Fantastic card for older motherboards. It was verycompatable with what I necessary it for and runs nicely. This card is virtually out of date currently, but if you only have a PCI express slot its what you can use. |

At about 50$ retail It provides good efficiency in Hd video watching and overall a fantastic card for filmsIts great for older games such as Counter strike source/ Team fortress 2Low profileLow power usageQUIETDX 10. Newer Games Will struggle(COD4 Medium 1024x600 25 fps)NO HDMI PORTGames after 2008 will not run This card is very good for the average user hunting to get much better than on-board graphics. Its low profile so it fits nicely into these tiny media center computer boxes. Its not that expensive so user on a spending budget ought to appear here.GAMERS ought to appear elsewhere if looking to play modern day Games Post 2008 older games and Supply engine games will run flawlessly at medium resolutions |

Neweggs shipping was expedient and the card arrived in excellent shape. I also had no challenge with receiving a RMA issued. Sad to say just mainly because a card is advertised low profile doesnt imply it will fit your case. I have a Inspiron 530s and yes now 3 years right after i purchased it i realize i should have gotten anything additional upgradeable but we reside and learn and i have discovered alot given that acquiring this computer. This card was no where close to fitting. Im considering dell slim cases might be a bit slimmer than other folks. But these cons are my own and have absolutely nothing to do with new egg so no eggs off. I have sent the original Geforce 8400 for a refund and have purchased a visiontek 900196 2400 pro it should arrive shortly and from what i read it must improve my gaming efficiency at least a bit. I primarily play WoW and im seeking for far better FPS to get yet another year or two out of this pc since i plan on giving it to my son in a few months and building my personal gaming rig. Will post a evaluation on the visiontek 900196 when i get and install it. Had it fit im confident it would have exceeded my expectations. |

plays hd, windows 7 discovered drivers for me as quickly as i installed. general laptop or computer performance improve. being restricted with tiny power provide this has worked for me. properly your getting what you paid for. although i can now play sc2 and wow with out lag , all setting are still on low. after a couple of months the s-video stopd operating and the fan gave up just about immediatly. working with external cooling( a clip on fan) i was a computer system idiot when i purchased my computer and bought a tiny form element 220 watt personal computer. |

Newegg is refunding my money. Tried the integrated Win7 64 bit drivers, downloaded the latest, even downloaded beta. None of these drivers worked. I'm stuck with return shipping expense. I'd keep away from the 8400GS until Nvidia comes out with a 64bit driver that operates. |

Runs WOW and Guild wars on high detail smoothly, dirt cheep and fit in to my tiny situation. worked out of the box and is very quiet. im operating ubuntu linux and this cad came with linux assistance. most likely gonna get a different for sli had to drill a hole to screw it into the case. driver disk does not perform on linux, nor does the net website have linux drivers. had to get it at very best purchase. due to the fact i put it in my pc appears to take yet another thirty seconds or so to boot up. nevertheless it runs smoothly after booted. would have gotten five stars if the disk worked |

Performs as it ought to. None but. I bought this card back in 2008, and it`s still going powerful. The fan has been WD40`d a couple of times, but that`s about it. It was first installed on Vista, and now 7, both 32 bit. For a low end card it streams video smoothly, and can play older games. Looks like 64bit operating technique drivers are problematic with some, but that's Nvidia fault, don`t blame the card! |

installed with no problem none There are so several corporations making Nvidia geforce 8400 or other Nvidia cards. I assume all Nvidia gforce 8400s are the same. Some have 256megs, some 512.... It appears each and every time a get graphic cards there are constantly unique organizations names on them but in the finish Nvidia is Nvidia. It is like Ford and Mercury. Various name, but in the end exact same automobile. In the case of graphic cards, there are tons of brands. But an Nvidia gforce 8400 is a nvidia gforce 8400 |

Price tag and Newegg's service. Could not get the card to perform. Attainable DOA or other situation. The pc fails to boot when the new card is installed, but boots fine when the old card is. Couldn’t resolve due to the fact manufacturer technical help was non-existent. As numerous others have commented about this corporation, the so known as 24ǝ technical help line is laughable. When I attempted to call the supposed 24ǝ quantity all it did was ring endlessly until it went to a voicemail box, only for it to say that the mailbox was full and could not take any much more messages. Then I attempted to get in touch with them by way of the provided e mail address, but it was just as futile. All in all, I would recommend absolutely everyone to remain away from all goods from this corporation and I would advocate Newegg to discontinue carrying this corporation’s items.This evaluation is strictly on the card itself and the respective manufacturer technical assistance, not Newegg. However, I will say I have purchased several products from Newegg and they have repeatedly been rapid to ship and in the uncommon occasion if there is a difficulty like this they are equally fast to resolve it. |

Very rapidly, Clean, Affordable, Simple to install on all Windows.Has a fan. Fan can come easilly off balance, thus letting a heat wave totally fry it.It is not compatible with Flash 10.x by adobe, causes non page fault errors. Mother Boards with no video cards are a much better idea. who desires to fry a MB simply because they OC the GPUI? On the other hand, make confident your case has superior cooling for this unit. |

It functions, and Win 7 x64 didn't have any issues. I downloaded the newest drivers from the Galaxy internet site and every little thing performs as expected. The device is advertised as "Low Profile Prepared" but it does not come with a low profile backplate for the card. To make it perform in a tiny technique you have to take away the typical sized backplate and then leave the vga and dvi leads hanging out of the back of your pc case. I felt like this was false advertising. |

None, I never had a chance to even try it. The image clearly shows an s-video output but is not a single on the card itself. The principal reason I bought this card was for the S-video output and although there's one on the picture theres not one on the card itself. Following reading thru the spec's once more I see it's not listed having the output. Guess i should have read up on it just before going by the pics or maybe New egg must have, Anyway's I sent it back asap and now soon after reading these negative critiques and by no means hearing back from Galaxy or receiving an answer when i known as them I'm glad i did. Alot of persons won't make the stupid mistake I did by going by the pic's but I'm confident some will, CHEERS! |

None for me as it didn't perform. Nicely it did work for the BIOS POST. Does operate throughout POST (BIOS) but when Windows loads driver screen goes grey. Tried 3 revisions of driver and on two computers, and both RGB and DVI, exact same factor. Returned for refund. didn't want to take a likelihood on one more a single. Got a ASUS EN8400GS Silent from Newegg rather. Was even less expensive with rebate and works perfectly right off the bat. |

well, the top quality of the card seems to be very good. As superior as I'd anticipate from a card with 512megs of DDR2. The disc with the software was blank...as in no facts on it at all. This is problematic, as any person who's ever tried to get the appropriate software program from online knows. I'm able to use the card as it in now, so I'm not going to be too tough in this review...but W.T.F.?! If it's not a difficulty to get the software on the web, I'll make note of that, and adjust my ranking, otherwise, it stays. |
