Right after installing the drivers, and updating them, it works perfectly. working with CCC (Catalyst Control Center) I set the Anti-aliasing to 8x, and it plays Oblivion at max settings, Medieval 2: Total War, and numerous others. And I'm just employing the VGA port. Ahh, thats yet another pro, the VGA port. obtaining harder to uncover them, and I'm at present utilizing an older monitor that ONLY has VGA! 512mb. Obviously, it is that, it says on all the specs and almost everything, but that's the only con I can believe of! And for my purposes, it actually isn't one. Nonetheless, if you have the further money, and play far more Initially Individual Shooters (or just newer games) I would propose the 1gb version. Why is the fan on GPU's usually facing down? That drives me crazy. I want to see the fan on the prime, and watch it spin sometimes...

The Cards are considerably shorter than any card with this kind of energy, and depending on the viewpoint, Not getting to use sixǞ Pin Vid-card Energy cables is type of good. Don't Knock the energy it puts out devoid of it, since it just beats down each game i've thrown at it. As soon as you get this card, the only limitation with what you do is your computer systems speed. GDDR5 512MB Flies. Like i said based on the Viewpoint, No sixǞ Pin Vid-card Energy Cable. Not a Con for me Though as the energy it puts out is just Wonderful. I wanted these so terrible, i ordered overnight, and i am not disappointed...Even though i did want to search for more than an hour for appropriate drivers... but that's what i get for installing at two-am, dead brain. Its the Redwood Model, which i can't come across a difference from the typical models except no specific connector.

Low-cost, quite, has good name (or at least I thought it did) DRIVERS. The drivers on the disk operate excellent in my system. On the other hand, that is as far as it goes. NONE of the updates have worked for this card. Often uninstalling, and reinstalling the software attempting to uncover drivers that will support the card. ATI's internet site must constantly forget this particular model, as the drivers for it have in no way worked. I have purchased my Final ATI item. The only reason 1 egg is given: It worked proper out of the box, and then never again.

None that I know of. I bought this card back in December for an older personal computer to upgrade the video a little. I just got about to installing it and the laptop won't even boot with it in location. Went back to motherboard graphics for now. Common excellent service from Newegg but I must have installed it when I received it. I received an RMA from Althon Micro in about thirty minutes. Will send it back today and see what takes place.

Runs Crysis on Higher settings, decent functionality for non-editing, basic use laptop with above average gaming functionality... DX11 compatable... powered soley by PCIexpress, no wires from your PS needed It makes use of electrical energy Verify the benchmarks, the 512mb card is quite comparable to the exact very same 1 with 1gb... few FPS in specific games for a bit more affordable. Does exactly what it needs to on my rig, and I was impressed with its mid-level gaming efficiency, but I'm certain I'll upgrade later.

I bought this card due to the fact anything I study said it was a very good media center Computer card at a price that wouldn't break the bank and OK for gaming (not going to win any awards, but it wasn't built to). I truly get a WEI score of 7. with this, which shocked me, I believed it would be in the 6 one thing variety for certain. I use my desktop as a multifunction computer (Media Computer, school work, some gaming). I am able to play Stalker: SoC, TF2, and BF: BC2 with no problems...so it meets my gaming demands. It is also a quiet card, which is constantly a benefit! none but! From my experience ATI cards are not as dependable as NVIDIA (random issues and occasional buggy behavior)...this one has had some driver difficulties, but new drivers from ATI have all seemed to resolve these so far. I don't consider this is the finest bang for your buck, but it is a excellent card and as lengthy as you aren't anticipating it to be an great gaming card, I think you will be quite pleased.

Newer features? I plugged this card into my method (Asus A8n 32SLI Deluxe) and was in the approach of installing the drivers when my Pc BSOD'd. I rebooted an then got beep codes from my Pc. Abruptly the space filled with a burning smell. I opened the case and the burned my finger on the card due to the fact it was super hot. I was in a position to use my old card once more in my Pc. I do NOT suggest this card. I am contacting Newegg....

Good low price range gaming card.Doesn't require a power lead from the power provideThis card can run tf2 and l4d2 (the key games I play) at full graphics, full AA, complete AF on 1920x1080 at about 60fps typical. The sound by way of HDMI drivers are good and make it uncomplicated for me to just plug my speakers into my LCD and have them operate for my Computer, Xbox, and Tv. None of the drivers on the ATI web site for this card would operate for me on Windows 7 (x64). This is the very first time I've ever had to install my graphics drivers off a CD, commonly those are currently outdated by the time you acquire your card.CoD4 does not fair as properly as Supply engine games for fps, had to lessen the graphics high quality a bit from max for it to be playable.Red Faction: Guerrilla I briefly tested, I got like 4fps when standing nevertheless with max graphics on 1920x1080. It appears so good, but so unplayable. I haven't tested it additional to see at what level it becomes playable.I don't have a lot else to test it with appropriate now, but I can\'t take away any eggs for the cards performance at the price level it is at. The functionality at present exceeds the value.

It just performs. I upgraded from onboard ATI 3200HD series, and the improvement is incredibly noticeable. None Windows 7 initially told me that no suitable driver could be identified even though I had currently installed the Catalyst 10.2 drivers. Nevertheless, after a reboot the Radeon 5670 was automatically detected, and the drivers on the CD had been not required.

