Cons: Started registering double clicks with only one click (after only one year)

Pros: Great trackingLove the sensitivity adjustment optionsFits beautifully in my palm, glides effortlessly
Comment:
Loved this mouse for a year and even put my G7 away in favour of this. Absolutely great mouse until it started double clicking when I click once - making it pretty much unusable. Read on-line and you'll find I'm not the only one with this issue. Time to hit up the support website. A wired mouse that costs this much should really have higher quality switches inside....

Cons: no such thing as one size fits all ergonomic, a bit light/not sturdy feeling as i'd like.

Pros: great tracking, very responsive buttons, nice cord, well designed
Comment:
really like the mouse, but i wish it came in a size large, hah. i don't have super large hands, but it's definitely not perfect for me. i have to find a balance between control and comfort still. if i can find something similar that's about 20% bigger i would love that.oh btw I am a 6 foot tall white male. and here i'll even give a bit of hand measurements in case that helps anyone:wrist to middle finger tip: 7.5 inches. main fingers about 4 inches long from base knuckle. larger than average thumbs.

Cons: I cannot buy enough for all of my friends

Pros: Comfortable with Extensive Usage

Throughout the years, I own almost all models of the Logitech mouse. Coming from a die hard Logitech fan, this Ikari is the best mouse I (a palm grip user) ever use. Steel Series is having a "Lend a Helping Hand" to Japan's Red Cross Relief Fund. 25% of the company's proceeds goes to help Japan survivors. This is just the kind of company I enjoy supporting. (Not sure about the forum rules, so I won't post link.)

Cons: - May take time to adjust to (as with any new mouse)- Minor installation issues

Pros: - Very comfortable- Sleek simple design- Handy on the fly DPI settings- Well laid out button scheme- Easy to use software
Comment:
I waited for about a week to really review this product. I felt that it would not be giving it a fair shake if I only gave first impressions.I had been looking for a new mouse for quite awhile now, and I finally chose to go with this Ikari laser, especially since it was on sale at the time. The simple no-frill design that Steelseries has is what attracted me the most. Coming from a Microsoft laser mouse, there wasn't too big of a difference from the tracking, but it was still very smooth and accurate. I found the laser to remain tracking even if lifted about 2-4mm above the tracking surface, which is great if you need to centre the mouse again. I personally use a slower DPI with a big mousing surface, so while I tried out the nifty high DPI settings, I was comfortable around 1050-500 DPI. The teflon pads on the bottom cover a very surface area, so the Ikari is always stable. It did however take several days to get used to the ergonomics of the mouse - I had previously known that I had a "palm" grip style, so I figured the Ikari was perfect. Turns out I'm probably half and half, but within a few days I was getting used to having my hand so spread out. Now that I'm fully adjusted to the mouse however, I'm quite happy with the product. The buttons on the Ikari are very well laid out and easy to reach, with no excessive buttons that get in your way, even when adjusting your hand. I did however have to get used to how sensitive the left and right (right specifically) buttons are; I found myself accidentally right-clicking frequently at first. There isn't a loud audible click in this mouse, so it can be difficult to hear the feedback on the Ikari. The provided software is great, and is super easy to use. You can import other DPI profiles as well. The LCD screen on the base of the mouse tells you which profile you have selected too, which comes in handy. As for lighting, the white LED light on the side of the mouse indicating high-DPI or low-DPI is the only visible light from this mouse. It's very subtle, and if you don't like a flashy mouse, like most high end gaming offerings out there, Steelseries is certainly the way to go.My only problem with this mouse was some minor installation issues. The Ikari's USB did not recognize any USB 3.0 ports I had free, so I had to use another USB 2.0 port. I'm not sure if this is just me, or a universal Ikari thing, but it's minor either way. After I had the driver up and running, the mouse worked and still works wonderfully. As I said previously, I would certainly recommend the Ikari laser to anyone looking for a nice gaming mouse without all the tacky lights, sounds, and marketing around it. Overall it's well built, well designed, and comfortable with any "palm" type grip user. Extended sessions of use (10+ hours) leave no cramping, and I'm sure I'll be using this mouse for years to come.

Cons: mouse laser is broken and jitters when not touched.

Pros: decent design, good reviews*
Comment:
i bought the ikari laser to replace my ikari optical which also broke (bought that one at my local pccyber and returned it there)i notice the cursor jitters byitself on my desktop and thought it was a driver issue but it turns out its not. (it cant be the surface because im using a steelpad... and my deathadder worked fine on it) it was passed 30days so i couldnt return it to ncix so i filed for RMA at steelseries. it took about a month for RMA to finally respond and the shipping to return it is $25bux so i nerd raged and threw it in the garbage. will never purchase another steelseries product again. kinda sad because i have their headphone keyboard and mousepad.

Pros: ComfortNice colourGreat tracking
Comment:
Just got this mouse today, and it's awesome. The feel of it and the way your hand rests on it is just great! There's also a lot of teflon so it glides very smoothly. One thing that does annoy me though is that my thumb sometimes lies on top of the cpi indicator and it feels awkward.

