Cons: When sounds are at higher pitches from sources like riffing electric guitars and cymbals, they become less crisp and sound tinny and cacophonous. The speaker cable is made for monitors which are 18.5 inches or smaller.
Pros: Plenty of sound volume. Crisp sound at lower volumes and for lower pitched sounds. For price and performance, it's excellent. |

Well I bought these as cheap speakers since my old ones gave out and the reviews were good, but I was totally disappointed when I found it doesn't fit beside my monitor. I have a 24" slim monitor and no matter how you stretch it-it will not fit beside the monitor.The cord between the speaker is only 20 inches long, but when you turn the speakers towards you it loses an inch on each side so it gets even shorter to 18 inches. My brother actually has the exact same model but his cord is 12 inches longer and will fit beside his 24" monitor.It probably won't even fit beside an 18" monitor since the border isn't included in the total size of the monitor.I guess you get what you pay for... If you want quality spend a few extra. |

Wow. $7 on sale? That is CHEAP!You won't want to be listening to loud music on these - but they are fine for ambient background music, and perfect if you just intend to plug headphones into them.Did I mention the price?Quality seems good enough. Nice box/package. Easy to sell. |

For the price you can't go wrong. Its so cheap that you can't expect to be a high-quality studios speakers, but the frequency respond is quite good for home and normal use. In short, it's doing its job. |

Bought this set of speakers, for my kids comp. I didnt expect much but I was pleased surpriced with the sound, theyre not bad at all 1W u cant get HD sound ofcourse but for under 9$ they do theyre job flawlesly. Reccomended.CheersMarco |

Well. they're 10 bux. Our school has these in the animation labs, and they work really well. didn't expect them to cost just 10 bux. They don't give u the bass, but what do u really expect from what ur paying? |

I had speakers that were making no more sounds, so this is a super upgrade for me. I don't need HQ sounds, so for it's low price, it's perfect. One thing though, my case in on the floor, under the desk, so I barely have enough cable length to plug it in. |

A great little pair of speakers for a budget build. I bought these to replace the broken speakers on a friends computer, and although the audio isn't as good as his old speakers, it's more than good enough, and a great deal for only 10 dollars. |

The price is unbeatable for these speakers. They work perfectly for windows sounds such as alarm chimes and shutdown effects. I've even listened to a bit of music on them and they sound better than any mainstream laptop speakers. And all for $10!! Only gripe I have is the short audio cable. I have it connected but it barely reaches my computer. I'll have to get an extension cable for it soon so that it doesn't have to route from the front of my desk. But if your computer is close to your speakers, then that's fine.Also, they look great for any desk as they're a neutral black. Not too big or tall either. Great minimum budget 2.0 speakers. I bought quite a few of these and, while very basic, they just keep going as opposed to other 2.0 $10-$15 speakers that'd fail within weeks of use. |

I got these to go along with a picture frame, and they do the job perfectly. Plugging in it digital headphones gives me the same quality that I get directly from the computer's sound jack. The lack of an external power supply brick is an added bonus. I think I'll get another one to go with my USB drive mp3 player.A battery compartment, or built-in rechargeable for alternate power on-the-go would have been a good idea, at a higher price tag, of course :) |

I bought those for a friend's computer and for a low end system, they perform very well (for a 7$ purchase). I don't get great bass sound, but it doesn't matter my friend so those speakers are perfect to watch some movies on Internet. |

If you're looking to spend under ten dollars you're more than likely not worried about subwoofers, >2 speakers, or much wattage/power, so these will more than likely suit you well.They don't sound the greatest when at their loudest but they make sound and for this price that's really pretty good anyways. One thing to note is that they do click occasionally and make noise when cell phone calls occur.Simple to set up. Good for anything that you NEED sound for (games, some music, etc.)Not a bad buy, just don't expect more than what you're paying for and you'll be quite happy. Loud speakers. Performs great but is tinny at higher volume and pitches. Tested by playing heavy metal. Audio buffs should get a pricier pair of speakers. Monitor must be 18.5 inches or less.
