So far, how cool the card runs is what i'm excited about. With my fan at 65%, it runs about 45c. The fan is noticible at 65, but it isn't very loud until you hit around 70-75%. At 100% its a tornado in the case. But its so a lot cooler than my old 8800GTX which idled at 70c. This card has yet to go over 60c when gaming, and was only at about 65c when utilizing EVGA OCScanner. So far i'm finding fantastic framerate and smooth gameplay with no framerate drops at all, all with AA and AF enabled in specific games.Add in a totally free Mafia 2 coupon, and then presents from the EVGA web page for cost-free Metro 2033 and a Starcraft 2 trial and you have a huge value. None so far. EVGA's trustworthy cards and lifetime warranty leave me with practically nothing to complain about. I nonetheless have a lot to do with the card as for overclocking, but this factor is great. I got this suitable before the value spiked up and the rebate expired. I got this card for a truly excellent price.

-Wonderful overclocking potential. I haven't touched voltage however but I've observed reviewers hitting 850񳊔񳏀 apparently and I could in all probability hit near those speeds with some voltage tweaks. Even though on air cooling, at fan 100% I'd think about temps would get into the 80-85 C variety on FurMark.-Coming from an 8600 GT, this temporary GTX 465 upgrade should last me fairly awhile and gameplay is so significantly smoother. The card won't max out just about every game but it'll play anything at 1080p strong frames on medium good quality.-one hundred% fan speed stock clocks peaks about 65 C and idles at anyplace from 35-40 C depending on ambient temperature. -This issue does draw a lot of energy. This isn't so substantially of a con as a word of warning, I'm running a 4.5 year old FSP FX700-GLN 700w power supply. So far it's stable but the energy supply only has two PCI-e six-pin cables, coming from the days SLI was nonetheless in it's infancy. The amperage the card draws when running FurMark or heavy mode EVGA OC Scanner is adequate to make the lights flicker in time with the GPU load. This almost certainly won't influence most individuals as my home has a cr4p amp rating but it is a heads up. -It honestly isn't that loud. two Koolance 12025HBK fans on complete virtually drown out the GPU fan at one hundred%, three fans possibly would.-At 100% fan speed, 25 C ambient temps, stock clocks, GPU peaks around 65 C -Granted the peak temperature increases with overclocking, but I won't overclock for awhile anyhow-This overview isn't so much of a 'h0ly cr4p this card is awesome :O' post but rather just letting men and women know that A) the fan speed at 100% is bearable (for me at least, I'm utilised to a noisy Computer) B) The GPU doesn't run that hot if you aren't stupid and maintaining it silent at 40% max below heavy pressure and C) The card draws noticeable amps so just a heads up, though 700 w out-of-date PSU powers it fine. -PS, my EVGA Superclocked GTX 465 accepts the unofficial ASUS GPU unlock software program giving me 448 shaders, and I'm fairly sure my PCB has 10 memory chips though I haven't however taken the heatsink off to confirm. If I can confirm my card unlocks, 100%, I will.

Does specifically what you'd anticipate it to do. It's not a monster, but it'll play modern day games (i.e., WoW, MWF2, etc) excellent with supporting hardware. None so far. It's carried out every thing I anticipated I was paying for. A lot of critiques for similar cards seem to be complaining about heat and noise; personally, I run six fans plus this card with the stock cooler and have problems with neither ࿍*C idle, 50-55*C complete load). The entire method isn't any louder than, say, a quietly operating sink.

Upgraded from GTX 260 Core 216 Edition. This card just blew the doors off the old card. I had to finish my mobo off and get three total! I really like this Card it is rock strong quick and doesn't even flinch at a point I throw at it. Great upgrade for a value that's like whoa! Oh Yeah! XD NON _ O _ RINO nVidia is and will be my Video card manufacturer of Selection now and a extended time forward. They just continue to amaze me with each upgrade I throw in and I truly hope they resolve their troubles with Intel and Join Forces with them to fight the AMD/ATI battle which is powerful and continuing to turn out well competing hardware. Won't transform me from nVidia though unless they completely start out generating garbage which is anything I just can't picture for the life of me.

a lot greater than the gtx 260 i had just before, it can be overclocked significantly superior than other cards i had, im at the moment operating 850񳊔񳎿 (core/shader/memory) and nevertheless steady, and max temp is only 44C with Zalman VF3000F cooler, hugely advocate this cooler none, its a entire inch shorter than the gtx 260, there obtaining smaller sized :) Critical, if you have a Asus motherboard you have to Disable "PCIE Spread Spectrum" in the bios or the Nvidia driver WILL NOT Set up.

