My old usb mouse was connecting and disconnecting like mad. I picked this because it's cheapest. I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality and precision. Windows 7 32bit installs everything as soon as I plug it in, working perfectly ever since.

Cons: Large dongle. Dongle needs to be inserted to switch off mouse.

Pros: Very comfortable for Right Hand. Tracks extremely well. Low price.
Comment:
Best mouse I've ever used! Love the shape, size, button locations, and Intelli-mouse software. Superb tracking. No switch unless you insert  the dongle but I just leave it 'on' all the time and battery life has been fine - the sleep mode works great.

Pros: Bluetrack, good ergonomic design
Comment:
I got this for $10 on sale. The mouse fits into the hand very well hence comfortable for long-hours usage. The bluetrack works well, it even worked partially on a glass surface (I ended up having to use a book as a mousepad, but other mice would not work at all on that surface). Not exactly sure about the working distance, but I was cleaning the mouse about 2-3 meters away and found out that it still works from that distance.

Cons: None, really. I guess that the driver disc is not inside a sleeve.

Pros: Very comfortable, good reception, easy to install, 5 buttons.
Comment:
Despite saying that it is a mini mouse, I think it is nearly full-sized. I have tested on several Windows computers and driver install was seamless. I can't speak to how easy it installs on non-Windows platforms. The range is enough for me, I generally use it at about 15 to 20 feet with no loss of reception.

Cons: big USB dongle that sticks out of the laptop

Pros: Great ergonomicsTracks EVERYWHERELong battery life
Comment:
I got this to use with my new netbook, but I surprisingly LOVE the ergonomics so much I'm going to buy a second one for my main desktop. The buttons are perfectly placed for me, and my hand doesn't get tired after many hours of use. It tracks EVERYWHERE! I use a netbook propped up on my knees in bed at night, and this little mouse works perfectly on the bedsheet beside me, regardless of the many folds it comes across. Also works flawlessly on the armchair of my recliner, something that no other mouse I've owned will doOnly downside is the USB dongle is fairly big compared to my previous notebook mice. It's not HUGE, just not small...sticks out like a normal USB memory stick.

Cons: Non-rechargeable (natively), large USB dongle.

Pros: Best laptop mouse ever. Decent build quality, excellent performance.
Comment:
I love this mouse, I bought one on sale for $13 a while back. I have the larger Explorer Mouse for my main desktop and thought this could be the one for travel. It is. The battery life is quite good, the performance is excellent. It sure is nice to put it on a couch cushion or chair arm and carry on without any fuss. It doesn't work on a glass surface, even if there is an opaque surface below the glass. In that case just put a piece of paper down and you're set.The dongle is permanently married to the mouse. Personally, I like this as you don't have to worry about pairing the devices, it.just.works and works immediately like a wired mouse. I suppose if you lose the dongle you're screwed, but it would probably cost less to replace the mouse than track down a new dongle. Admittedly that would be wasteful, but the odds of losing the dongle are slim as the dongle attaches to the mouse and the mouse has a carrying case.I liked it so much I bought a second one as a spare when it went on sale for.. get this: $5.99!

Cons: Imprecise wheel; blinding blue LED on the bottom;

Pros: SURPRISE $5.99!! Tracks solidly; very comfortable; 5 buttons; UFO lighting when turned on.
Comment:
I usually avoid Microsoft mice - I find they're designed for larger hands, and my Asian digits usually have a hard time dealing with their girth and mass. But then I saw this for $5.99 and thought 'why not give that a go?'.And count me pleasantly surprised. There isn't enough palm support (that's a common issue across many mobile mice anyways), but the height doesn't turn my wrist into an L and the scalloped sides make it easy to lift. Also there are 5 buttons plus side scrolling - that's less than a dollar per button! Although you'll have to install the Intellipoint for that to work properly. On the other hand Microsoft seriously needs to stop with this smooth wheel nonsense and go back to detented wheels. They're too damped to scroll fast and too imprecise to scroll slow. And this is with the Intellipoint scroll setting on '1'!! (the only workable setting need I add) Otherwise it tracks beautifully and the buttons feel solid and the weight is about right.....

Cons: 1) slippery scroll wheel; and 2) annoying blue light around edge of mouse

Pros: cheap, on sale for $5.99
Comment:
ONLY GETS 2 STARS, NOT 3 (NCIX won't publish reviews with less than 3 stars). The scroll wheel is made of "chromed" plastic, and it's pretty small, so my finger is CONSTANTLY sliding over it instead of rolling the wheel. I have three other mice, and all three use silicone scroll wheels, which make them grippy and easy to scroll.

