Juste avant de commencer, je vous suggère de l'acheter sur dytronix plutot que ncix, car 1: vous ne devez pas attendre 2 semaines et 2: il est moins cher et le shipping est seulement de 5$ en express. Maintenant que c'est fait parlons de vista. Vista est un os correcte, déstabilisant au début pour quiquonque ayant toucher un xp ou autre, car 1: il est fait pour les idiots 2: il est fait par des idiots.Je pense cependant que vista 64 bit est un mal pour un bien, mieux vaut s'y mettre maintenant pour le futur. J'avoue que j'aurais installer window xp 64bit sur mon nouvel ordi, mais je voulais être prêt pour le futur des jeux vidéo et surtout avoir plus de 4gb de mémoire vive. Mais c'est surtout parce que je trouvais pas de version oem de window xp 64 en français haha. Côté compatibilité, je n'ai eu qu'un seul problème majeur et c'était ma carte réseau ethernet, j'ai du la remplacé pour 40$ après avoir fait 3 magasins pour trouver quelque chose de compatible avec ce truc. sinon côté logiciel c'est plutôt bien, je vous suggère fortement de l'installer sur un ordi avec des parties récentes uniquement (il draine 1gb de ram ). Je vous suggères aussi de passer directement à la version 64 bit , car le 64 bit est le futur et il ne fait aucune différence avec le 32bit sauf si vous utilisez des programmes du siècle dernier-10 ans en 16 bit lol.En conclusion, après 1 bonne semaine de tweak et de changement, je trouve que vista ressemble bcp a xp version stupide. Par chance, je ne l'ai pas trouver bugger comme certaine personne, quoique je du downloader 149 patch lol. Quoiqu'il en soit, si vous avez utilisé millenium pendant 1 mois, vous serez capable de toucher à vista 64bit pour 1 siècle.

Vista is one awful product. I only bought Vista to play Halo 2 and now after my experiences with it, I'm going back to XP. Bad drivers, very buggy, etc.

Not to start another XP vs VIsta, but heck... I hope SP1 will make this OS faster. The best advice I'll give for now will be " STICK WITH XP" , unless you don't have choice. If it's the case, the first thing to do is to disable UAC to get rid of most the annoyances related to the so-called "security". It's back on shelf now, waiting for SP1 to be released. In the meantime, I bought a new WinXP Pro key to be able to use my new PC with something else than Linux :P2/5stars . Oddly, I must give an order# when I'm giving 2 stars and it doesnt work!

The only downside to an OEM copy is that you might not be able to switch this from computer to computer, since it's OEM, M$ will not give you another activation # for another computer.But the price is good, and everything is the same. I would have never upgraded at retail prices :O

Installing an OEM version of Vista can be hazardous to the health of you current install. I tried to install Vista on the second partition of my secondary drive. It formatted the C: partition !!!!So if you install this, use a clean drive, and unplug any other drive that have important data on them, so Vista won't wipe them clean !
