Cons: -not sure if I'd pay 85$ again for it

Pros: -high quality all around-very sturdy and well built-will clearly outlive us all-very simple, pleasing design, nothing unnecessary-keypresses are crisp and reflexive-no annoying LEDs or extra features/software
Comment:
This is an amazing keyboard, but I don't know if it's 85$ amazing. And by that I mean I don't see how any keyboard anywhere could be worth 85$ or more. This thing is great to type on and play games with, but so was my 8$ Microsoft keyboard. Am I experiencing a 77$ difference? I'd say not really. Still, top of the line keyboard. Would give five stars if not for the price.

Cons: -non-standard layout, short shift and awkward enter key-the large keys (shift, tab etc.) have gotten squeaky and unresponsive but i fixed that with some wd40.

Pros: -heavy resistance if your looking for it as these are black cherry keys-very sturdy-clean design
Comment:
i didnt realize when i bought it but the short shift and enter key make it awkward to type on and really just annoying. ive since learned much more about cherry keys and black are not exactly the best for gaming. for the first few weeks of using it i noticed my forearms would get fatigued and fingers hurt if i used it too long. if i had to recomend a keyboard id say to find cherry brown, red or blue in that order. as they all require less force to press and provide a much easier typing experience.

Pros: Great keyboard!-Feel nice when you touch it-Heavy!-Feel durable!
Comment:
I would recommand this keyboard to anyone who wants a nice mechanical keyboard. This is my first one, but it feels great to have this kind of keyboard! If this keyboard dies( i hope in a couple of years) I will probably try the red keys, but black are great too, just a little bit hard to press on each key.

Comment:
I find this keyboard VERY comfortable to type on as I switched from a cheap membrane keyboard. Even when I'm typing at the wrong height it's still more comfortable. The Cherry MX Black switches are a bit hard to press down and get used to, but it helps in the long run as it's harder to accidentally press the wrong keys or two keys at once. I would recommend getting the Red keys though if your finger strength isn't that strong though, (I'm a pianist and a guitarist so I'm good. You do learn to not bottom out the keys, but the spacebar still sounds a lot louder than the rest of the keyboard. Overall great buy especially since I got employee pricing.

I bought this keyboard mainly for the fact that it is a mechanical keyboard. I also bought it because it's a clean keyboard and I got really surprised how a mechanical keyboard can improve your typing speed! Very good purchase.

Cons: dell keyboard?

Pros: mechanical, durable

looks exactly like a dell keyboard. but rebranded, I would recommend some other keyboard, due to the fact it's not keylit, it's durable too, but for that price, i would not buy it. it's just too expensive

Cons: -Noisy (I like it, but could bother some)-Heavy

Pros: -Nice finish-Robust-Good type feeling-Extremely responsive-Mechanical
Comment:
This one is a Tank, a nice and peaceful one.Made for gaming, it feels like it will not break, ever. The typing experience is outstanding comparatively to other keyboards i know. With this one, you are back on the IBM styled mechanical keyboards. It is noisy like the old secretary keyboards, but god it feels good when typing on it.One thing I realised, is that the space-bar finish becomes "shinier" after a couple month of use. The keyboard is heavy and will not move on your desk and will give you the latency performance required in-game.Definitively a Great buy.

Cons: Hard to engage keys [personal preference]

Pros: Hard to engage keys [personal preference]Durable labellingSimple designPure vicseral, tactile experience of typing.
Comment:
This is my first mechanical keyboard and I have to say - I'm disappointed in manufacturers switching over to that crappy membrane !h#$. This is what keyboards should be, much like most technology, a non-disposable tool. And a shame that consumers accept the $0.99 mouse and keyboard combo with their computer bundle - only to toss the POS to the curb after it kicks out. The IBM Model M [a mechanical] is still being bought up like hotcakes because of its design and durability. Why not develop a long lasting relationship with your keyboard? Das, Filco, et al. are doing the right thing. This is not just a review of this keyboard - but mechanicals in general. Get one. Save up your money and get one. Any one - Blues, blacks, reds, whatever - just get a damn mechanical keyboard. If I had to start all over again to build a computer from scratch - a mechanical would be the VERY first thing I would get. 6 mudda f!h#ing stars for mechs.

