pretty good driver support for Linux, but I did hit a few snags. If you have a dual monitor setup, be certain to plug each monitors in to the master video card (leaving the slave empty). If you plug one particular monitor into each video card you will be forced to run Xinerama instead of TwinView. Xinerama has terrible support for desktop effects (and why would you want to run Compiz with out desktop effects?)
