I was looking to upgrade an existing computer to be able to burn DVD's. An excellent choice for your older computers that use IDE connectors. I wish I had bought two!

I ordered the Lite-ON iHap222-06 DVD Burner to replace another Lite-ON DVD burner that was about 3 to 4 years old. The new unit arrived faster than I thought it would, and it was easy for me to install. Thank you for getting me back up and running so quickly.

Purchased two of these drives for video burns. we need burns to be reliable and find that burning above 4x on most burners will create issues. THESE DRIVES CAN NOT BURN SLOWER THAN 6X ON 5 COMMON media. Got only as low as 4x on 1 media. This is terrible! Lite-on told me that they did not support some very common medias and mentioned that TDK & Ritek are good. I tried them and the burns were 6X up to 16. Still no 1X, 2X, or 4X. Yes we tried all firmware updates and their technical support which was terrible.

The little I have used the DVD-RW it has worked flawlessly. The LightScribe software is not too complicated, and does a nice job.

I can't say enough about this burner, as it is great for the money. I can't give 5 stars, as if I did the company would stop trying to improve, and there is always room for improvment.

A little noisy, but for the price it's awesome! I have an older PC running XP and I found that the Nero package that came with it really bogged down my machine, but once I uninstalled that it works beautifully.

The burner was installed by myself in less than ten minutes. Simple to use and works fantastic burning any DVD. Works great at faster settings.

First of all, this was shipped overnight! Awesome and I didn't buy the overnight shipping. I have an old PC with XP on it. This Lighscribe worked well. Make sure you install the CD that comes along as it sets up LightScribe drivers.

drive is fast and have experienced no problems with it at all especially considering it is still ide interface (pata) - would recommend to anyone if they want a drive with current features for an computer under 5 years old

although i am still learning the nero software that came with this product, within a few short days of it's use (and installation), my power supply went bad. the repair person says that a new burner can burn out a 400w power supply fast. so not exactly happy of more money coming out of my pocket but at least i have a burner that works again.