This card has accomplished all I required it to. Plays 1080p videos without a hiccup, has fantastic, helpful outputs with DVI and mini-HDMI. Plays WoW completely maxed with no challenges. Very good accesories and support from a trusted brand. Stellar price tag at the 赀 I got it for. Runs crazy hot. Its really frustrating actually. The good news is that the FERMI chipsest is recognized to be hotter, and the card is tested not to shed efficiency all the way up to 105C- which is good mainly because mine climbs as high as 75C with the slightest activity. This is almost certainly since of the "superclocking" that comes with the card, and with its already beefy overall performance, I would possibly advise against this model mainly because the typical version only has temps (according to a buddy who owns 1) in the mid 50C variety on load. I knocked off a couple eggs mainly because it is impossible to cool this card- I have arctic silver five on it, attempted cooling it with and w/o the plastic covering, and have a 120mm on Higher suitable subsequent to it undertaking nothing at all. Its hot air pollutes my case and makes my area my hot- nothing else in my tower is above 40C. Oh and its huge- match with less than 1ǚ inch clearance in an Antec 900 and of course two slots. A lot more causes for docked eggs under Driver problems. These will abate with time, but the driver has crashed ten+ instances in the several weeks I've had the card installed. I've played for 15 hours with no difficulties, and other occasions it fails every 45 minutes, no singular cause it seems. The accesories are great, but I have touble with the HDMI connection dropping and not recognizing when one thing is plugged into it. Its annoying that it makes use of mini-hdmi rather of a regular one, especially due to the fact hdmi cords are so hefty, it desires the further surface region to be plugged in snugly. Took an particularly extended time to get the heatsync reconnected soon after unscrewing to apply much better paste- it has springloaded screws that you have to fairly substantially stand on prime of to get to the threads they go in to. I nevertheless adore EVGA and for some people these concerns won't be a dilemma. I want alot out of my solutions, and although I don't have alot of experience with this new and really distinct chipset, I feel like I didn't rather get all that I was looking for.

Did a lot of analysis ahead of I went with two of these in SLi. I am actually delighted with the performance from a pair of these. When reading the critiques and benchmarks a pair of these beats down the GTX 480 while operating considerably quieter and cooler. With the promo code and the EVGA rebate I ended up paying about 跠 for the pair, a 贶 significantly less then 1 GTX 480 and they out execute it !!! None If you are going to run these in SLi I would advise that you have excellent airflow in your case, a side intake blowing on the cards is a should have. The top card usually runs about 10-20 degress warmer then the bottom one particular but that is to be anticipated since it is pulling air from a quite tight spot.

Can we say OVERCLOCK! I at sitting at 800񳋸 as I form this with space to go some additional. I now have two of these for SLI, and they outperform any single card out there with only the a couple of cards from Nvidia, and ATI at the very same level as this card. 32K 2d Mark Vantage score in SLI. Just install, and Windows will do the rest. Quite simple setup. None Don't listen to the folks who say you need to not get an overclocked a single due to the fact you can do it oneself. A. The overclocked ones expense the similar, or even much less, than some, but are appropriate there with most of them. B. Frequent sense would dictate an overclocked 1 most most likely will overclock even far better, since it need to go through testing at larger speeds. Both my cards are at 800񳋸 right now, that's 480gtx numbers, for significantly less than half the cost, and two of these blows any single card out the water. I would rather have two of these all day more than 1 480gtx, or anything ATI has to present, and it would cost me much less, than a single card.

Upgraded my 8400 with this, i don't do alot of gaming but i believed it was time to grab a decent video card. I'm a massive fan of CUDA and use it for offloading 1080p decoding from my cpu. I ran barswf cuda md5 cracker as a benchmark this vs my old 8400. 8400: 40m/second465GTX: 980m/second.plays HL2 on high every little thing, appears lovely. 190fps. attempted crysis: warhead and it played nicely with nearly maxed out settings. minecraft(big deal) but i was obtaining 200fps in it, compared at 30ish with the 8400. issue is hot. 90C below load, idling at around 60C. I'm unsure if thats .. standard but that appears pretty hot to me. thats the only actual complaint i have. I adore this card. I'd like to get 3 of them.

Rapidly. Quiet. Really simple to overclock. -Size. But that is to be anticipated with these variety of cards. They will take up two slots in your case, so I suggest acquiring a complete tower.-Enclosure. I personally like cards that do not have an enclosure. Tends to retain the heat in a lot more than let out. Fan is good even so, and is quiet till about 75% Good product, uncomplicated product registration, and installation was a snap. Great software for easy OC'ing. Price is decent for such a good card and I truly look forward to getting a different for SLI.

Windows Update KB983615 All of the benches execute beautifully and tesselation is wonderful! Despite the fact that this isn't the absolute prime card with DX11 characteristics, anyone operating a 200 series card will be very pleased, and from a 9 or eight series will expertise the full-on jaw drop. Higher-performance, low temp compared to other cards. Can run most games with full specs (Crysis, Just Result in two, BF: BC2, etc) Loud exhaust fan, and application glitches. I bought the card and installed it into a new technique i built and it ran perfectly for a handful of hours. I can leave it on for about 1-2hrs tops ahead of the method locks up. i tried a video card from another method and it worked fine. Possibly anything is incorrect with the NAND chip/controller on the card? I would surely advise. External exhaust is nice; keeps the towers internal 5C+ cooler.
