Plug it in and start using media center with the remote in about 10 seconds. I wanted to be able to control my PVR system with it but the IR repeater portion didn't work well enough nor does Microsoft offer a program guide for my cable provider so it wouldn't work out for it anyway. Other than that it is a good product.

I bought this to replace a PCI tv tuner card. This allowed me to use a slim media pc case. I could not figure out how to use the ir blaster. The instructions are useless. But most of the features are self explanatory.

If you are using Windows Media Center, this is definitely a must have. You can program Universal Remotes to work with the receiver. I couldn't be happier with this product.

Works great but remote feels very cheap. Almost feels like its hollow, but works very well. Useless intructions in about 20 languages but no documentation on buttons on remote. Now I can control Media Center without mouse and that is all that I really wanted.

Installed with no problems. IR Booster worked great. Can control Shaw Satellite Box remotely on my PC. Using Win 7. No documentation for remote control key functions which would have been useful. Media Center set-up was little more challenging.

I installed lirc using the lirc-mceusb drivers on Ubuntu amd64 9.1. Then fired up XBMC and it worked flawlessly. I can control all functions of XBMC with the package remote. Now I will try to train my Harmony 550 so I can use only one remote.

Had to select drivers for an eHome Infrared receiver under xp, but i'm now able to use the C0mc4st DTA boxes with MCE, and that was the point.

I just switched from BeyondTV to Windows Vista MC. My original USB-UIRT blaster (to control the set-top box) didn't work so I needed a Vista-compatible unit. This worked without a hitch, plugged it in and it worked. After years of fiddling with all sorts of HTPC hacks, this was a welcome change.

Worked without a hitch. No drivers to load. Just plugged it in and ran the setup for MCE. Could not have been easier.

100% plug and play. Plugged it in, Windows 7 64-bit automatically loaded the correct drivers. Started Windows Media Center, it recognized the IR device and all works perfectly.

Fun right out of the box, works flawlessly, even works using my Cablevision remote and xbox 360 extender. Wonderful addition to media center. No additional drivers needed with Windows Vista.

Dont require any drivers for Vista or Win7. Just plug and play. I mounted mine inside my HAF case with some fun tac and ran wires threw the water cooling ports.

I have two remotes, one that came with my TV tuner (and which does not work with Windows Media Center), and now this remote. Both work fine, but this one has all the bells and whistles and has been working for for the time I have had it so far. I would definitely recommend buying this remote for MCE.

Works out of the box for WinVista and worked after little effort for WinMCE2005. Completely and flawlessly integrates into the MC. And as usual this retailer rocks for price and value... :)

this will make vista media center work with your directv sattelite box to receive, change and record tv channels with a tv tuner. Also works to transfer recordings to Zune. You don't need to pay download fees. Took a few trys to get the channel setup to work right. This site was quick and affordable.

Works as promised, enables the computer to program the cable box. Price is reasonable and, as usual, Tiger Direct shipping and service are outstanding.

Works great in WinXP MCE with a little tweaking to some config files in Windows. Also works great with XBMC in Windows. And finally, it works out of the box with the XBMC live CD (Linux based). What can I say? It just works!

Bought this little gem of a remote to control Windows media Center on my HTPC. Works great. only downfall is that I had to use a 32bit copy of Vista for the 64bit version wouldn't play DVD's. Kept giving me a Codec's error. Tried to Hack into the Registry of Windows and a couple of other Tricks that I found on google. Still a no go. Once I installed 32bit Vista, this thing really shined then. Good Product.

does what it says. controls media center. also controls volume when not in wmc. has some limited controls with media player. works with my kworld tvtuner better than the software that came with the tuner. so far i've got nothing but good things to say about this product. it would be nice to be able to control most pc functions as the ati remote wonder does (when it works), but as far as doing what the product says i will say it does that.

Product works Great. You get what you pay for. Very VERY cheap feel to the remote. But at Tiger Directs price you really cant go wrong. It works as advertised, Nothing more and Nothing less. By Todays Stand on Advertising THAT SAYS SOMETHING.
