It works well with windows 7 and hyper cam or cam-studio. I'm a teacher who bought this to make online you tube videos. When you use it play with your microphone settings and this should correct any problems you may have picking up audio. You may want to consider picking up a headset microphone if your going to be making the type of instructional videos like me. |

I purchased these for our school computer lab to use with a reading intervention program. The mikes not only work great recording students as they read the passages for later playback and self-check, but the equipment has held up well under heavy usage and handling by elementary students. The stand and microphone are sturdy and rigid so students are not tempted to play with it as they did with some flexible, bendable stands we had. The only drawback is that the cord is very long for use in a computer lab where you don't need all that length. But for the price, it's a great product for student use. |

works so well I can pick up cars moving a 100 feet away. does not suck as people say below. It was quiet for me at first too but windows likes to auto mute the microphone hence you cant hear yourself. Unmuted it and bam crystal clear and ready to rock. Good fix if you have a primo headset and dont want another annoying clipon. |

We use these in a school computer lab. Even the best microphones don't last forever in that setting - so a good, basic microphone that doesn't break the bank is important. This one is just that. |

i thought i was getting the best of both worlds(a inexpensive microphone with very good performance).i was totally shocked.i tried to use it talking to my friend online and was totally disappointed.i kept hearing him say get closer,i can't hear you. do you want to know when he finally heard me? well it was when i had to almost put the mic in my mouth.i would never,ever recommend this product to anyone i know. what a disappointment. |

I love Genius products,they are in the market for so long and tried there products from mouse to tablet & scanner. About the MIC, well not bad at all used it in yahoo video chat & recording, its li,ght,adjustible,long cord and china made :-) |
