Cons: Loose fittingPrice (still at $99)Don't completely block out external sound so lots of background noise can be interruptivePleather on ear foam quickly crumbles into dust but has no effect on quality

Pros: Clear microphoneLight weightGreat sound (I'm not an audiophile)Long cordDurableDon't completely block out external sound so you can still be somewhat aware of your surroundings
Comment:
My 161s have worked excellently for three years (purchased in August of 2008). I have never had an issue with microphone quality and it was only in August, 2011 when the left speaker started to cut out for several hours at a time (for some odd reason pressing the volume wheel in made it work again temporarily). However, the right speaker and microphone still work great. Despite a light build and loose fitting it held up to numerous drops and hits (caused my tripping over the cord, my fault entirely).

Cons: Doesn't come with usb dongle

Pros: Cheap, good sound quality
Comment:
Purchased a second one of these for a gift and combined it with a Startech USB 2.0 to Audio Adapter Converter so I don't have to run additional wires and it works on Mac as well.

Cons: Random crackling w/ windows 7 (but not in-game)

Pros: Great soundClear micComfortable
Comment:
This is a really nice, comfortable headset that suited my gaming desires for a few months (until i met the logitech G35). The sound quality seems really good and clear. I have had not a single complaints from anyone i game with about the mic. They all say i sound clear. Also its comfortable, which is a huge selling point for anyone that plays to many FPS games... Or warcraft if you must...The random windows 7 cracking I am un-sure of, but doesn't bother me, as i don't wear a headset to hear the dumb windows noises. Its always plugged in, but only wear it while gaming..PS: Once I was introduced to a good headset i never hooked my speakers up again.. Besides, you might want to hear the audio of your game, but no one els does, and no one in-game wants to hear your speakers coming through your mic... be considerate, buy a headset.

Cons: - None.

Pros: - Very heavily padded.- Good sound quality.- Versatile microphone.
Comment:
I normally use the Sennheiser HD595 for most things, but for Skype I find it easier to switch to headphones with a mic built-in. I previously had a pair of Logitechs but after a year and a half the foam pads split on the seams and completely fell apart. So I jumped on these when they were on sale and am very happy, I thought that there would be no way for the sound quality to compare to my 595s costing many times more but I was pleasantly surprised. Build quality seems par for Sennheiser, I imagine this pair will last a long time.

Cons: Not the best sound overall. Lacking in bass.

Pros: Very clear unidirectional mic. Long wire. Reasonably comfortable.
Comment:
The best thing about this headset has to be the mic. Being unidirectional, it cuts out most of the background noise or any other distracting sounds while giving the speaker amazing clarity. As for the sound quality, personally, I don't think it's that good. The bass, for me, is lacking pretty badly, and overall it seems to sound a bit canny. The best use I can think of for this headset is VOIP.

Cons: -chord is not what i'd call "extra thick"-price is a little steep (but can be PM'd)

Pros: -sound great in games and for music as well
Comment:
These are the nicest pair of headphones I've owned yet. The sounds in games really come alive (grenades in Crysis sound satisfyingly real for example).

Cons: this is sooooooooo minor and im really nit picking, but the clip for the volume control and mute switch for clipping it onto your shirt is kinda crappy, not crappy quality, but just bad design, i find i dont use it.

Pros: good cord, long cord, very very comfortable, mic works great, excellent volume control and muting, great sound.
Comment:
This headset is amazing. I love it. I have had probably 5 different headsets over the years, some good some bad, but none like this. This is probably the most comfortable headset you will ever wear. i sometimes wear it for 2 - 3 hours at a time, and when i take it off i almost dont notice a difference. i was very very concerned about the comfort level as some headsets are horrible, this one does not have that problem.Besides that, the sound quality and bass are great, the cord length is excellent, the build quality also seems to be damn fine too.the only problem i found was the volume control and mic mute clip was somewhat unusable for myself. this is not really an issue though as i only use it sitting at the computer so i just put it in my lap.5* great product, will but Sennheiser again for sure!

Cons: - My microphone stopped working after 1 week

Pros: - Sennheiser sound quality- Simple, light design
Comment:
I've had two pairs of these and they're great, but the microphone stopped working on my second one after a week. It would be unfair to judge my experience on that pair alone, as I'm sure I just ended up with a dud. Anyways, the sound quality is great and the design is nice and simple. Another plus is the weight of these. They don't weigh a million pounds like all those other flashy units you can buy. Also, they're stereo, which is a plus; none of that gimmicky 5.1 BS. Stick with a company that knows sound quality like Sennheiser, rather than a company that knows nothing of the sort.