I bought this to replace my aging Logitech G5 (1st gen - th one with only one thumb button). It has a really great shape that perfect for my small to medium sized hand. I prefer to cup the entire mouse with my palm (as opposed to the claw grip) and it's shaped perfectly for that. For people who prefer the claw grip it might not be the right shape.Buttons are relatively quiet and the scroll wheel is precise. I don't use the CPI switching but it may be useful for some. I play FPS, RTS, and RPG games and the mouse is great for all of these genres. It was a little pricey (thank you NCIX for pricematching!) but if it lasts as long as my G5 did (4 years) then it'll definitely be worth it.

Cons: I've never been a fan of wired mouses, but the wire on this one is very sturdy and long.

Pros: Always been a fan of Logitech. Owned the Mx710 ,G3 and G5. Ikari is no different. In fact, so far, it's better than Logitech. The ability to set the Dpi on the fly is great.
Comment:
I play a lot of FPS's and so far it has lived up to the expectations. It was quick and easy to install.

Cons: No side-scrolling on the mouse wheel (also a good thing to keep it smooth and low profile). The High/Low CPI LED indicator is kind of bright, may be distracting, nothing close to what a Razor mouse is like though. :P

Pros: VERY Comfortable, Change the CPI pre-sets on the mouse itself, low profile smooth scrolling mouse wheel, large comfortable surface (did I say that already?), and it glides well too.
Comment:
VERY Comfortable, I was weary about how wide it is, but it is great, as there is support for your ring and pinky fingers so they are not dragging on the pad slowing you down. I also love how the right side is longer at the end, because your middle finger is actually longer. Why did it take so long for a manufacturer to figure that one out?The clicking on it is great, that alone seems to have dropped my reaction time. It is smooth, and does not require as much pressure as other mice (G5, Launchesis). The mouse wheel is also low-profile compared to the G5, similar to the Launchesis actually. It is smoother, making changing weapons easier. It does not have side-scrolling, but I don't really miss that feature I use once a blue moon, compared to the improvement over the wheel itself. The glide is great, using it with a SteelPad 5L, that bit of extra padding (they are actually black) that the G5 has really seems to make a difference.Changing CPI on the mouse is SO easy (hold the button till you see it show numbers on the screen, then use the scroll wheel, even supports acceleration for big changes. This sounds lame, but when you first get the mouse, you really need to re-tune your settings. Having the ability to do this in-game without minimizing, changing it, then going back in is so handy. Plus, this is all saved on the mouse, so it will work on any computer without drivers. (only really useful for different profiles or setting up macros, but that's why you have a G15 keyboard. :PThere was a note suggesting putting this into the back of a computer, instead of in a hub, as the 40,000 samples per second may overload the bus. The cable is 2m (6.3 feet) so it should reach most places with some extra slack.Overall, I am REALLY impressed with this mouse. I haven't been the biggest fan of Razor compared to the G5 from Logitech, but after hearing from multiple places that this is worth it, I finally caved and made the switch. I already see my accuracy increasing, and my response time dropping. I had no idea it would make such a difference. The price is kind of steep, but if you really care about your game performance (or just love a good quality, well thought-out product), it is more than worth it. I just can't stand using my G5 on my laptop anymore, I almost want to order a second to take around with me. :)

Pros: Extremely Comfortable.Responsive mouse clicks.Simple Installation. No software bloatware running in the system tray.Very small software package (6mb) that is only used to store settings on the mouse.Well positioned thumb buttons.

I have come from a very long line of Logitech Cordless Mice. My next step was going to be a G9 (from MX revolution). I thought I would go a different direction, and I could not be happier I did. The responsiveness blows my MX revolution out of the water. I always told myself that I would never buy a corded mouse again because I hate cords. The cord on this mouse doesn't bother me 1 bit.

Cons: Back button, dirt in sensor

Pros: Comfortable, smooth, attractive, excellent resolution
Comment:
I bought this to replace my trusty old mx510. At first glance it's an easy 5-stars, but having lived with it for a month a couple of issues have cropped up: The back button intermittently goes back 2 pages at a time - highly irritating! More problematic is dust in the laser. Compared to the 510 (which I may have cleaned 3 times in it's entire life) this mouse stops tracking (and I mean stops!) with even the tiniest bit of dust in the laser - I find I'm blowing it out every 3-5 days.On the plus side, the ergonomics are the best I have seen (for my large hands at least). Button placement is excellent and the big pads really glide well. And of course the sensitivity is fantastic - it tracks like a champ at all speeds, and the resolution button on top makes for quick changeover when needed.

Pretty much my Deathadder started making me angry. It's mouse feet wore out fast, it was warped, and the scroll wheel started to squeek. Time for a new mouse. A friend of mine waited months for these to come into stock, and when he got his, I tried it out. Didnt even need to game with it to feel how comfortable it was. I bought this the next day, and it is simply put the best mouse I have ever owned. SO smooth, so perfect. It tracks very very well, and there is so much teflon on the bottom those pads will never wear out. more than the logitech G5
