sophisticated design and style brief usb cable & 1.2mbps upload requirement for HD resolution Here is what I found soon after calling to Facevsion's buyer service: If your upload speed is below 1mbps, it performs as 640x480 NOT HD ! U-verse upload 1 mbps; Road Runner Turbo 512kbps. So it can by no means function HD with them! They do not advertise this truth! |

Sophisticated design. USB cable is too short.Can't go greater than 640x480. No 720P HD resolution. I not too long ago bought a FV Touchcam N1 and I'm working with most up-to-date Skype version 4.two..187. I have U-verse with 900 kbps upload ቨ mbps download speed and Windows 7. N1 seems as "USB video device" in device manager and driver version is Microsoft Ǜ.1.2600.5512. Other side off the call also has the exact same setup. My video call resolution is 640X480. How am I gonna be capable to switch to 720P, H.264, 22fps!I am not delighted! |

Operates as advertised if your connection is quickly sufficient. Please see other thoughts. This product is geared towards corporate video conferencing on network that has a 1gige backbone. Should have a wonderful connection on both ends to get full HD. This might hinder several customers out there so please check what is offered. To everyone out there complaining about upload speeds from Time Warner and Uverse. Please be responsible and check your speed ahead of buyng a HD network anything. I have had each and in most core markets, you will see 512 kbps to 1.5 mbps uploads with most services. I have 3 words for you - FIOS and SIGNATURE House. Verizon FIOS upload speeds are 25 mbps and 50 mbps. I personally have the new SIGNTATURE Household product from Time Warner. The Television sucks but the net is 50 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up confirmed. I have no problems talking to my parents who use the FIOS product in Silver Springs, MD from my Signature Home connection in Charlotte, NC. BTW - UVERSE speeds will be moving up 40 down and 10 up from what i have heard from technicians in most markets. ALL of these new systems have the potential to manage total of 250 up and down among all components on the service (internet, tv and Telephone). |

This is an amazing webcam. It does not need a cd or any computer software to use. Most other camera's call for software to use all their capabilities. What makes this one my favourite is that it will plug and play on both macs and computer's. Also, this camera dominates because it does not use your processor to energy itself, in contrast to practically just about every other camera. It has it's personal built in hardware that handles video. The mic is amazing, and the sensor operates effectively in practically any light situations. This is also one of the couple of webcams that is Skype certified. It's high-priced. Virtually not possible to uncover in retailers. Somewhat large compared to other webcams. This is the only webcam you should get if you want hi def and you're pc isn't specifically the more quickly about. Other camera's will slow down your computer system quite poor when doing 720p. |

Truly great image quality. Good searching item. The testimonials about HD incapability is definitely proper. I have RoadRunner from TimeWarnerCable which only provides 512kbps upload speed. Unfortunately this speed is NOT sufficient for HD video conference. Don't buy this if you'r looking for HD video resolution. USB cable is also short. |

Impressive video resolution; Wide angle lens captures every person / everything in room; No software / drivers to load; Can simply use with any pc without the need of getting to set up drivers. I absolutly appreciate this camera. Folds to a tiny footprint to take if you travel. None that I have discovered. If you want a camera that comes with extra application for video capturing or editing, this is not for you. I upgraded from a Hercules Glass 1.2 camera so this was a huge jump in technology. I am running Windows XP and it works flawlessly with Skype. Some would say that it is pricey for a camera that does not come with any extra video application. I currently have photo and video editing / capture software on my machine so it is not a thing I purchased the camera for. If you are looking for an straightforward to install (plug and play) camera that is little enough to take with you when you travel and want exceptional sound and video overall performance, this is the camera for you. |

The quality on this camera was good. The auto-concentrate feature operates nicely and it adjusts well to distinct lighting. No additional drivers had been needed - plugged it into Window 7 64 bit with no problems. Didn't come with a stand, but the swiveling mini-stand can sit on prime of a monitor or desk just fine. Would be nice if it had some wall mounting brackets or other possibilities. |

It functions with linux two.6.38 using vlc and v4l2; you can adjust focus and exposure from vlc or set to auto. Slick! It doesn't send h.264 so consumes additional than half of your usb two. bandwidth with YUV. I didn't actually try to get h.264 to work so maybe there is a way. With an active USB extension/repeater you can really take some nice wildlife shots from far away (I have an 85 foot cable). There is a new Logitech 1080p C910 camera for about the same dough so examine that out too. |

It performs fairly properly. Talked to close friends and I could tell the distinction in their setups. 1 HD like this and one particular other was fuzzy on my end, older camera. I could almost count the pals eye lashes with HD and they mentioned it was quite good on their finish. none- so far... Just plugged it in and made some Skype calls. It comes with modest CD set up disk but I skipped making use of that. |

Clear and smooth video. Sound good quality is great. No stuttering or skip video frame. Plug and Play with XP / Win7 / Skype / MSN messenger; no driver installation necessary. None. 1 on 1 video conference is great. I know Skype the new version has 30 days on 3 way conference. But if this item wants to get into the small business side , it need to offer a answer for several conference capability. |

clear image.. brief cable for desktop... NOT HD for everybody! If your upload speed is below 1 mbps it functions 640x480, NOT HD ! U-verse upload 1 mbps; Road Runner turbo upload 512 kbps... So it can not work with them in HD! They do not advertice the truth! |

Product is good.But I have ATT U-verse 450 package (they stated fastest net on USA) and I can't send HD wiev.Simply because my upload speed isn'T enough...If U verse is fastest in USA and this item and other related item dont send any HD wiev to other side why I purchased this one particular? Works wonderful, every little thing just as advertised. BE WARNED Men and women. YOU Require AT LEAST 1.2mbps upload for HD recording. Me personally I have Comcast's 24ǘ so I am great but don't confuse your download with your upload. 8 mbps = 1 MB(Megabyte) I hate it when folks often say issues about internet speeds and don't even know anything about the topic. |

Like any HD webcam, you do have to have a true high speed web connection, not slow DSL or other old technology. HD video takes a lot of bandwidth no matter what brand or model you get. I do have real world wide web, and also the people I use it to connect with, and this factor works fantastic. None. Any properly created webcam would slow down or drop resolution when you use a slow connection, or the person viewing uses a slow connection. You want that. Otherwise, it would be trying to pump to significantly high def video information and it would bog down. It's very good computer software style that this unit adjust to what your connection is capable of. If you want full HD video each methods, merely get an world wide web connection capable of full HD each approaches. I use a cable modem and have no issues at all. That's why I dumped dsl. It was ok for the 70's, but not now. |

Works as advertised, produces HD video over Skype if you have the readily available upload bandwidth. At present have Verizon FIOS at residence with 20MB down and 5MB up, far more than sufficient for this Camera.Camera's wide angle Lens and auto-focus all work good. Camera offloads most of the function from the PC's CPU, could not ask for additional at this cost. None. Hopefully folks will check the positive posts with the warnings of checking your upload bandwidth just before knocking this item. |
