Moves a LOT of air.Cooled my system by about 12 degrees. The only challenge I had in my case was the graphics cards. They had been running a small warmer than I wanted, nicely, until I got this fan. Harmful.Be careful and treat this fan with the identical respect you would a samurai sword-each serve their purpose but if used the wrong way can deliver discomfort(bad comparison-but You get the point.Packaging was dookey to say the least.Quite loud.Drowns out the sound of anything. So loud,I have to yell to speak to my girl pal. You will want a high wattage /per channel fan controller. This issue requires a couple seconds to get rolling SO DO NOT INITIALLY CRANK THE FAN CONTROLLER UP ALL THE WAY.I identified out the challenging way even right after I study all the critiques.I figured I could turn the controller up a third of the way-uh uh-it virtually destroyed my fan controller(ย.99 Scythe fan controller).Make positive you obtain a fan controller that can handle at least 20w/channel but to use this beast you need to have a fan controller thats rated at 45w/channel or greater. It will cost you about 35 -50 dollars but in the finish it is worth it.This guy is a comprehensive technique cooler

PLEASE BE Aware!!!! THIS FAN IS AS LOUD AS A HAIR DRYER !!!! NO JOKE. THIS FAN CAN MOVE SOME Serious AIR. NONE I HAVE THE FAN ON A two POSITION SWITCH Amongst 12 VOLT AND 5 VOLT. IT MOVES AS Substantially AIR ON five VOLT AS A 12 VOLT SCYTH FAN one hundred+ CFM. IT SPOOLS KINDA WEIRD. IT WONT SPOOL Very Quickly ON Begin. Far more OF A SLOW RISE IN SPEED. IF I SWITCH TO five VOLTS THE FAN WILL COMPLETLY Quit AND RESTART WITH A SLOW SPEED. ITS LIKE ITS SPOOL UP IS MICROPROCERROR CONTROLED. Extremely Good FAN ...

Dropped my challenging disk operating temperatures by 20 F !There are ten disks in the rack on my media server and this fan seriously moves the air. The server is in the basement in the furnace area - I can nonetheless hear the fan on the top floor at the other finish of the developing ! Dropped the final egg for the extraordinary noise. When other reviewers mentioned it was nosey - I didn't consider this noisey !! Nevertheless if it keeps my disks cool I will have to understand to reside with it. Wish there was something in between this power and a standard fan that was slightly quieter !

I am writing this overview just to note that this is a fantastic, incredibly strong, and very noisy fan (when run at full speed). Nonetheless buyers really should be fully conscious that this draws more than 4amps of energy (which exceeds the maximum amps FOR ALL MOTHERBOARD FAN Power PLUGS for most motherboard as typical case fans typically draw in between say .29 and .39amps every, with higher preformance 80cfm's pulling I would guess an typical of .48amps each and every. Most motherboards have a max amp for ALL onboard fan plugs and this single fan exceeds the limit for most motherboards. Furthermore it exceeds the amp limits of many ELECTRONIC FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS. Bottom line this draws enough amps to bring about main problems unless directly connected to PSU and a fan handle rated for four.8amps is employed. Sounds like a jet turbine at 100% energyIF PLUGGED Directly INTO MOST MOTHERBOARDS AND ELECTRONIC FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS significant problems will most likely occur. FAR TO Many AMPS TO PLUG Straight INTO MOST ANY MOTHERBOARD If plugged directly into an onboard fan 3 or four pin motheboard connecter , Instead OF TO YOUR PSU, AT Over four AMPS IT EXCEEDS THE AM I know repetitive: Be conscious of AMPS. This is a quite exceptional fan and can burn out components in an instant.

