Cons: Button above middle mouse button isn't actually a mouse button

Pros: Comfortable, good precision, very well designed
Comment:
Was looking forward to the extra button in the middle, but it turned out it wasn't actually usable as a button and just turned the speed of the mouse between high and low.But that's the end of my disappointment with this mouse. It moves nicelyThe scroll wheel is perfect with nice feedbackThe mouse is almost perfect in size This review was modfied by poster @ 10-10-13 09:36 PM

Bought this for my brother and he likes it. Tracking is great and precise, nice little upgrade from a generic mouse.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Pros: Works great, feels great, looks great, good features and no bloat.

Despite the photo this is a glossy black; however, I would hesitate in calling it completely glossy, which is nice as it doesn't show fingerprints, etc. This is a great, simple desktop mouse. I haven't had any problems with it, and it is much nicer to use than my old generic Microsoft laser mouse it replaces. Being able to switch the samples per inch setting with the quick push of a button has proved far more useful than I could have ever imagined. It's great for photo editing/graphics work, CAD, and the occasional game I play. It moves smoothly, click feels great, and the wheel feels good. Many high end mice look tacky to me, this one is beautiful in it's simplicity. The only problem I have had with this mouse was minor. When I first connected it, it worked fine before installing the "steelengine" (the drivers and macro software for it). However once installing that software the mouse would always double click when pressed, which was quite frustrating. This is an error in the firmware my mouse shipped with, and is only present when set to the highest polling rate option. Lowering the polling rate allowed the mouse to function perfectly again, then updating the firmware (super easy through the included software) allowed me to use the max polling rate again if I desired. I can't really fault the mouse for a software glitch that was fixed immediately without any drama. There is a very similar version of this mouse that includes some discrete additional buttons on the side, if you are into gaming, particularly FPS's that version may be better for you.

Overall a great mouse! One of the best for the price, if you are looking for a gaming mouse below the 50$ range, look no more.

Cons: Lack of side buttons - but not a con for me as I almost never use them.

Pros: Beautiful responsiveness. No nonsense design. Good feeling rubber scroll wheel/button. Good steelseries mouse software. The mouse itself has a memory to retain settings even if you move it between computers without the steelseries software.
Comment:
I wanted a no nonsense old school mouse for gaming that was good for a claw grip and didn't have a million buttons. Loving this mouse so far.

Cons: None

Pros: Glides really smoothEasy to use software
Comment:
I experienced both the v1 and v2 and I can say for a fact that the v2 is moves really smoothly. It is a perfect mouse for people who like to claw grip or prefer a smaller mouse size. The one thing I don't like personally is the glossyness. However, if you like the glossy touch to it or not, I'd strongly recommend giving this mouse a try.
