The card seemed to function fine for the initially 3 weeks. Tends to make my system hang on start up for about 45 seconds and I hear buzzing sound coming from mobo or card itself. Just my luck the card starts going south as soon as I send off for the rebate and can't return to newegg. Look at other cards. sapphire assistance I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. In regards to the rebate you have to read the fine print and it will tell you after you receive the AM card you can contact a number on it to request a verify as an alternative.

The output of this card is much better than the other in this cost range is because it is both 128 bit AND 1GB ram. Good card for a Residence Theatre Computer to play moves on your bigscreen Tv - or upgrading your older Nvidia cards on a two monitor pc. I generally purchase Sapphirre these days since the cards are the most silent of the lot. As usual, the card performs really properly and I recommend any individual who buys this card to go on-line to AMD and get the latest drivers. I was NOT payinng focus to the characteristics of the card. The value for this card, first and foremost, is a steal. I was constructing my initially rig and I wanted to go small and inexpensive (Just in case I messed some thing up) and this card was so uncomplicated to get up and operating it was insane. ATI's site was user friendly as well! Catalyst Controls had been confusing for me at initially, but I figured it out. I purchased this card for a little kind aspect HP machine with a 240w power provide and a 3ghz Dual core Intel CPU. With 4gb of ram, single DVD burner, and this card you have a pretty decent small gaming machine for my children to use in my office. I reserve the correct to use my I7 but what they don't know won't hurt them. No additional will need for a 6pin energy cord. I have been a Nvidia guy for years as I worked for Intel. This card is exactly what I was searching for to run CODMW2 and similar games. I do not max the settings and it draws a solid 50fps. I do not use three monitors so this feature is wasted on this, my secondary program. Dual 26" monitors on my 4870 works excellent and is great adequate. I would not hesitate to run several screens with this card. Did I mention low energy? Amazing cost effective product for a more affordable technique!!! None so far immediately after 6 months. Operating off a 275W Power Supply-Low profile, it fit in my Dell Optiplex 745 SFF with significantly less than a cm to clear with the motherboard heat sink.-Didn't even require to use the other brackets included to get it to match in my laptop.-Shipping absolutely free and fast! None so far! Mostly watching films, photo editing and playing Napoleon Total War on my computer. I run on a 1900X1200 resolution and every thing runs smooth as a whistle. It's a fairly sweet rig, but the 5450 was the explanation my WEI score was five., specificially the section called 'Desktop functionality for Windows Aero'. Soon after installation of this little beastie and an update of the Radeon drivers, it bumped each of my WEI graphics scores up, but in unique, the five. went to a six.7. Quite good. It got a 3DMark Vantage score of 4203, which I mostly ran to assure the card was fully functional, but was shocked, as it was only a handful of hundred points decrease than a comparable rig I have with a 9600 GSO 384MB card. It would possibly do fairly effectively in a game like WoW or others that don't have intensive 3D needs.

Excellent card for my slim case. Plays the older games i like good/Max settings. Easy set up, runs cool. None. When i received it i thought no way this is gonna fit, even tho this is a tiny card/low profile. Then my thought became wrong, It fit excellent in my super slim case with no any issues. Would get once more without a doubt. All tho i haven't attempted out any newer games on it but, it seriously tends to make my 2005'ish games appear new.

This card is awesome! I know not to put a lot stock in benchmarks, but this card gets 22000 3dmarks in 3DMark03 (by comparison, my old 9700PRO (a monster at the time) pulled in about 7000). Also I fired up doom 3, and have been playing with every thing maxed/ultra. I haven't attempted any newer games but, but I am amazed with the overall performance I have got so far with a sub ์ video card. You have to set up the included low profile bracket your self, but that is seriously not even a con. Properly worth it for what you get. I bought this card to upgrade an HP Slimline s3407c. The low profile bracket was extremely effortless to switch in. I would recommend unscrewing the original bracket very first, then unplugging the VGA connector, and then screwing on the low-profile bracket. The VGA connector was too really hard for me to remove with the original bracket still in location.
