Arrived with a dead network card, called and got a case number, Your company sent a new card (no charge), taking up one of the two slots, but it works fine now.

This motherboard is garbage. With the most current BIOS I'm still having the notorious video problems. DIMM 1 also corrupts any memory stick that's put into it. So far three different RAM sticks tested when purchased have all ended up corrupted. Do not buy this board no matter how much the cheap cost seems worthwhile!

Upgraded to this board for the sli capabilities. Sli system was easy to set up and worked flawlessly. Sata ports or at a a 90 degree angle which makes it possible to use the larger video cards (which was a problem with some other motherboards I tried.). Overall pretty happy with this. 2 problems though. The extra fan powers are 3 pin connections, so even though the bios say the fans can be adjusted, they can not. I ended up using a case fan adjustment to get around this. Also, when I tried using the 9550 quad processor, it would not work, even after I upgraded the bios from the company website. Works well with my 6600 quad.

Mine works with a Dual Core processor. Plugged it in and it works fine. Extras on the motherboard make it nice like a POST code readout, CMOS reset button and power up and power reset buttons right on the board. I may stick with EVGA for future boards.

This motherboard is a decent buy, If you have a LGA775 i would recommend this board or the XFX one. The reason i bought this motherboard is my MSI one fried when trying to replace the Heatsink. However even though this is a good mother board. Since this is the era of the I7, i would not get this motherboard again. I would get the X58 from Evga. If your looking for a good replacement, then this is a good board. If you looking to upgrade from your current. Then its not a good buy. Go I7 or even Phenom

To use the latest generation quad-core processors you have to do a BIOS update, which is impossible without a processor that is compatible. I repeat, ALL DOCUMENTATION ON THIS MOTHERBOARD SAYS IT'S COMPATIBLE WITH LATEST GEN QUAD-CORE CPUS, NOT TRUE OUT OF THE BOX. EVGA is rather unhelpful and will charge you to ship a new one out, unless you send this one in first. I run a computer business and am pulling all affiliation and backing of eVGA products. Customer service was horrible.

I purchased this to replace my dead 650i mobo. I installed my Intel Q6600 cpu, 2 ghz of Corsair mem and a new 9800 GTX card. My system fired right up and I didn't even have to reinstall XP. Very good deal for those who wish to do a similar upgrade or replacement.

I downgraded from the 780i FTW board to this guy after I killed the 780, and it works fine for it's intended purpose. Yeah it could have more USB ports and another ethernet but that is a natural part of downgrading. I haven't experienced anything that I did not expect. It suits my needs well.

Well I am a avid EVGA fan and supporter, but this product falls short by a landfall. First off the bios is a pain in the rear to upgrade. You must upgrade it for it to use the latest gen processors. I had to RMA one of these due to other issues...got the replacement board and one of the memory slots on the board is defective so I now have to do another RMA.

I've had this board for about 5 months now with absolutely no problems. I use the Core 2 Quad Q9550 processor. I noticed some other reviewers complaining about this combo. When I first powered up my system the bios only found one of the four processors but moments later it sorted itself out and has worked well since. I've given the board a 4 on features since it lacks firewire and there are other similarly priced 750i boards that have this feature. Also, you may have noticed this from the photos but six of the boards eight USB ports are on the back (not 4, as stated in the specs).

I got this board, even though I had to get it replaced as stated in other reviews because it wouldn't boot windows & was deemed defective, but once I got a new one, I then maxxed this baby out with 8 gigs of memory, used my old duo core 3.0 processor, added a 1.5TB sata segate hard drive along with my current 500GB SATA & viloa! It's up & running just fine.

I had no problem installing anything to it. Mind you, the hd and dvd rom are sata, not ide. I have a Azza Orion 201 BLACK/SILVER ATX Mid Tower Case, which gave me room to install the mobo. Remember, a good case does help with lots of room inside. I like this mobo lots. I like the idea that you can put a quad or dual cpu in it.

Like a couple of these other reviews say. a Intel Quad 2 Core Q9550 DOES NOT WORK!!!! I have to send my board in for a RMA to get updated Bios for the board because I'm not able to flash new bios onto the board. I spend 19$ for shipping and its going to take around 2 weeks for me to get my new updated board. Just do not get this board if you plan on getting a Q9550 CPU... Its not worth the aggrevation and extra time and money you will spend monkeying around with the computer.

Cons: ide slot too close to the first pci express slot

Pros: Very good design, except maybe the ide slot
Comment:
the ide slot isnt that bad, but if you have a long video card (like msi gtx 260) and you forgot to install the ide cable, you will have to remove that video card to install it.Other than that, people were saying that it didnt support q8200 right away, but it does, no need to upgrade bios anymore.I'm very satisfy so far.

if you get the quad core combo make sure you have an old dual core lying around or access to one for a little bit. the motherboard doesnt come with the bios that supports the quad core and i happened to have a dual core cpu lying around that fit. all you have to do is update the bios and your good to go.

While I wasn't thrilled with the fact it doesn't support Q9550's, it's probably my fault for not doing the research. So far no problems at all. If you do plan on going for the 9550 get the FTW edition, not sure about the extreme.

Bought this motherboard with the Quad2 Q8400 bundle, installed everything and recieved a 4E error. Contacted EVGA, and they said it has the older version of bios and without another processor to flash it to the new bios, I had to do an RMA at my expense to recieve a new one with the latest bios. EVGA, then sent me another motherboard with the same issue, so now I'm doing yet another RMA.

This board looked like a great board. It was packaged it with an Intel Quad Core 9400... great buy! However when I tried to do the 1st boot, I got an E4 error. EVGA website indicated it is QC ready, but others had problems too. EVGA suggested installing a dual core and flashing the BIOS. I didn't have one, so I'd have to send my new board to EVGA at my expense. I contacted this retailer and as always they came through for me. We first tried swapping the QC processor with an 8400 (4mb caches instead of 6mb). When this processor also did not work, This retailer went the extra mile to swap out my mobo to an ASUS. This worked perfect. I think the EVGA 750i had some nice features and maybe someone who has some spare parts hanging around could have gotten it going. Personally, I'm thrilled with my ASUS so far and very thankful to this retailer for their great customer service!!!!!