Cons: Very small on the ears

Pros: Nice Base, Awesome Microphone!
Comment:
My head is first, lets start on that, if only the ear cuffs are bigger, this would get a 5/5.I own two headsets, this one and a Steel Series 5H v2, the 5H has better tone, the sound is clearer but no base. The microphone isn't as good as this one. But, this one has a very very good microphone and bass is pretty darn good. The only downsize is the size and the tone isn't that hig because the bass is excellent.

Cons: - thin cable- won't fit a young person well

Pros: - long cable- quality mic- very comfortable- great sound quality
Comment:
The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because of the thin cable. This can be a real problem if for example you accidentally run over it with the wheels on the bottom of your chair. Other than that, people I use voice with are impressed with the sound quality. I'm impressed with the sound quality. The ear pads are very comfortable, though over time they do attract some dead skin which needs to be gently washed off.My comment about not fitting a young person well is because while the ear pieces extend to fit a larger head, the smallest they can go is about he size of a medium sized adult or large teen.

Cons: Feel very cheaply made. I have a pair of 30$ headphones that feel like their better quality then these. They're also shaped very strange, to make up for people with big heads. I wear glasses, so it hurts on of my ears lol, but most headphones do so I can't hold that against it.

Pros: Really good sound quality. It comes with a really long cord too, 10 ft, i actually had to tie some up so it wouldn't get tangled up on everything.
Comment:
Really good headphones, but they feel very very cheap, like a pair of 20$ headphones. Good sound quality though. Not gunna lie, i expected more for their price luckily i got them on sale.

Cons: A little bit uncomfortable after the 90 minute mark sometimes.

Pros: Great, crystal-clear microphoneGreat sound
Comment:
Got these to take with me for four months when I moved across the country. I needed a good pair of headphones to listen to music as well as game with, and a solid microphone to use with Skype. For the price, this definitely delivers. There are better ones out there, but unless you're serious on sound/gaming and feel like throwing the money for a top-notch headset, this is your best bet.

Cons: Get a bit warm after a while.

Pros: Comfortable.Great mic.Good sound quality.Well made.
Comment:
Well I was kind of expecting to be blown away by the exellent sound quality when I first tried them on ... however after trying some games and music I would say the sound is good, but not exellent. The bass was rather weak and I had to turn up the bass slider quite far on my Audigy2 to get some decent sound. The higher frequencies are decent too, but not quite as crisp as I had hoped. But having said that, this is still the best headset/headphones I have ever owned, and they do have an overall nice sound to them. The mic is exellent, I can have my speakers (Logitech z-680) turned up to very decent volume levels and the mic does not pic them up, yet picks up my voice just fine. Also they are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn and they look pretty nice too.

Cons: Price unless you price-match it

Pros: Confort, Sound, cable length.
Comment:
I got these to replace a set of Logitech USB 350. The logitech did what they were suppose to do but the confort and sound quality was sub-par.I though about the Turtle Beach AK-R8 but they are PC only. The PC-161 once price-matched at $65.00 are great for PC games, music listening (on PC and iPod) and I also used them for my electric guitar (the cable lenght is a big +).I have not used the Mic yet so I can't comment.

Pros: Comfy for long periods. Long cord. Inline volume control

Great set of headphones. Very comfy for periods of gaming, movable mic so you can put it out of the way when watching a movie. Good sound canceling as my TV is 10 feet away from my chair and can hear the headphones much better. Great deal when on sale.

Cons: No major weaknesses. Maybe wait for sale to buy.

Pros: I think these are the best headset out for the price range.
Comment:
This headset is comfortable for long periods of time, and sounds great. Over my mildly priced headphones, I can hear more crisply and equally over the spectrum. These have good base and have survived a few crashes to the concrete floor with no breakage. I do find at the smallest setting these feel very large on my head, but still stay on if I do not lean over.

Awsome! I got this headset on sale for $49.00, it was worth every penny. The sound quality is great! The mic brodcasts your voice nice and clear in games. I would have prefered to get a surround sound headset but this one sounds almost as good and is more affordable.

Cons: None so far

Pros: Amazing sound qualitySmart microphone
Comment:
This headset is by far the best I've owned, I got it on a sale from NCIX for about 60 dollars (thanks guys!), and the quality is amazing. My computer is freakishly loud thanks to some 80mm 115CFM fans and when I'm listening to music or playing a game, I can barely hear any outside noise even if I want to. Comfortable, too, they fit just nicely on the ears. The microphone picks things up rather well, with some tweaking in the audio settings.
