Cons: none

Pros: Great for a HTPC built
Comment:
Used this for a HTPC. Low power consumption, Support all codec for a HTPC, no fan so no noise. I use Splash as a player with this card. Great value

If you just need any video card, this is for you. The quality is not great. You get what you pay for. I will be getting nvidia from now on. Ati is the Amd of graphics. Its junk.

Cons: Large heatsink extended to the back of the PCB.

Pros: Low Profile, Passive cooling
Comment:
Radeon 4550 has double the bandwidth than the typical 4350, better for 1080i de-interlacing. With passive cooling makes it one of the best HTPC card. Only problem is it may not fit some SFF case because the headsink extended to the back of the PCB.

it got a rating of 5.2 out of 5.9 for gaming, not bad for the price. However the big heatsink makes this low-profile card too tall for a 4700c case.

Bought this card to replace a burned out GF6600 on a machine with a 400W power supply. Was pleasantly surprised at it's power. Ran all the games with ease, and only required 300W from the power supply. HDMI output just icing on the cake. Great card for those who have an existing system, small power supply and are looking for a little more uumph...

I traded a GT210 card that had no low profile bracket available in for this card. The HDMI port was D.O.A. and I was looking for a low profile card with HDMI to use in my Dell 530s which is part of my entertainment system. It is being repaired and sent back to me. Hopefully, it will work now.

I replaced my dead nvidia 8400 with this one and are surprised with HD 1080p quality of this video card, easy installation and driver loading, no more frozen video although there was some delay frames when running Hi Def screen saver. No problem watching HD movies with smoother and cleaner image

I use it for PC to TV and it works perfect. I totally agree with the above reveiwers. The only thing I changed with Windows configurationis to turn power saving off to the monitor because it wouldnt power up after the monitor went to sleep. I would recommend this card to others for similar application.

I did a lot of research and found that this is a great card for the price. It runs a little hot (no fan) but you can buy it knowing you will be able to install it in ANY low profile case b/c it is half length and draws very little power (no power supply problems!). It was a snap to install the drivers and I had zero compatibility issues. With a decent CPU/RAM you can play crysis on medium or max out HL2, which is plenty for a casual gamer like myself. I've OC'd it using the ati autotune which does improve performance somewhat. As long as it doesn't burn out Im very satisfied.

I am not a gamer and wouldn't consider a budget card such as this if I was into heavy duty games ( although it does not have any issues when playing oblivion ). But for what I bought it for it is great. I bought it to watch movies on my LCD TV and the have video AND audio on the TV using just one cable. (DVI to HDMI only carries video ) Works great for that purpose. Sends a 1080p signal to my TV and plays movies like it should. HDMI to the TV and DVI to computer monitor. Perfect set up for me.
