The lock is not bad for the price, the feature that I like the most is the anti-tamper seal, if someone tried to pick the lock a red dot will appear in the locking mechanism preventing it from opening. However your key will not open it at this point and you will have to call Kensington for instructions on how to open the lock (their rules, so make sure you register the PIN# on your set of keys). The lock it self is a little under-built in my opinion, the cable is not as thick as I thought it would be. However, like any lock, it will only keep honest people from taking your laptop. If someone really wanted to take it they would cut the cable and it's gone.
