Rather effective, runs cool with fan speed at 21%, you can still right here the fan but that's only since my other fans are whisper quiet. I got this due to the fact the XFX 5770 I purchased earlier died on me, so I decided I would try a diverse corporation. The factor is enormous for a card in it's category. If the factor was a tiny fatter you could construct a residence out of these. It's roughly the size, weight and consistency of the average brick. I had to get rid of my tool less hard drive bay to match this in my old case but... I can't take off an egg for a difficulty I've solved. My old case had air circulation and heat troubles, on leading of that the graphics card drove me to the brink, so I sold my old case and got a HAF 922. Card fits great inside.

Crossfire functions great! Two of these cards actually do the job with incredibly demanding games of the higher end. Now the value is appropriate. This is a Sapphire 5830 Intense, Crossfire with final years model Sapphire 5830. Tiny distinct design and cooling but the chipset is the identical. So, game on! See you on the battlefield. NONE MB - Asus P7P55D PRO. I put the second card in and almost everything performs fine. Played BCBF2 for about 1 hour no difficulties, the facts are better now.

Low-cost card for the efficiency - Started showing a lot of artifacts immediately after 2 months of usage, with no overclocking- ATI drivers are buggy and significantly less stable than NVIDIA's- consumes a fair quantity of energy 鳯W)

-Operates great. I can run games like STALKER Get in touch with of Pripyat and Red Alert 3 with full Resolution, AA and DirectX 11 lighting no dilemma. Games such as Crysis and Fallout three run at complete settings smoothly as nicely, albeit with Anti-Aliasing turned down or switched off fully.-Quiet (for me, at least). Didn't boost the noise of my Pc noticeably.-Came with a totally free 16GB flash drive and a new sticker to place on my tower! How can you go wrong there? -It is a massive card. I had no dilemma fitting it into my case (I did have to take away 1 of these tiny metal plates in the back to make space for the second DVI port, and my case is very huge), but it could be a problem for those with smaller circumstances.-Instruction manual is totally worthless. I produced a stupid mistake when placing this issue in that I want to make sure no-one else makes. When hooking this point up to the power supply, make confident you have two power cables (preferable two cables currently built in to the power supply labeled "PCI-E" as is the case with my energy supply). Otherwise, you won't be powering the complete card. I say this all mainly because the instruction manual doesn't bother to. Plus, I read 1 of the 1-star reviews saying that the card arrived DOA and the fan was "screaming." It could be since only the outermost socket on the card was plugged into, as was the case with my failed initially attempt to get it operating. The fan screamed and I got no display signal due to the fact only one was plugged in. When I plugged each in, the display signal worked fine and the fan was Much quieter.

very good efficiency for cost, appears quiet, runs every little thing i throw at it maxed out and runs great with 500w energy supply. misleading instructions ( or maybe im just an idiot) just before you start the RMA course of action and complain about DOA's...recall that it wants to be plugged in! believed the instructions listed that only one particular x6 necessary plugged in.. Each need to have it. i lowered my tech understanding since apparently i dont know as much as i believed lol. RIP DMA

