Not bad for the most part, but mine pulses the DVD constantly, so not sure how long it will last. Wish it had a HDMI port.

I bought this computer to make my business portable but after 3 months of freezing up on a daily basis, missed keystrokes and scroll pad misfunctions I am still using the 1995 Dell technology, upgraded with XP. I wouldn't risk any valuable info on this machine. Tech support says it's too late to return the machine, so it is almost useless to me. Cheaply built, problematic, stay away.

I bought this because it uses Win XP. Face recognition doesn't work too well, so I removed it. This software can conflict with some 3rd party software & cause freeze-ups.

I purchased this machine for a client and we are BOTH very impressed with it. We don't care for the Face Recognition software, so we agreed to remove it and just use standard security. Great machine for the price!

Very good choice. Gets top notch reviews on every website. Quality build is great. HOWEVER...it uses a 3rd party Utility program to hook up to wi-fi called Pro 'something' and it is horrible. I sent the pewter back because of that. WinXP connects to wi-fi just fine but their utility I never could get the code right. One work around might have been to un-install their utility but it comes pre-installed.

Sure it'll be better with a HDMI plug but very satisfied of this.

Having always owned a desktop PC, I'm really quite impressed with this product. The screen is bright, the keypad is as quiet as could be, the touch pad, well !!! Personally, I chose to purchase a wireless mouse. In summary, if I was asked to give this Lenovo product a name, I would call it the: Lenovo Whisper Laptop.

I received this laptop and immediately was in for a series of problems. It completely locked down on me multiple times causing me to hard boot the machine, which I do not like to do. The hard drive scan using pc doc provided on the machine proved that the hard drive was fried -- failing four out of seven tests. Needless to say, I have returned this machine for a refund.

I bought the Lenovo to replace my 5 year old Toshiba M30 and am thoroughly impressed. It's amazingly quiet, and slick. All black. Keypad is quiet and the screen is bright. My only conflict with this machine is the front-mount headphone jack - which makes sense for headphones, but not a speaker source! The wire pokes out at me and bends around to the right, whereas the Toshiba had a rear-right mount that was out of the way. Otherwise, a great machine with Windows 7. Faster than any machine I've been on yet.

We bought this computer as an upgrade for our shop, and so far it has not lived up to our expectations. It has wireless connectivity issues, therefore we cannot use our software and have to keep rebooting the computer several times daily. We have called Lenovo three times, they have tried, but haven't been able to fix the problem. They also misrepresented the

Delivery was prompt. Computer set up well. Only issue is awkwardness in opening computer lid as hinge seems to stick. Don't have that problem with any other laptops that we have used.

All XP machines are priced higher than their Vista counter parts. You could save some money by buying a Vista model and converted it to XP-Pro. Lenovo site has all the drivers that are very easy to find. I have been a loyal Acer customer for over ten years. This is the first Lenovo I bought. The feel is different from Acer. It feels as solid as Acer. The Lenovo keys were softer. Cursor tended to jump around when I moved my hands (vibration?). Otherwise, it is a decent machine, a good deal, and a good buy. I gave a '4' on quality because I did not know its true quality. So far (one month), I have not had any problem yet. I gave a '4' on value because I regret that I did not buy a Vista machine and convert to XP-Pro. I have extra XP-Pro from my machines that died.

My old laptop was slowing down due to the demands that WinXP was putting on it, so I researched a replacement. There are not many newer laptops with WinXP-most have Vista on them, which has too many driver issues for me. Finding this value line with most of the latest features, WinXP and the right price made my day. I got this at home within 5 days and was able to get it up and running within an hour after removing the software I didn't want, installing the antivirus, establishing a wireless connection and went online to download updates. This model comes with its own update feature which will save a lot of time since the updates are specific to your model. After nearly 2 months of use I'm confident that this model will last me several years.

this is the best computer for the price especially if you are looking for a computer with XP so you can run software that is not compatible with vista. i have been very happy with it after using it for about a month now.

Nice laptop for home or school use. Don't really care for the mouse pad, it seems erratic at times with the cursor going off screen, better to use a wireless mouse. Battery life seems to be at the 3 to 3.5 hour range, depending on what you are doing. The only other thing is the shiny display, very hard to see in bright light conditions. For the money a pretty good buy.

I bought this notebook for my son so I haven't really used it much but for whatever brief time that I had spent on this machine, I can say that it's really a better value for what I paid for. Though the dvd drive do make some noise, it's comparable to my other notebook which costs more.

I bought my laptop after much research that indicated the quality of their brand and tech support. My machine worked flawlessly until HD issue that required OS reload. This manufacture doesnt include OS installation CDs with their laptops because of the One Touch feature. Thier tech support tried to charge me for support because my laptops manufacturing date was past one year of my service call. Their tech support took fourteen days to ship OS installation disks to me after guaranteeing I would have them in seven days. On the eighth day I called to check status and I was told my order was never processed with no explanation why. Ive gone round and round with them explaining I was using this machine for accelerated college studies and receiving the OS CDs was crucial. In the end I was forced to drop my classes because I couldnt make up the lost time and the end result I lost seven hundred dollars due to course withdrawal policies.

I would definitely recommend this laptop. For the price it has all the features that I needed and I am very happy that it had Windows XP Pro instead of Vista. Delivery was quick and customer service was helpful also. This purchase was a good decision.
