I own an ASUS Transformer and bought the Archos for my wife as she needs the storage space for her pictures. She is pretty much tech illiterate and I let her cut her teeth on a cheap tablet before buying her the Archos. All I can say is that she could not be happier. The interface is awesome. No issues with Market and getting all the programs she needs. The 4X3 aspect ratio is simply magnificent for Netflix which she uses quite a bit. The sound is good and loud as she uses it for music as well. The controls are simple to figure out. This thing is also blazingly fast! I cannot recommend this enough for your significant other.Just an amazing all around tablet. The storage alone is worth the premium. My wife struggled a bit with my rooted Transformer yet she has had 0 issues with the G80.
