This adapter has the right Dell mini three pin connector. BEWAREInstead of rewiring the Dell connector side of this adapter to match the Dell system, this connector is a uncomplicated pass-via cable from the 3 pin regular white energy connector. I had to reduce and resplice all 3 wires in the correct order so that the fan would work and match Dell's wiring configuration. While the actual black dell 3 pin connector is right, the order of wiring in the connector is not! (Dell re-arranges the cables in their energy connectors) I bought two adapters and both are the identical, so this is not a fluke. If I were just paying for a three pin dell connector, I would not have bought this complete adapter. The complete point of an "adapter" is to adapt a single device to another! |

Worked good. New CPU fan operates well and there's no BIOS error. None Installed on a Dell Dimension 3000. |

Ok you actually have to get two adapters. The four pin to three pin that go from the PW Supply to these that do go into the motherboard. None if oyu pay attention. Quit giving issues negative critiques if you did one thing dumb like I did and not spend consideration. Possibly far better pics or a massive sign for The Eggy saying DOES NOT CONNECT FROM Energy Supply TO MOTHERBOARD. |

It does what it is supposed to do physically--which means it can plug into the proprietary Dell motherboard with no situation. Regardless of disabling the F2 discover on the BIOS, there is nonetheless the "fan error" message. Overall, it does what it's supposed to do. Fit my need to have for an old Dell computer system. |

Works as advertised. None. I was reluctant to get this due to the evaluations that say it doesn't function, but I necessary 1 so I went for it anyway. This worked fantastic in permitting me to attach a Rosewill fan to my Dell Dimension 4600 Motherboard. I didn't need to have any added adapters or wire splicing or something. Plugged it into each items and it worked right away. |
