Works beautifully for my eyefinity 3 monitor setup. No usb port or added power essential!Low cost! Don't get suckered into acquiring the high priced adapters. None that I know of. Could be a bit less expensive to teach the competitors a lesson. When I bought my three new Viewsonic LED monitors (no hdmi), I originally thought a a typical adapter would perform, but nope. I discovered an "active" adapter was required. Most solutions I found were really high priced, and applied a usb port to boot. Following reading the optimistic evaluations right here, I took a leap of faith with this bad boy, and lo and behold, it worked as advertised. No drivers or anything required. Operates like a champ, and I can tell no difference in between the monitor hooked up on this, and the other individuals employing the dvi cables. Colors and everything match beautifully, with no tweaking on my element.Thank you, Sapphire! Excellent product!

Works with my Radeon HD 6870, I now have 3 24" monitors running at 1920x1080 resolution (max res for monitors). None. After receiving this I realized that the Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 card requires a miniport adapter but luckily (for me) the Sapphire card ships with this adapter. So I start out with my VIDEO CARD and use a "mini-display port to display port" adapter, and then plug in this "active display port to DVI" adapter, and it worked! I'm ordering the "POWERCOLOR Video Adapter ACTIVE MDP TO SL DVI-D ADAPTER-C Mini DisplayPort to DVI Interface" (also on newegg) to see if I can go straight from "mini-display port to DVI" and get rid of the MDP to DP adapter.

Performs perfectly in an eyefinity setup with a XFX Radeon 5670 1GB card.Costs at least 贄 much less than an active adapter.Eyefinity appears awesome, even my technological challanged wife thought it looked cool. None I can consider of. Only functions up to a specific resolution, I am running 3 23" ASUS monitors at 1920 x 1080 so it doesn't seriously apply to me at this time. This adapter handles that no difficulty as well as the eyefinity setup of 5760 x 1080.If you are unsure or nervous about this obtain for an eyefinity setup, don't be. Just do it, you will under no circumstances go back to anything less than a 3 monitor setup ever once again.

- Cost - It didn't do what I believed it was advertised to do (?) Admittedly, I am ignorant of how to setup Eyefinity. I believed I read all that I could, and covered all the bases ahead of making a acquire. I bought 3 identical monitors, and this cable.I installed the most current Catalyst drivers. I hooked them all up with DVI cables to my XFX 5850, and the two monitors that are plugged in to the DVI ports function fine. Not surprisingly, the one attached to the adapter isn't even recognized.Perhaps I'm missing one thing clear. Maybe there's a DUAL-Hyperlink DVI cable that I require (maybe the ones bundled with my monitors are SINGLE-Hyperlink cables?)I really feel dumb for just not listening to what every person said to do, and get an adapter with the supplemental USB power that converts DisplayPort to DUAL-Link DVI. I consider Dell tends to make the a single that is most frequently used.I personally feel a bit mislead by this product. It even says "ATI Eyefinity" on the box. I have a ticket in to Sapphire hoping for some resolve, but my next step is to RMA and switch to the

I have a XFX 5770 HD card and wanted to run a 3 monitor set up but couldn't discover an active displayport below 80 till I located this little gem. Soon after reading the reviews I bought it and have all 3 monitors now running. No resolution concerns, no resizing. It automatically sensed the displayport and connected the third monitor with no me possessing to inform it to. no genuine cons though it would have been good if it had been an hdmi one but I'm content to come across one particular under 30! Discovered this correct following I got yet another lcd to replace my tiny 15in. Now I'm working with that and my new a single! I'm extremely satisfied with this!

none I had the 1st one particular replaced trigger it didn't perform for eyefinity, then I got the replacement in and it nevertheless didn't function so i've deemed it as a useless cable, i went ahead and bought the the accell active adapter sure i blew 115$ on a active adapter but i lost 40$ from getting this cable and obtaining to return it for restocking fee and shipping charge. The worst element is I was attempting it on a Sapphire card and their own cable didn't even detect my monitor. I don't blame newegg, I blame sapphire for this garbage only purpose I even tried it was since of the raved reviews and the price.