Moves alot of air out,and rapid.I ordered five of these for my ABS Tigas.3 intake and 2 exhaust. The heat can barely create up in the case.Keeps all parts cool Would be great to have filters with this drive.Result in at these speeds and airflow its like a vacuum and it will get messy soon on your case. Men and women need to read the "Specifications" before rating a product. It clearly states the Airflow and DB(Sound Levels).Know what you are getting prior to you buy it and rate it negatively.Yes it is loud. But is CLEARLY states that it is.No issue operating all of these at full load and keeping them 15F-20F decrease then stock fans.10x hdd's in RAID62x 480 fermi3ware raidcard+BBU

Ok I read alot of reviews and they all said its loud, effectively they were proper. When U read them your like It cant be that LOUD can it? It is, Its LOUD LOUD LOUD. If you turn it on and ur case is open your ears could ring. But the Fan does Exactly What it says, it Moves MONSTER AIR. I use a Sunbeam RHK-EX-SV Rheobus-Extreme Fan Controller and it works just fine to sustain a Great Noise to Air Ratio. LOUD, thats it. If you want the best Air cooled then buy this, Just genuinely dont forget the Fan Controller. I'm Serious.

Adequate air flow to cool a pc practically on its own, I believed it was going to lift off into the air, This Fan is Epic,,, No Protection Grill = Bad when and if a finger accidentaly gets in the fan, don't joke your self it will cut the finger right off, and if it doesn't your finger will hurt for a couple of days. I am afraid of this Fan, show it significantly respect when handling,,, I read a single guys critique about EMI/RFI interferring, I plan to run and EMF/RFI meter by this beast although running tonight and will post readings later,,,

If your laptop or computer is running hot, this will retain it cool. This will most probably retain it cool all by itself, not including the vga/cpu fans. Read the other evaluations ahead of you obtain this. I am an electrician and the fans that I set up in most bathrooms are about ten"x10" and run at 80-110 CFMs... this little 12x12cm fan is just about double that. If employed as an exhaust it could rotate the air in your case 100times every minute at max speed. If you hate the sound of a hair dryer, you will definitely hate this fan. It was a bit as well large for me to spot it in any of my fan spaces, so I placed it inside my case just to get an concept of how loud it was. I could not hear my Tv that was around 30 db and was no much more than 4 feet from me. At the moment cutting a space in the side of my case for it and installing a fan controller to cut the noise back. Supposedly it is an outstanding fan when employed with a controller. Just don't be silly and get a cheap controller than can't deal with the 40+ watts or it will fry your controller. YOU WILL Will need A CONTROLLER THAT CAN Deal with AT LEAST 50watts per channel. YOU WILL Want A CONTROLLER THAT CAN Manage AT LEAST 50watts per channel. If you are purchasing this amazing powerful fan without a controller, I hope your box is running in a separate space.

Extremely effectively make, sturdy, moves alot of air.Absolutely nothing incorrect with it. Extremely loud. I nevertheless gave this a 5 egg rating due to the fact at 252CFM, you must currently recognize that it's going to be loud. So dont acquire this if you cant stand the noise. Will not operate with a fan controller due to the 3ǚpin TAC combination that this fan makes use of for power. Will only show rpm readout utilizing the 3pin connector, does not enable you to alter the voltage or rpm. Will be switching to a unique 1st Pc Corp fan, also with high rpm, cfm, and, sadly, dba, but only because it enables you to manage it. Will save this fan for a various technique. Fragbox maybe?

Moves alot of air. Throws out so substantially EMI/RFI it prevented my server from booting. Corrupted information on drives and other miscellaneous errors. I'm not saying that this happens to everyone but the fan that I got was awesome... for about 1 week. Soon after that I started finding random hardware failures reboots ect. I couldn't figure it out till nowadays. I moved all of my hardware to a new situation and nevertheless had the issues. Removed this fan and replaced with a lesser fan and magically every little thing is now fine. I'm not saying all of them will be like this. Just be aware of it if the issues start out cropping up for you as well. I lost 80GB of sharepoint data since of this fan. Backups and almost everything were corrupted.

