Cons: None for me. I don't care about USB3.

Pros: Quad-crossfire capable.On-board power/reset buttons.Near-perfect layout.Five fan headers.

Wow what a great board. They can't stay in stock at this price.I have four of these, they run stable 24/7.This is THE perfect test bench motherboard.

Cons: older chipset without newer standards

Pros: price, features

This board is a steal, the only thing it's missing is USB3. Makes an excellent board for a GPU folding farm. Also an excellent workstation/tech bench board. Too bad AMD CPU offerings aren't incredibly competitive.

Cons: Northbridge temps are high after OC (63c 1.22v idle)but this is probably due to my not being fully familiar with this bios.

Pros: Great build quality, feels solid.Easy to navigate bios with a plethora of O/C tweaking options.Gamer friendly, X-fire your brains out.Very pleasing aesthetically, begs to be in a windowed case.Nice accessory package, ide, sata, crossfire bridges all good quality.
Comment:
This is my second build with MSI boards and I have to say I'm really impressed so far. This particular board is a steal at the price they're asking right now. Older chipset but still a great gaming board. Snap them up while you can, at this price they won't last.

Cons: -Have to update  the bios when using amd x6

Pros: -Excellent motherboard-Lots of options-Lots of cables included-Mini board status LCD screen
Comment:
Very nice motherboard that I would recommend to everyone. The only complaint I have is that it comes with an older version of the bios not compatible with amd phenom 2 x6 (and NCIX sells it in a bundle deal with this card...). So you have to upgrade the bios. Once you know this is the problem, it is pretty easy to do, but you first have to figure out why your cpu is sooo slow. At least, NCIX should include a notice saying that the bios will need to be upgraded.Appart from that, excellent motherboard, plenty of options for the price, I don't think you can find a better deal right now.

Pros: PriceQualityFeatures
Comment:
Great motherboard for the price. It worked great out of the box except for the recognition of a x6 AMD processor. It needed a BIOS upgrade to recognize the 1055t cpu. The bios update  was incredibly easy to do. All you have to do is hop onto msi website, download the newest bios. Extract the files to a fat32 usb drive. Restart your pc, go into bios. Then there is an option to update  the bios from usb. Presto, worked like a charm.

Cons: For the not tech savvy this level of features might be too much. But for the person who wants to squeeze every last ounce for OC this is a power users board period. The 790 ultra boards are the same way when not setup right. All ram must be planned in advance for the specs of ddr3 boards. If you OC on this board you need AMD approved ram such as the OCZ amd edition or Patriot AMD 790FX tested. Mushkin and Corsair also make like products.

Pros: I work on computers every day for me this stuff comes natural. Most of the complaints I read are from not reading the instructions or lack of computer expertise that A+ or higher professionals like me already do all the time. The OC dial does not work until you enable it in the bios for the guy below. Clear cmos works if you hold the button in while power is on. The amd 965 works with version 1.4 bios. I am typing on it now.
Comment:
I will pass on that although MSI says this will run at 2000+ the bios is set at 1:4 which is 1600 mhz max. Maybe when version 1.5 comes out this will change. The crosshair 3 is the same way. 1600 down to 1066 ddr3 dual channel work best. This is a great board when setup right. Much smoother than the I7 rigs that are 2 arms and 3 legs.

Cons: 8 Pin power should face up not out. It was a pain to get it in.Ram is placed in the adjacent slot and not skipped.

Pros: Tons of featuresGreat O'CCrossfire is pure bliss

Overall a fantastic board. This thing is loaded with features and it came with the newest bios installed. It worked with the 965BE G.skill ram and 2x4890's straight out of the box. I would have liked USB 3 and Sata 3 but its not available yet with 4 pci-e so I got this and I am very happy.

Cons: hmmmmm.... on board led light color options maybe? lol dunno had to think of something... seriously nothing i can think of.

Pros: if you are a heavy gamer and love to push the limits of your system to the max or just learning how to overclock this is the board for you. Aside from some dud ram issues i had upon initial build this board works flawlessly so far. Super nice looks and it backs up those looks with what it can do.
Comment:
Works great with my Phenom 965 BE, Rosewill 950W PSU and stays chilly with my OCZ Vendetta II CPU cooler. Graphics are smokin with a single Geforce 250 Graphics card. Still waiting on my dud ram to be sent back to me... taps my foot.

