Pros: The battery life is incredible.

This beautiful little Netbook, was hard to find. I had a list of "wanted" features, and this was the only model that had them all. Faster processor (N280), faster FSB speed (667MHz), fast memory (DDRII-667), LAN, WLAN, BT, HD audio, camera, larger HD (250GB), 3-USB's, HP/Mic jacks, DB15 VGA outlet, SD/MM reader, stereo speakers, dual Mic's, and the last, ABOVE 8 hours of battery up time.

Pros: Battery life = Amazing

What can I say.. if you can get this on sale.. it is very very good. I bought it for school and it gets the job done damn well. Don't expect to play any games on it, and HD videos will probably lag. But everything else should be good. Try to upgrade RAM to 2 gigs if you can. Over all 4.5 stars out of 5. Battery life is incredible. I love it.

Cons: I could not find one yet

Pros: Very robust productKeyboard is accesible and has enough space between keys Mouse pad very well designedVery nice design

I have payed a very decent price for this product and since then I use it on every ocasion. I even connect Remote to my desktop when I need to do something more CPU demanding. It is by far the best MINI on the market. Keys are spaced enough to let you use them properly, mouse is excelent and has no rims. A few remarks, on battery it hits up a lot and becomes noisy the cooler. Besides that it is the best product for the money.

Cons: Although this was expected; it won't play 720p & I have not found a game besides solotar or face book blitz that will play on this machine. These machines should come with 2GB of RAM.

Pros: Long battery Life. 2GB memory update, winXP pro upgrade makes a great VPN connection to work, all office apps work well.
Comment:
This netbook is great. I use it at work for taking notes or minutes & making updates to power piont presentations. Its fantastic for traveling I've used it at conventions and it'll go from 8am to 8pm, I don't turn it off just close the lid when I'm not typing. I even use it for some casual coding. I highly recomend this product if youe looking for a net book, but also pay for the 2GB memory upgrade.

Cons: Had an issue with the display. Fingerprint magnet.

Pros: Amazing battery life, portable, fast.
Comment:
Great netbook. It's portable, and runs fast. I added a RAM upgrade and it performs amazingly well. Battery life is great and I can get 10+ hours on it. Perfect for travel and simple tasks. Keyboard feels great and the touchpad is smooth as well. I use it for browsing, msn, and storing images when I travel. I did have a problem with the display. First one I got was DOA. 1/3 of the pixels were dead. RMA was quickly resolved and I got it replaced but it can happen so just be aware. It also does attract fingerprints like crazy but it's to be expected with this sort of finish. It's still very nice and that shouldn't deter you from buying this great netbook.

Cons: If you plan to use it outdoor, it's not for you because of the glossy screen

Pros: LONG battery duration Good quality assembling Very thin and light.

So far I only have good things to say about this laptop. I use it at school every day, and I never have to bring the plug even if I sometimes use it for more than 6 hours. It's the perfect laptop for someone who travels a lot, or for a student like me. The quality of the product is near perfect. The only small downside would be the glossy black finish where you can see every finger print. Exept for that, really nice job ASUS. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-07-09 01:08 PM

Cons: - Must clean frequently due to glossy cover and surface

Pros: - Nice and light- Looks beautiful- Performs all basic tasks (browser, word processing, etc...) very fast- Lots of extra features- Has the best battery life on the market (easily goes 9 hours, and you can push it to 10.5 hours)
Comment:
This netbook is a life saver. Being a student, I am able to carry it around to all my lectures everyday, and not have to worry about it running out of power. It's small form factor also lets me basically put it anywhere I want. Best laptop I've ever owned. As a side note, after I ordered off of NCIX, I had it in my hands in literally 2 days (I live in Toronto, NCIX ships from Vancouver). So that is amazing!

All in all, it's very good but not the best, it's very hard to choose for a good netbook, if you really need one then don't look farther, this is the one!

Cons: no cd/dvd drive of course, so get used to using your flash drive - not a major stumbling block

Pros: Awesome battery lifeFast enough at 1.66GHz

We are loving this machine. Bought for the little lady. It took her a little bit to get used to the keyboard and touchpad, but adjusted to it quite quickly. Wireless N works nice and fast, but on occassion locks up needing a reboot to get it's service restored (still debugging it). It' almost TOO HANDY - as you want to take it with you everywhere. It's a great deal at $449 - am now considering buying a second one for myself. This review was modfied by poster @ 11-09-09 01:25 PM