Hooked two of these poor boys up to my swiftech radiator inside my case so I could have much more cooling power. WOW!! These issues dropped my water cooling temp an additional 5-10 degrees C. Overclocked my computer an extra 300Mhz proper after installing them, and the temp is still holding at 5-10 degrees C reduce, currently 33-36 for all 4 cores and my GPU is 39. I'll push it further later but had to let absolutely everyone know these fans are incredible. FREAKIN LOUD!!! Hope you have some way of covering your personal computer. My next mod is figuring out how to dampin the sound. Might require a case with foam around my case, lol. May try and hook these up to the residence for circulation, fantastic lord they are loud! But I knew that prior to finding them.

The air flow feels like placing your head out the window at 50 miles an hour! While operating intel burn test and CPU-z and working with this fan to cool my radiator for liquid cooling my I7 920, The temp Graph showed a continuous drop in temp. Loud. You will want a fan Speed controller... BUT many fan speed controllers will not be in a position to handle the current draw (you will burn out the resistor in the controller) Good for a shock and awe of cooling your computer.... it will anger these about you, Particularly at a LAN party

It moves a TON of air. EXCEEDINGLY loud. NOT for residential or household use! It's as loud as a shop vac just to give you an thought. Unless you want your property or apartment to sound like that when the personal computer is on, forget about it, and for me my laptop or computer is on 24 hours a day, so this fan is out of the question. In my apartment, with my doors closed, I went down the hallway and it sounded like I had the shop vac on. Not fantastic if you want to turn on your Pc late at evening. These must be produced for server rooms where noise is not an issue. Surely not some thing you want if your computer is anyplace but a devoted server room.

You could use this thing as a leaf blower! I'm not kidding. If you will need to move huge amounts of air and aren't concerned about noise levels, this fan exceeds expectations. Operating voltage is listed as 8v to 13.2v - not positive if running it @ 5v (as indicated by a different reviewer) would cause any problems (premature failure, perhaps?) None, as long as you don't apply power to the fan w/out securing it somehow.

With this fan installed on the window vent of my antec twelve hundred situation pushing air right down into the two video cards and hitting the motherboard, wow. My video cards use to run around 43 degrees celcius, now with this fan cranking down on them the video cards temps are down 10 to 33 degrees celcius. The installation of this 1 fan has made a really serious impact on my systems temperatures across the board. With the excellent there are always some poor elements to element in. I knew about these negatives before I purchased this fan, I just want to bring these unfavorable properties to everyones attention so they understand them ahead of they obtain one or two.1.) This fan is so loud, you can't even hear yourself believe. This fan screams at a whopping 67 decibelstwo.) 12V DC @ four.80A, that's some key existing draw so be positive you have a mighty aweful potent energy supply. Now that cold weather is knocking on the door and all the windows are closed, I have uninstalled this fan until the finish of heating season. With heating season upon us with all my neighbors in my apartment developing, I don't need to have the hassle this fan will bring. With the fan being so loud, and me wanting to be able to hear my games over the sound of the fan, yeah, neighbors would absolutely get upset. One particular factor though, this fan is great.

Pushes an amazing quantity of air, its challenging to even bring it into point of view. From two feet away it was pushing a screwdriver about my desk. The fan appears incredibly nicely put with each other and sturdy. Comes with a 3 pin connector and the Molex(think thats what its referred to as) connector. I use it as an exhaust fan and it sucks like 90% of all the hot air in the case out the back. it is incredibly extremely loud. at first I didn't feel it was that loud then right after a game of battlefield poor company 2 my ears began ringing a tiny bit. Also it needed alot of power so make confident your PS can handle it. I can't use mine till I get a new one due to the fact it will reduce out right after like 30minutes. A single of the most awesome fans I have ever observed.

