Cons: noisy fan at 45% and up!

Pros: low power 3d ready

i upgraded from a pair of Sapphire hd 5770 in xfire. the gain isn't as much as i thought it would be! dx11 apps big gain heaven 2.1 the 5770's got 31.9 fps and this 6870 got 38.9. but in dx10 aps like 3d mark vantage the 5770's gpu scored 18476 and the 6870 gpu scored 16923! but the drivers are still cat 10-10. but still love the perks of this card. i can always add another one for xfir would still recomend it good card. look forword to tweaking it more. hope that amd updates the drivers in near future!

Cons: Fairly LongLoud fan

Pros: Price:Performance ratio
Comment:
Performance in this price range is great. Got mine for $242.I opted for an AMD/ATI card this time around, been a Nvidia guy for a long time.Never had a good chance to run the card through its paces yet but temp wise it has yet to reach 60 degrees with a fan speed of 27% running my games. Idle temp is 46 with fan speed at 23%I attribute these good temps only because my room is cool and my case is large with good airflow.I did play with manually setting fan speeds and at about 30% I can start to hear its fan over my case fans (Yes.... my case fans are far from quiet) Manually setting it to 100% and its very loud. By far the loudest vidcard fan I've ever owned. Leaving the driver to control fan speeds, with my good temps, the noise level is not too bad... cannot hear it over my case fans.Overall its a great card for the price but cooler/fan is on the noisy side.I would buy again.

Cons: It's huge. You'll need at least a mid tower to fit it.The cooling fan howls like mad at anything above 30% power

Pros: Amazing performance for the price.

I upgraded to this card from a powercolour 5770 and I've been very pleased. It competes with a pair of 5700 or 5800 in crossfire for just a fraction of the price. So far it runs everything I've thrown at it perfectly. High frame rates and a perfectly smooth view.I upgraded to this card because I'd tried crossfire before and had too many problems getting the drivers to work. I plugged this card in and away it went! Hassle free. Running one card is nice too since it uses less space and power.I was disappointed with how loud the fan is though. At 40-60% speed it makes a huge racket. Anything over 60% is intolerably loud. It hasn't been a huge problem so far though since 40% and under is enough to keep the card from breaking 60C. Home theater enthusiasts might be disappointed though. Although I'd buy one again, I'd like it even more if it came with a quieter cooling fan!

price matched to 242. powerful for the price I paid. it comes with a bunch of cables, even though I probably wont use them, it's nice to have, knowing I'm getting my money's worth. So far no crashes when I play games.

Cons: size (for those with smaller cases)

Pros: PRICE,lower power consumption, lower heat leading to lower needed fan speed and temps, PRICE, 900mhz Core

Upgraded to this card from a 5770 after seeing reviews. Very happy with the upgrade as I will sell the 5770 for $100 and so this card upgrade will cost $180 all in for twice the performance increase over the 5770. This allows to play all games at 1900x1200 with AAx8 and high settings at very least while still maintaining a higher FPS than the 5770. Price on these cards are amazing. This card beats the 5850, beats the gtx 460 and 470 in some cases, and gives the more expensive 5870 a run for its money. This card may have fewer stream processors but makes up for it with a higher clock speed and more efficient operation. Overall I am very happy with this card.. once voltage manipulation is available and some third party coolers come out this will be an awesome card for single or dual solutions. Some may want to wait for what the 6970/90 will bring to the table, as upgrading from a 5850 or 5870 or gtx470 would not be a large jump performance wise, but GTX460 and below would make more sense to get onto this card as it does slot very nicely in between the 5850 and 5870. If you are in the market for a great uppermidrange card to replace an older mid range model card this is worth every penny.