Cons: -glossy casing means it gets covered in fingerprints and dust very fast

Pros: -perfect size for portability-great screen-much faster than I expected for a notebook-exceptional battery life
Comment:
I bought the first generation of EEE PC's about 2 years ago and what can I say, this is HUGE step up from that old 701. I honestly wasn't expecting the netbook to be this fast or good looking but the wizards at Asus managed to work their pixie dust as usual and made the best netbook I've used to date. The battery life is phenomenal, I can turn it on in the morning and have it go all day and STILL have some residual battery left over in the evening. I also noticed low performance mode, which the netbook switches to when you switch to battery power, wasn't all that low performance at all - it was actually still faster than many if not most full sized notebooks I've used in the past. The keyboard is also appreciated with it's spacious design which by the looks of it is close to nearly full size. Overall there aren't enough positive things I can say about this netbook, but if you are in the market for one, this is the one to buy. This review was modfied by poster @ 09-09-09 05:45 PM

Cons: Reflection can sometimes be annoying. After the first 5 minutes it was full of fingerprints, but oh well, that's not really a negative is it?

Pros: -Looks good in black-Keyboard is easy to get used to-Great Battery life-Easy zoom in/out with touchpad
Comment:
A great, portable netbook. It can last a full day of school with still some battery life to spare. The touchpad zoom is also useful. This is a great netbook and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for one.

I got this netbook pricematched down to 465 with taxes and shipping and handling, and I have to say I'm very happy so far. It's nothing special in terms of computing strenght, but it does a good enough job for basc stuff. It can hold it's own for web browsing, and word processing and the usual stuff, but the integrated graphics are pretty weak. Where this thing excels is battery life. It just keeps going, and going, and going. You'll probably never hit the advertised 10.5 hours, but it does last very long. It's great to be able to take it to school everyday without the charger and know that it will make it home. All-in-all, a great purchase for me. It complements my more powerful desktop perfectly and does exactly what it need to!

Pros: Small notebook
Comment:
Its a good products. Small but not powerful enought. small make me easy to take it with me anytime. and save the power. but NO more game playing . Its not good when you connecting with a big LCD like 22" above. Hopefully ASUS can build in a better graphic card with it.

Cons: - sometimes difficult to use Home and End- screen pushes netbook up by a bit but nothing annoying- only 1 gb of RAM but enough for office tools

Pros: - light weight- battery lasts very long- small and easy to travel- comes with bag for netbook- clean piano finish- 92% keyboard size is good for typing- easy access to turn hardware on/off (fn + function keys)- has zoom-in/zoom-out features using mousepad- has SD expansion- does not get uncomfortably hot
Comment:
There are a lot of good things to say about the 1005 HA Premium. As listed in the strengths section, it's small, light ans lasts long. I personally believe that's the most important feature when it comes to an ultra-portable computer. There are very few weaknesses with this and they are extremely minor. Things like using home and end just takes time to get used to. Opening the screen does push the back of the netbook up slightly but since the back is the thickest part, it doesn't really make a big difference.I would totally recommend this to everyone.

Cons: Shows fingerprints on the gloss finish.

Pros: Easy ram upgrade thanks to a handy access door. Awesome touchpad, quiet, doesn't come full of bloat-ware. Incredible battery life from a small battery that is smoothly integrated with the chassis; no bulge sticking out the back!!!
Comment:
I did a ton of research on netbooks before settling on this one. I would have preferred one that had nvidia Ion, but everything else about this netbook is 5-stars. If you're going to buy one, buy this.

Pros: Battery life, easy memory expansion, N280 Atom, b/g/n wireless
Comment:
Nice machine, solid keyboard and chassis. Speakers (stereo) aren't as good as in 1008HA but because the 1005HA chassis has more space, I think it sounds more echo-muffled. However, it is still reasonably loud for a netbook. Long battery life and connectivity options make it a great system for casual surfing and document writing - or watching videos on a plane.

Cons: Still worse sound quality then my old Aspire One

Pros: SlimUnder 3 lbs10 hr battery life
Comment:
I have gone through enough netbooks to know what I want in one. Finally I think I have found my next long-term netbook (at least until I accidentally roll over it while biking). All I wanted from a netbook is a long battery life and light weight. Seems simple, but not really. My past experiences left me with anti-netbook-itis... either the battery life was very short or the netbook weight as much as a laptop. This seems to be mostly solved with the 1005HA premium.Battery test - After receiving the netbook today I charged it up immediately. I went on the road so I had a chance to test it out. Upon turning it on with only battery power, I was happy to note the battery life indicated a whopping 9.8 hrs left! But is this fantasy or reality?I tested it when I went out for 4 hours, I purposely left it on without any power standby. Of course it was not running any serious programs but it was still a fair assessment of the battery life accuracy. When I returned to the netbook I checked and it still had 4.5 hours left.. perfect!Anyways this netbook is great right out of the box.. no tweaking needed. Only downside is the sound is still crap, which is to be expected. So far, 5/5.
