This cell phone is an excellent phone and an excellent PDA. It functions quickly and efficiently. I had a tmobile MDA previous and am much happier with this one. The scroll wheel is intuitive and easy to use. My only beef is that you can only look at one program at a time, so you cannot look at your calendar when talking on the phone. The sync function is excellent!! |

This phone was purchased for my teen son. It's a Blackberry - you know kids love name brand items. My co-worker even was excited when he saw I'd gotten my son a Blackberry. I purchased the blue phone as it was $20 less than the black phone and the black phone was delivered instead. I think the phone may have been refurbished and not new. I had to download the Getting Started Guide as the one included was just a sheet of paper with four random pages on the one sheet. The holder that was included does not fit the phone or at least it is a very tight fit. So tight that the keys get pressed when trying to slide the phone into the holder. |

I've tried the more expensive Blackberries but this one is so much nicer and easier to use. The scroll is far more efficient than the trackball on the newer models and the only feature I really need is bluetooth which this has so I'm good with my 7290! |

Pros: Price, like portable pc, qwerty keyboard has comfortable feel. Cons: Resolution & web picture is poor; not compatible with high resolution software like Yahoo!Go; scrolling wheel can only go left/right. Ring tone mono. |

This is my first purchase from TigerDirect. I am very happy with the product, the site and the easy navigation though I wish they would provide detailed specifications of the product. PROs: -It's an excellent phone, good reception, many features for a great price. -It’s a quad-band GSM/GPRS phone with Bluetooth and email facility(yet to test Bluetooth, email). -Color screen clarity is excellent, have no difficulty in reading it even when background light is off. -Battery lasted for about 4 hours of talk time. Major CONs: -This does not have a speaker facility to play it loud e.g. during a conference call. -No predictive text/T9 input, but Qwerty keypad helps a bit. -The phone does not have voice dialing. Minor CONs: -Only monophonic rings available, feels odd to listen to it if you are used to polyphonic ring tones. -No camera and user manual. Overall, knew that the phone is an old Blackberry model and would lack some features of the newer models but got it anyway. Love it |
I purchased the black version of this phone. I really like the full keyboard and the simplicity of the phone compared to the newer blackberry models. This model does not have a speaker phone which would have been nice. The battery lasts a heck of a lot longer than the new Pearl. The screen is not as sharp as the new models but it does the job. This phone has the thumb wheel which was the best invention ever, I don't know why they replaced it with that track ball on the newer models. My only complaint is that the phone I received was pre-owned. It had someone's emails, address book, mother's name, all that, so I had to wipe the memory before using it. Other than that this blackberry is really nice. It is all-business without all the unneeded frilly things on the new models.
