Cons: -Sound quality not as good as other headphones in this price range-USB sound card and surround processing is poor-Ear pads unnecessarily large and don't sit around your ears-Lights are a premium novelty

Pros: -Eye-Catching looks-Comfortable design-Great controls on the headset itself-Retractable Mic-Connection versatility via included adapters
Comment:
The sound quality is a bit muddy and lacking in detail but as far as "gaming headsets" go it is definitely among the better sounding ones. It has better than average bass response. When connecting it via the included USB sound card however it results in a noticeable drop  in quality and volume. The surround effect from the USB card isn't as effective as other solutions and makes standard audio from music, etc sound quite poor. The on ear controls are great and much better than searching a cable for an in-line control module. You have a large dial on each ear...one for volume and one for mic mute/unmute. When Muted the mic end lights up as an indicator which is very handy. The downloaded software feels a little buggy and sluggish with settings sometimes taking an effort to be accepted. There are mic adjustment settings that don't seem to have any noticeable effect. The "hear your own voice" feature is of really poor quality and very scratchy sounding. The lights no doubt catch the eyes at first but it's not much more than a novetly...you don't see them at all when you're actually using the headset.Despite the large cushion size, the ear cutout isn't large enough to surround your ear, it still sits partially on top of it. The cushions are so large that you actually notice them in your peripheral vision. Regardless they still feel comfortable but I think there's a bit of form over function going on there. On it's own it is an above average "gaming headset" but the USB card and related features are disappointing and make it sound worse. While it can be used without the USB connector, you lose the lighting, mic indicator, surround, and all the software-driven features that you are paying for so it might make it harder to justify.