Cons: no macros, cherry black switches

Pros: good construction, good rubber feet
Comment:
I bought this 3 months ago and i can see the good and bad in this keyboard. First, im not too much of a fan of the cherry black switches as they require quite a fair amount of finger strength to push down. (becomes noticeable after a prolonged period of typing) Second is that there is lack of macros keys for this keyboard considering this is labeled as a "gaming keyboard" what i do like about this keyboard is its solid frame build, and the rubber feet which keeps it from sliding.

Cons: Quite heavy

Pros: Excellent build quality
Comment:
The build for the keyboard is really good. It seems that the build for the keyboard will last multiple years without many failures. The keyboard uses black switches which require a bit of force to press down with and produces a bump when you fully hit the switch. I recommend this to anyone looking to get a mechanical keyboard but minds it to be a little on the quieter side. Black switches are far more quiet than blue switches.

Cons: - While the build quality is generally very good, the keycaps are a little on the cheap side. The paint is already wearing off my WASD and surrounding keys, and it's only been three weeks of moderate use.- I would have like to see the braided cord common on so many steelseries products, but this shouldn't be a big issue since keyboards don't get moved around as much as other peripherals.

Pros: - Great build quality on the board itself - nice and heavy.- Good price for a mechanical keyboard- I love the minimalist look of this board, and the white LED's are a nice touch- Cherry black switches have a great bounce to them, and are nice for gaming & typing, assuming you don't have weak fingers- I quite like not having a windwos key on the bottom left, since it's an annoying thing to hit while gaming, and it's not exactly a pain in the but to have to use the windows key on the right instead. The Steelseries key works well with the media controls.- It sounds great to type on! It has a nice audible sound to it, but it's not that irritating clicky sound that is so common among mechanical keyboards
Comment:
All in all, this is an outstanding keyboard. Give yourself some time to get used to the Cherry black switches and you'll be pleased. They take a little more effort to hold down, but it you grow accustomed to bouncing your fingers off them rather than pressing and holding, you'll probably find that your typing speed increases noticeably(mine did, and I was no slouch before this board). My only complaint is the quality of the paint on the keycaps - it's an odd problem for a boared that is of otherwise outstanding build quality. Someone at steelseries dropped the ball there. However, if you poke around online, you'll see that replacement caps can be purchased (at a fairly cheap price) if you find that you need to in the future.Oh, and concerning the smaller right shift button. I have a weak right pinky and have learned to type using only the the left shift, so I can't really comment on how inconvenient it might be to use it. It's like the board was custom made for me!

Cons: Keys are cheap and fragileBotton left is a "Steelseries touch", not a windows button like every other keyboard on the planet for pc

Pros: Nice keypress feeling
Comment:
I used a 1995 keyboard for over 10 years without problem. That samsung keyboard went to the dishwasher at least 3 times after all kind of incidents. I regret that 15$ keyboard. After a year of use my I key is slack, it can now rotate and can be nudge to the left or to the right. There is no windows key on the left. This is extremely annoying. I've remapped Caps Lock on it but it doesn't feel natural.Otherwise typing is good with compact design.I ordered it over a year ago and can no longer find my invoice number but I would otherwise give less than 3 stars to this overpriced junk

I couldn't go into bios with my old keyboard so I bought this one with a ps2 support and it works fine. sometimes I hit the / key instead the right shift. I guess I'll have to get used to it with practice. it's also a little thicker than my old keyboard and the keys travel is deeper. again it's something I'll have to get familiar with time. Otherwise it's a good keyboard. ps the noise is not loud, slightly louder than my old one.

Cons: - moved key and thus unusable right-shift- stupid SteelSeries key cannot be remapped to Windows key

Pros: - great switches and feel- solid construction- small size
Comment:
Was really looking forward to using this keyboard, but didn't notice the layout changes Steelseries decided to make. I'm not a huge gamer, but was just looking for a good mechanical keyboard I could get locally.Unfortunately while this keyboard feels great and the price was right, I will be returning it. The layout changes make it pretty much unusable for my daily use. No Windows key is a showstopper, and the right shift being unusable from homerow is pretty annoying too.

Getting used to this keyboard playing SC2. I do feel a noticeable 'snappiness' (for a lack of word to describe  the feeling) to the keystrokes. I have yet to type long text/essays or program on this keyboard but I can't wait. Not to mention, this is a huge upgrade over a crappy 20$ Microsoft keyboard. Overall, this was a great buy.
