Size - Low power draw - Quiet adequate for me/not distracting - pleasant aesthetics/not garish - combined with Power DVD 9 deluxe it produces exceptional blue ray final results and even tends to make my non blue ray dvds look awesome. NO LOW PROFILE ADAPTER Included! This is a htpc card in the purest sense and it performs admirably in that respect. Don't be a moron and believe your going to run Crysis or any other significant game with this card. A low profile adapter is a necessity with this card and not delivering a single is quite lame.

Value - was on sale + rebate + free of charge shipping - Couldn't beat it The heatsink is of low-cost high-quality. I took it off and had to lap it. Employed some ArcticSilver and reapplied it. The fan is louder than I would of liked. I have a high CFM, low dB technique and I notice this factor more than all the other parts in my technique. It's nevertheless quiet compared to some cards, but not as quiet as I would of liked. I'm working with this as a second card in my technique to run a third monitor. Does the job just perfect with not substantially fuss. I assume it would make a incredible HTPC card too.

Price only ฟ right after rebate. Small and does not take up two slots. This is a fantastic video card to pair up with a low price motherboard and CPU to upgrade old method with and nonetheless play your old games. Ron Paul is not President but. I popped this in the slot of my Biostar N68S3+ and it booted up fine. Installed the drivers from the CD and running a 24" Sony Trinitron at 1920x1200. This is a big upgrade from the on-board Geforce 7025 on the Motherboard for only ฟ. I can run Quake III Arena at 1920x1200 with graphics settings on max at an average of 145 fps with sound and frame sync off. (Athlon II 250 three. GHz, Windows XP)

Fits fine, did'nt price much, operates & installation was a breeze. I just downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidiaaaa (sing it with me) - didnt even bother with the disk. Even with free shipping, received the card in three days!! cant beat that Dual View didnt function so well and clone setting messed up my computer system monitor - this took some playing with to get every little thing seeking appropriate and nonetheless have both screens searching the very best that is inside there capabilities. I went with clone view to make watching media on my tv simpler. some have complained about loud fans. I have to be lucky, mine runs quiet. cant even hear it. and no, my hearing is fine. just waiting on the บ rebate to close the deal. Windows XP - complete size atx case.

PureVideo4 (VP4) video offloading, low energy consumption, adding HDMI to older/slower (less capable) motherboard integrated graphics. Comparatively LOUD fan noise for such a little GPU. Original FAN speed is fixed (not changable), regardless of whether at idle or load, regardless of GPU temperature. Fan noise can be created a lot lower by altering voltage from 12v to either 7v or 5v. (hardware volt mod). Original fan speed too high.Great for upgrading older integrated graphics. (IGP)Not any quicker than present generation IGP (AMD HD3200񳱘, Intel HD graphics) or previous generation low-end/HTPC cards, (GeForce 8400GS, AMD HD3450Ɲ stars for needlessly high FAN speed. (Why didn't the manufacturer use lower ampage fan, or feed it a lower voltage when clearly this modest GPU generates small heat and consumes small energy even under load), otherwise 5 stars as a HTPC (low power consumption/low heat/low expense/video help) IGP upgrade.

Ok so this card is substantially greater than onboard video. Nvidia PhysX/Cuda.Inexpensive.direct x 10.reasonably quiet. Inexspensive.DDR2 is slow.64bit memory width is slow. Ok so here is the skinny. If you are creating a spending budget program please look at receiving this or some similar card rather of a motherboard with onboard graphics. Having a devoted GPU takes alot of anxiety off of the motherboard, cpu, and ram. essentially you will acquire 10-15% overall system efficiency with a card like this more than onboard graphics.Ok so this card is inexpensive. It is not that loud. Yes it is audible but no it isnt particularly loud.So i just upgraded my HTPC and these are the specs. This card, biostar mobo on amd 770 chipset, phenomII x4 920 2.8ghz deneb, four gb of kingston hyper-x ddr3 1333 cas 7, and a seagate 7200rpm sata2 drive.Ok so starcraft two is playable on med/low settings @ 1280x720(connected to 37" lcd television). 70fps med texture, low shaders, med effects, high physics, low models.Overall for 15 dollars i cant complain. I will use this for devoted physics card later when i get a 460.

Pretty QuietLooks excellent on my 42" LCD TelevisionAffordable For price can't definitely see any Purchased this for my HTPC I was upgrading. Picture looks fantastic on my 42" Vizio Tv. HTPC operating Ubuntu 10.10 and worked as soon as installed. I did install the nvidia proprietary drivers for it which made the picture on 1080p video crystal clear(wasn't poor before but 1080p looked a lot more like 720p with the open source drivers).

Cheap and offer greater performance than current onboard video setups. Has sound over HDMI and works excellent as a HTPC card by way of the HDMI. Is not whisper quiet. Not screaming loud but if searching for a extremely quiet to silent card this is not it. Also I removed the heatsink to see its top quality as 1 other reviewer stated it was nto superior. I have to agree. The bottom of the heatsink is Very ruff. Sanding it with some 1000-1500grit sand paper will smooth it out. But since this is not a gaming video card may well not be worth the effort as I would not overclock it. Over all it will work fine for my grandmother who does not game. Superior than onboard video and frees up program memory. If you want a additional quiet basic/HTPC card look for a 5450 or a GT220뢈 with a large heatsink. I have a GT240 in my HTPC and is much far more quiet than this.