Well, this is simply the best motherboards I've ever owned (I've owned about 10) and I can say that with confidence. I never really liked MSI... I always stayed away from them but now I'm quite impressed. I'd watch reviews on youtube to get a real scope of how sick this motherboard really is. Pros: 4 pcie slots and the capability to run an inexpensive cpu, perfect for a folding box.

Bought this to build a dedicated folding box and it works very well. Not too many mobos out there with this many pcie slots so it is a natural for the job.

Cons: SATA connector placement.

Pros: Great looking board4(!!) PCI-e slotsSerious overclocking capabilities
Comment:
Very good motherboard for the AMD gaming enthusiast. The layout of it is very well-designed, but I found the majority of the SATA connectors are a pain to connect to (maybe just me, but I prefer the regular connectors facing upwards, not sideways). The BIOS has so many settings, it's ridiculous, which is good for the overclocking junkies out there. Overall, this is a very good board. I wish it had SLi support, with the 4 card slots and all, but that's not worth complaining about too much.

Cons: - 2 SATA ports could be blocked by long graphics cards- No angled SATA cables included with a good assortment of accessories

Pros: + 4-way Crossfire+ Great colour scheme+ Good layout for connectors+ Good number of included accessories, including locking SATA cables+ Great for an open bench with onboard power buttons
Comment:
Great looking board with lots of overclocking potential. The only complaint would be that 2 of the SATA ports are upright on the motherboard, instead of 90 degrees and on the edge like the other 6, so they might be blocked by long cards.

Cons: Filling 4 slots comes with a price; Stock Bios doesn't allow unlocking of 720be cores.

Pros: 4 Slots; Great Price; Premier chipset; OC dial
Comment:
Picked this up as my first foray back into AMD's world since they dropped S939, and I have to say I'm impressed. Great price for such a full featured board.Hardware installation was painless, but using the first PCIe slot would block the only PCIe X1 slot, the second slot would have the GPU covering the NB (SB?)heatsink (poor airflow), the third PCIe X16 slot would cover over the digital display, and the last slot can only accept a single slot card. Overall, not a single "perfect" slot to use for a single card setup, but I suppose that's the trade-off for having 4 slots. The on-board buttons are great (especially for an open testbed), and as a bonus they've even included an HDD LED. Not only does the LED display show the standard "post" codes, once it's up and running it also displays cpu temps (It's off a degree or two from coretemp so I'm assuming it's coming from the bios as opposed to directly from the cpu).Overclocking on the board is everything I was hoping for. So far I've managed a fully stable 3660 on my 720be w/ a NB speed of 2400+, and the memory at around 1600 (loose timings, but that's next on my list of things to play with), and there's still a lot more room to play. IMO the AM3 platform is a dream for those of us who enjoy the process of attaining the highest possible OC. A typical OC is easy to get with the board, but there are always more possibilities to squeeze out a few more seconds/points for your benchmarking pleasure. So far my attempts at unlocking the 4'th core of my 720be have met with mixed results... I can unlock the core, but it hangs XP while attempting to load up the Nvidia video drivers. I'm able to boot into windows if I uninstall the vid card drivers and rely on the stock windows drivers. I suspect it's a bus voltage issue as I was able to make the same issue go away during a 3 core overclock, but so far haven't gotten over that hurdle. (yet more tweaking fun ahead of me).All in all, I'm quite pleased with this product. Wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars as it's good enough for that, but the limitations (understandable) of the PCIe slot positions prevent me from giving it a perfect score. (now if only I'd purchased the board after the 5'th of august I'd be eligable for the vid card giveaway.... ).

Cons: 4 PCI-E slots

Pros: Awesome OCerLEDs and POST info4 PCI-E slotsToo much to name
Comment:
I'm actually giving this board 4 1/2 stars simply because it's strong 4 slots is also a weakness because of the layout of the board wherever you decide to install your GPU your going to have to give up an option because it will hide something on the board. Spent 5 mins looking for a CMOS battery only to realize it was hiding behind my GPU ...But otherwise awesome board, great OCer, lots of BIOS options, comes with a power and reset button on the board itself, great for a workbench. Had to upgrade the drivers to get all my stuff working but MSI website was easy to use! Very happy with it!

Excellent motherboard with nice features and massive expandability. The little overclocking dial on the board is very interesting to play with. Maybe try the limits of the crossfire and a mad AMD cpu with a little bit dial control.