Operates with windows and linux. Windows install was really easy and the handle console handles overclocking. Linux driver downloaded from ATI operates for Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid). This card is not a high-end screamer, but it's a lot far better that the Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS that I upgraded from. Haven't identified any issues however with Windows. This card is at present as well new for right directx assistance under Wine within Linux. Even with manual registry tweaks, the driver beneath Wine runs but has color troubles and is particularly slow. Native Linux games appear and run wonderful (Doom 3 for instance). I've been developing computers for 20+ years. I thought the switch from Nvidia to ATI was going to bring about more difficulties that I truly skilled, particularly under Linux. I was pleasantly surprised with the finish outcome. I'd acquire this for other systems.

Rapid when it worked. After 1.five months the card would not sync. with my projector. Had to RMA and spend for shipping back to Sapphire. Replacement had the same problem out of the box. I replaced it with a 5450 and all is properly! Don't obtain this card!!! Because my HTPC system operates OK with a 5450 card that indicates no challenges with my method! I wil not continue to waste funds on returning this P.O.C to Sapphire. Newegg would not do anything for me given that I was past the return policy period.

For ๠ I'm not positive you can uncover a far better gpu proper now! No installation or compatibility issues. And a whopping 6.9 and 7.two WEI rating to boot! You also don't need a separate 6-Pin PCI power cable, so any individual with a slot can use this card. None Quite satisfied with this small factor. It runs cool and quiet and can play any game I throw at it in full HD.

I like'em. This is way way much better the ole 4650 and 4670's. I have bought two of these total and I'm buying a third for xfire for my son's create. Low power needs and single slot config. Most of all price tag/wattage to overall performance ratio. Doesn't brew me any beer? I know these in xfire will beat the pants off my 3870's in xfire and that's why I'm updating! I enjoy these in single card config for games like L4D2 at 8x antiA/filtering, smooth as butter, no lag and at 1680x1050. I want xfire for games like SC2 and WOW, because there are scenes that will lag this when there are hundreds of crafts moving on the screen in SC2 and when there are 25 player bashes in WOW. These are inexpensive and worth it! I don't play crysis, so I don't need the hype, these will do for all the latest games minus crysis. Will use these in an Antec 300 case operating 4 big fans and an amd 720BE on an amd 790Gx board (xfire 8x8) with dd2 2x2gigs and vista household 64bit. I want to upgrade the board with an am3 and ddr3 for christmas. The ddr2 and vista is holding it back some. My son doesn't want to go to win7 however.........????? Children! If I upgrade the board and ram, these will play anything xfired period.

None at the moment DOA out of the box. Worked fine via loading the drivers. As soon as it heated up soon after reboot and the fan turned on it sounded like a blender complete of ice cubes. Fan blades were beating on the heat sink. No visible way to adjust the fan/shroud to quit this. RMAed. Just negative workmanship. Hope the next 1 had a better QA inspector. Had to chuckle at the sticker on the box. "Cooled by Arctic Cooling" "COOL and SILENT" .. hrmmm ... NOT!

Great specs, and the card worked properly following some operate (see cons). Did a fresh set up of XP when I added the card. Employed the disk offered with the card and completed all Windows updates, but I nonetheless got errors like "can't initiate graphics engine" when playing older games on Gametap. Ultimately figured out that I was missing some DLLs for directx9. A google search on DirectX9 DLLs gave many choices. I utilized the downloads from Microsoft's website so I can verify that these work, but there are several other selections.

It plays dx11 ? games. I played the dx11 demos. And geewize. The game designers usually made produced their games run under run what the marketing ppls speak. All the Crysis worked on a item that didn't appear different from lowly users. This card in a Kuma 7750 machine will play crysis complete bore at 1024x768.....U want eye finity? Eye-Finity is a joke and no cards can run these dimension in actual time. Its about listening to newage misinformation. Newegg stopped my order for a ati 4850 card throughout their midnite database update...that card rules over this 5670 as does the any of the 48 series.....Hunting for a HDTV card? Don't obtain the lastest 3d card. An ati 9600xt can do HDTV. I game at 1024x768 and this card does that. The marketers are finding out about heat and these that want to watch only television and not passing on the final results except in high heat low quantity sub marketed gpus.I bought a zalman cooler for a fellow gamer whose gpu was at 80deg C....it brought it down to 54C,,,,,we shouldn't have to do that. This card is a no acquire in my book as it doesn't provide on the dx 11 promises and all the cards THAT Cost As a lot are less costly. DX11 iS a tech thing....absolutely nothing much more.

Opened the box, opened the desktop tower, unplugged my old x300 card, plugged in my new 5670, closed the tower, plugged in the hdmi cable to my 32" LG tv, turned on the computer, and watched my laptop boot completely. Got a blue screen of death when I tried to set the card to a greater speed, but that has much more to do with my old processor rather than the graphics card. I'm giving the card four eggs since I haven't been in a position to test it yet, but it runs nicely. I in particular like the simplicity of the sound by means of hdmi. Also, I'm running the card on a 350w energy provide (hence the purpose I haven't stressed the card but).
