Bought many on those for use in Elementary classroomsI'm impressed by the LCD control panel which allows for easy selection of the different features (copy, scan, print photos). Very slick and well set up. The printer also has wireless access built in and that was easy to set up with a large selection of options. You can send the scans to PC connected by USB, to a USB key or a memory card (a reader is built in). Really, too many features and possibilities to list, all seems elegantly implemented.My gripes are with the new Canon cartridges. They have a new type of chip, and now are completely opaque, so you cant see how much ink you have, you have to count on the software to tell you. Draw your own conclusions on how that affects the possibilies for refill. Also, they seem to be even smaller than before. Mind you they seem to use ink quite efficiently, but still. You do have 5 distinct cartridges like many previous models, so if you run out of, say, yellow, no need to replace all the colors in one enclosed cartridge. That does save some $$$ over the long run.It's also picky about reading usb keys you already have files on. Best get a usb key, format it and then use it exclusively for printer files.But, overall, it's a really good printer, nice looking too. Almost makes me want to chuck my old Canon at home, but I'll keep it since it's considerably cheaper on ink.