Just performs effectively as described. I'm not performing anything with it beyond driving a second display employing onboard video Ƒ DVI port and 1 DisplayPort) so I can't comment on its use in far more complicated configurations. Neither of my existing LCD panels has a DisplayPort port, so this has turned out to be a good, fairly economical option. None so far. I've utilized a number of Sapphire items more than the years and don't recall ever possessing an challenge with any of them. Newegg shipped very same day and it arrived here in central California the subsequent day by means of "standard" shipping.

It is functioning. I was going to nfinity 3 monitor setup, two monitors + my Tv positioned about 13 feet from my computer. I initially hooked up a 15 foot DVI -> HDMI cable into this adapter to get the signal to my Television. This wouldn't completely perform simply because I was finding a message that the signal is also weak and I couldn't get the complete 1920X1080 resolution. So what I had to do was hook up 1 of my monitors to this adapter through a brief DVI cable and hook the DVI->HDMI 15 foot cable straight into one particular of my DVI ports. Every little thing worked fine then. This is why I took 1 egg away. I am blaming the inconvenience on the adapter.

Permits a third show to be attached to my 5870. Eyefinity recognizes it and will enable easily. DVI only. No DVI to VGA adapters permitted. Was a tiny hesitant when I bought this soon after reading other testimonials. My desktop resolution is now 5760 x 1080. Eyefinity was effortless to set up. This has a show port connector on it, not a mini, so it did require a display port to mini show port adapter which was supplied with my Eyefinity Radeon HD 5870. Rather surprised as to how simple it was to connect a third show to my card and allow Eyefinity.

Compact, economical compared to the supplemental USB rail powered units. This cable just plugs into the DP receptacle and converts to DVI. I bought a 6850 along with this from 'egg. This was fairly significantly a plug and play no brainer. I really feel undesirable for all the gamers who had to struggle with Eyefinity more than the previous year, but this, along with the new card was a snap. Can't assume of anything. Just don't try to go from this to a DVI-to-VGA adapter - that won't perform as I think there is no analog signal to be had. Plus I attempted it and it didn't perform. Been gaming pretty really hard for a month and not had a single instance of not recognizing the hardware, flickering, and so on. Appears like this cable will be sturdy for the extended haul.I assume Eyefinity, based on my personal enjoyment, will be a lengthy-term feature that AMD should continue to help. I've gone back and re-played HL2 series and enjoyed it even much more, as properly as enjoying the panoramic views in some new games. There are some cards that feature what this cable does "built in", but I'd rather have the cable so I can upgrade the card with out worrying about the displayport limitation.

Permitted me to go to a 3-monitor setup on my ATI 5770 card. I'm now operating games in 4320x900 and loving just about every second of it.Considerably less expensive than other adapters, and was plug & play. Haven't had to think about it given that the install. Working with this with a DVI-to-VGA adapter will not perform. I had to use a use a DVI cable to get my Pc to recognize the 3rd monitor. This is not a knock on the adapter, just an FYI for folks that could possibly try to save a couple bucks by employing a VGA cable and mistakenly believe the adapter isn't working.

Functions fantastic, has been operating devoid of problem for the final day. Employing it for a monitor with resolution 1680x1050 Does not work if DVI-VGA adapter is used. On my card I had to also use my Mini-Display Port to Display Port adapter (one from XFX that came with my card) This causes no difficulties. Lastly best bang for your buck adapter.

Works excellent. Had to install for a VIP user at work to a DVI-I VTC unit, excellent image with no setup problem Does not send an analog signal, but from what I hear that is normal. If you want that buy the Displayport to VGA adapter. i installedc this on a persons laptop that if it fails, I get fired. So far it has not let me down.
