Sounds truly fantastic, good crisp highs. Drivers are garbage still. Often when you choose DDL decoder, and play BC2, you hear an particularly annoying echo. This is a definite improvement over my old X-Fi Xtremegamer card. I am hearing detail in my games, motion pictures and music that I never heard ahead of. The bass specifically is considerably nicer. I drive my Audio Technica ATH-A700 headphones with this card and they have never sounded so great! I am extremely impressed. Operates really nicely with Windows 7, as opposed to my Xtremegamer which often gave me headaches. Creative has finally got it right! A tiny expensive, but you get what you spend for! Make certain you have an unused and unblocked PCI-e slot for this! It is listed as PCI-e x1 but you can use an x4, x8 or x16 slot as well.

For these of you who are concerned about the toslink cables that come with the card... you can use any optical cable with it. You will just have to choose up a toslink adapter.