Cons: -USB dongle cannot be replaced!-the shape is somewhat bulky/the USB dongle is not flush with the mouse bottom when inserted into the mouse-cursor movement sometimes lags behind physical movement-power switch can only be actioned by the pressure of inserting the USB dongle-scroll-wheel is so-so

Pros: -not ridiculously small-works fairly well on a large variety of surfaces-can be turned off-has 4-way scrolling
Comment:
The chief drawback of this device, being the low-end model, is that the mouse is "2.4GHz Wireless"-only (most of the other BlueTrack models also support BlueTooth). What this means is, the mouse firmware is permanently paired with the accompanying dongle. If you lose/break either piece, both must be replaced. Microsoft CAN NOT/WILL NOT provide a replacement dongle. Anyhow, I believe this was the problem with the unit first unit I received - the dongle's ID did not match the mouse. NCIX promptly replaced it and the new one works fine. If you have a similar problem, check the numbers on the bottom of the mouse and dongle. The PIN number can be different, but the PID numbers on both pieces must match. As for the mouse itself:-It works alone as a generic HID, or you can install MS Intellipoint and take advantage of extra features. You can re-program all the buttons, system-wide or per-program.-It is shaped for right-handers only. I have small hands + long fingers, and while I don't find the mouse particularly uncomfortable, it is not long/tall enough to properly support both my fingers and my palm. A Plants vs Zombies session will lead to soreness/cramping.-The BlueTrack tech seems to work pretty well on most surfaces, but I've never had issues with a "normal", non-fancy mouse unless I was trying to use it on shag carpeting. Glass is still not a usable surface. One thing I notice is it seems to take longer to process movements on poor surfaces. While a regular mouse may "guess" and become less accurate, this mouse will usually present very accurate movement - but sometimes quite a while (meaning many milliseconds) behind what you're doing with it.-When the dongle is docked into the mouse, it still sticks out a bit. This, combined with the fairly round profile of the mouse, makes it a somewhat tedious item to find a spot for in your bag.-The mouse has both Back and Forward buttons. This was the main reason I chose this mouse over others which may have been more comfortable. Faster navigation = less mouse usage, and less need for the perfect shape.-4-Way scrolling is very useful for netbooks' small screens. Unfortunately, this scroll-wheel does not have any notches/detents/clicking when you turn it, so it is difficult to scroll left or right without also scrolling up and down. It can be done if you take the time to change your grip on the mouse - but at that point it's probably faster to use the window's scroll-bars. Vertical scrolling also happens unintentionally once in a while, and when it is intentional the lack of tactile feedback makes it difficult to control. Intellipoint allows you to set the vertical and horizontal sensitivity separately, but to me the fastest horizontal speed is too slow, and the slowest vertical speed is too fast, even if you set it to scroll 1 line at a time (in TweakUI or equivalent).-The mouse is good for situations where you don't want to disturb anyone. The buttons do have an audible click, but they are all very faint except for the scroll-wheel/button 3.Note: This review is of a refurbished unit

Cons: - Off switch only works with dongle.- Non-clicky wheel causes problems.

Pros: - Bluetrack works as promised.- Comfortable if right handed.- Excellent signal strength.- No drivers needed.- Price when on sale.
Comment:
I like my current wireless keyboard/mouse combo, but sometimes I need more precision than a thumb operated trackball allows. Because I'm doing a lot more PC work from my home theater room (with a big screen TV and comfy recliner, who wouldn't?) I needed something that would work on any surface. The new Bluetrack technology works exactly as promised in this regard. I've played with several mice, some red laser and some optical, and all of them tended to have trouble on fabrics. My pet peeves are the off switch, which you can only use by placing the USB receiver dongle into the bottom of the mouse. The other peeve is the wheel. I hate mouse wheels that don't click when spun. This tends to cause problems for me in certain programs. For example, when I try to middle click a link in Firefox, the wheel is so loose that the act of clicking makes the page scroll. In 3ds Max, spinning the wheel zooms, while holding it down pans. I end up zooming when I'm trying to pan which is VERY annoying.Despite these peeves, I am happy with it. How could I not be when I only had to pay a sale price of $13? I plugged the receiver dongle into a computer located on the other side of my home. Despite the distance and walls, the mouse had no trouble communicating with its receiver. Your mileage may vary though, especially if you live in a place with lots of interference, like an apartment complex.Would I buy it again? Probably not this specific mouse, but definitely one that had Bluetrack. Microsoft has a couple of other mice that use this technology, and they have also been working towards giving customers a choice between clicky vs non-clicky wheels all in one mouse. If your not picky about how your mouse wheel behaves, then this mouse is for you.