Runs all tests and games solid 30 fps and greater with 1920 x 1200 resolution, 2x AA, 16x AF, dx 9ቦቧ, motion blur on with supportive games, tessellation on with supportive games, advance shadows on with supportive games. Used CCC ten.6, no crashes or problems yet.Runs cooler, in my technique, than my buddies evga gtx 460 1gb that i borrowed for a couple of days to test not to mention i got this for 赧.99 + free shipping while he spent virtually 趐 right after shipping.Frame differences compared to my hd 5850 1gb reference were anyplace from 12 to 27 fps employing settings described above and no overclocking either card. So 赨 vs 跌-350 for 12-27 fps difference? I'd say that's not a bad deal. If you're a functionality nut that has to squeeze out every final frame that you can, hd 5850 is extremely excellent...but pricey with out breaking 跾 barrier. for 赨, practically nothing is wrong. I did attempt to overclock devoid of tweaking factory voltage but card artifact. Immediately after tweaking voltage, slight 75 mhz core / 200 mhz effective boost was stable making use of ati overdrive. Not poor, just tedious extra actions to do what you'd want it to do as an enthusiast. The card is 1-1.5 inches longer than my sapphire hd 5850 reference design. Measure your case just before think about getting. For these who are on a spending budget, this is a wonderful card. Each gtx 460 1gb and hd 5830 1gb are strong performers with low temps and power consumptions.Test system:Win 7 pro 64-bitCorsair 750w psuIntel Core two Quad Q9550 oc 3.42ghz 1600 mhz fsbAsus Arctic Square cpu coolerOCZ Freeze thermal compoundAsus P5QL Pro moboKingston HyperX 4gb DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 2T @ 2.2vSapphire HD 5830 1gbSapphire HD 5850 1gbEvga GTX 460 1gb(the last two under were tested as nicely just out of curiosity but outcomes weren't really great in comparison to the top rated three cards.)BFG GTS 250 1gbXFX 9800 GTX+ 1gbComponents installed in NZXT Zero two full tower, typical case temp is 35 C.

The card operates wonderful proper out of the box. In Isle of Conquest (WOW pvp battleground), frame price dropped only to 58 FPS as opposed down to 26 FPS with my old 4870. The card is a incredibly (underline and bold the quite) tight match in my Antec Sonata II case. Just like each and every other time I have attempted to set up the Catalyst Control Center, it crashed for the duration of install... Absolutely a difficulty involving Win XP 64 and .netfx . The drivers from catalyst 10.5 operate just fine, immediately after I upgraded the device by way of the device manager. Of course I can't tweak the card now.

Great card! Strong performer. Replaced my 4850x2 that was RMA'd (Artifacting) and its replacement was thrown away. The cost for the 5830 was a wee bit on the high side, on the other hand, anxiety level was @ so it paid off - ~ Plug in, load drivers, play - I like ~

Strong card for what its price tag presents. Fan is relatively quiet even below complete load it's barely audible. Third Sapphire card I've worked with and still dilemma cost-free. Card is enormous. If you've got a mid-tower case that has the hard drive cage mounted sideways (ports facing you), it's going to be a tight fit. Very best card at the moment that's in the 赨-趚 range. If you're searching for efficiency that won't break the bank then this would be the card to purchase. The option would be to get two 5770s and Crossfire those. Otherwise the 5850 is the next step up but that's ๖-๪ a lot more.Installed on ASUS P7P55D-E Pro in a Zalman GT900 case.

Still going strong, smokes moh, nfshp, get in touch with of duty Black ops, gtr evo, dirt two, unreal three, fairly much smokes them all with a lil ol Phenom II X3 550BE cpu and 4 gigs ddr3 I had a single con with the egg cuz they dropped the price ten bucks they day immediately after, then I wrote a overview stating that challenge, didnt even ask for the distinction in price and all of a sudden I get an e-mail stating that I will be credited for the difference!!! so that con is vanished, If you require a excellent video card and dont care about maxing crysis....acquire this card now, you wont regret it, its awesome. For men and women saying that the fan is loud, yes it is but its only going to get loud if you place it in a situation with undesirable airflow cuz in my cm storm sniper case with all fans at lowest it nonetheless hasnt spun up and doesnt get hot, the only cause I know it gets loud is I turned the fan to 100% in Ati CCC new egg rocks as usually

This card replaced a Sapphire 4830 512 card that was performing about 60,000 credits a day at Milkyway@home.Ideal now I am running around 180,000 a day with this card. Big card, could not match in some circumstances. I do game with it as effectively, but when I am not here it keeps itself busy crunching.