Wakes the neighbors. Can hover practically an inch over flat surfaces due to the shear force of its air-output. Created my tough drive rack appear like a jet engine. Wakes the neighbors. Is liable to take your fingers off if you're not cautious. Does not come with blood red lighting and does not emit insane laughter from time to time. So I place this fella in my situation, remembering all the reviews about it as I am about to turn my Computer on. *ON* "Well," I consider to myself "this isn't all that undesirable, it is surely no leaf blo...wow...oh dear...is this safe for my Pc, to have this point in the situation? IS IT Safe FOR ME TO BE IN THE Same Area WITH THIS Point?" I then proceeded to take this fan out of my case, strung a cable out, and turned the fan on and off to see just how swift its liftoffs and how soft its landings were, all the although laughing to myself.Be warned, the fan is really wide so it might not fit on the front of your case with no perform. I had to to do significant reworking of my tower to have it fit snugly in the front.

-Moves a TON of air. If you are even hunting at this fan you really should know what you are getting into with the sound levels it creates. If you purchase this thinking it will be quiet you are wrong, it is a loud beast of a fan, but that is what it is advertised as and would not take away an egg for being loud simply because it is advertised with the decibel's that it tends to make. It is loud. Not actually a con, taking into consideration it says the decibel rating, but I figured I would put anything here. Your office getting to hot? just plug this child in and point it at you. The hurricane force winds will cool you down in no time. But seriously, this point will actually move the air about in the whole space if you have 1 set up as an exhaust fan on a case.

Created my wife's eyes tear up when I pointed the fan at her though it was hooked up to my computer system but just before I mounted it in there. No joke. I could post a picture of her hair streaked back as if she was in a convertable but newegg wouldn't let me, (and neither would my wife). Fantastic fan for the enthusiast, for the server builds that run really hot. And excellent fan to put in a gaming program you strategy on promoting, but make certain you hook it up to a switch so they can shut it off. But as far as promoting, to a newcomer it provides the 'WOW' element. Requires to significantly power to run off any normal three pin fan controller, even if its powered with a molex plug simply because of the resistors that dumb down the amps from a regular four pin molex connection, and the fact fan controllers devide that amongst 4 or more outputs. I had it hooked up to my fan controller that I've utilized for about two months now and it only started out at half of its capable RPM'S, whats worse is as I smelt the resistors being overloaded (within the first minute of it being hooked up), the fan went from half RPM (approx 2600) to coming to much less than 1000. I turned the computer off as any far more and I could have fried my fan controller. If you program on hooking this thing up, count on to hook it up straight to its personal four pin molex connector. It does have the potential to power up from a 3 pin fan connection, but any typical 3 pin connection doesn't have the amps/watts required to sustain this fan and could even cause damage to your other hardware. Scythe makes a exact same demention "ULTRA KAZE" fan that caps at 3000 rpms that moves 130cfm with half the noise, thats the way to go. And I was in a position to power 3 of kind of fans at max speed with my fan controller with out any strain on it. Note: It doesn't show it in the picture, but this fan comes with 3 plugs. A normal 3 pinǙ wire power connector, 4 pin/molex connector, and 3 pinǗ wire connector to hook to your motherboard to keep track of it's RPM's and so onNote: If you strategy on employing this as an intake fan, acquire a roswell filter, they are high top quality and are needed as your laptop or computer converts into a vacuum it will suck all the dust inNote: Accurately put "Loud as a Vacuum"

Tons of air, high air pressure inside case = lower temps. 252cfm this thing genuinely pushes the air. Can very easily cool my complete full tower case with a single of these. I did a case mod and added it in my open drive bays takes up 3 bays and when my front door is open this thing is like a turbine blew out all the dust sitting on my 120 exhuast fans it was funny. Extremely loud, sounds just like a blow dryer in your case, i thought with it being inside the case and every little thing closed up it would be much less loud, but nope.. its nonetheless loud. But if you dont mind the noise.. this factor rocks. Not certain if you can use this on a controller or not. That will be my subsequent step to try to do.. if you can manage the rpms of this fan for when you need to have it.. it would be 120% wonderful. Till then ill just shut down the laptop or computer when idle.