Very good quickly card.Runs every thing beautifully. It's massive CCC is a discomfort Could advantage from a 512bit interface. Also when I first got it I had some hardware difficulties with the card. Screen going green, displaying vertical lines, freezing up for no purpose. It also couldn't deal with windows aero and facebook chat at the exact same time.1 replacement later and we're all great. Got it back more quickly than my OCZ product also. Great showNow I'm back to makin income, and pwnin noobz

Decent specs for the $$. Sapphire has been very good to me in the past, with performance & reliability for an inexpensive price tag. Worthless if it doesn't perform. Lasted about 15 minutes, long adequate to configure new BIOS and the RAID array on my new system. Then started out putting in Win7 and the vid card went crazy on a reboot. No, it's not the driver either... fan went full speed & vid was fully blank even for the duration of BIOS, and one more vid card I had worked fine. Originally I ignored the undesirable critiques on the 5830's reliability, but there may possibly be one thing to it. Newegg did a fine job of issuing an RMA and waiving the restocking fee. I upgraded to an XFX 5850 with lifetime warranty. Figured if these chips are marginal I'd want the superior warranty. It's operating fine so far.

= ] I got this card due to my budget not allowing a 5850 or 70. I was kinda bummed that it was not going to hold its own. I WAS WAY OFF. I have this card set to max settings and turned up the overdrive to max just for enjoyable... I was blown away when it only reached 65C making use of GUI Tool with 100% load. I also use 3DMark and without having tweaks I get a rating of about 10K for video. If you want a card that is cost effective and makes you smile.... This is it! Its huge. I have a mid tower and I have to plug the energy wires in before I install it. *Make certain you have the space*

it functions... sort of (FPS are awesome) XD the card shows Massive artifacts EVERYWHERE, and the 3D models are *really* distorted, in *ALL* my games I am writing this even though writing for an RMA.... genuinely sucks I have to pay Additional funds (because of the return shipping) for a broken item then what men and women pay for a completely functional item, funny isn't it? This is my 1st RMA I've had to do... we will see how it goes. I build a lot of systems and this is my first ATI card, Ive never ever had this issue with Nvidia. hope ATI tends to make it appropriate, Since this is my first knowledge with ATI, and now i have a ũ,400 computer with no VGA card. I doubt i will ever buy from ATI yet again, Nvidia has all approaches been solid for me, and I'm just genuinely "upset" i have to spend A lot more money on this personal computer then i currently have

Fairly a powerful video card. Performance is all around far better when using Windows. It seems like ATI's Linux help is fairly poor. Resizing windows struggles with no the ATI kernel mods. When these are installed I have to make other alterations or I get a "Unsupported Hardware" watermark on my monitors. Once again, it can be resolved, but obtaining 2nd class assistance when operating Linux indicates I'll be acquiring NVidia chipsets from here on out.

The temperatures are low(were speaking 60 degrees Celsius under heavy load). Straightforward set up which makes it possible for you to control of fan and overclock devoid of getting to download additional software program. So far it has taken almost everything I have thrown at it in max settings 1920x1080(Assassins Creed two, Batman, WOW, and MW2.) This is a Extended card. Its not so undesirable on the width but the length is outrageous. Fortunately it just barely fit prior to operating into my challenging drive. Case: SIGMA LUNA. Does take up a lot of energy. If your a standard gamer like me this card will undoubtedly do the job properly and at a fair price.

This card was 279.00 dollars a year ago, currently I purchased my second for crossfire setting for 140.00 total at Newegg. Fantastic card, default fan runs at 21 percent increases to 44 percent when playing BF2. Temp gets up to 67C when playing, but if I turn the fan to 100% it by no means gets over 55C. Correct now its 10ᛆpm the space is cool, fan at 45% Temp is 28C. NO CONS This card is worth the funds, fantastic for games, video, and hdtv. With this single card I was obtaining 60fps playing Just Cause2. I will update after I install the second card in Crossfire mode. Crossfire mode will raise overall performance, but in only 1 out of eight test on a overview web page did it blow away a higher finish card. So it depends on what games i play. I truly like BF2 and Supreme Commander 2. Also play Metro 2033 with good graphics. This Card Is A Fantastic Spending budget Card to Acquire. Been waiting for Newegg to get it back in stock so I could put a second card in.
