Good board and feature set, with great technical suport and warranty. I've purchased many of these and all have had difficulties with HDMI HD display resolutions. On both 720p and 1080i/p displays the desktop resolution does not use the entire show.

AM3 assistance, DDR3 1333, Ati 4250 integrated. WiFi is also a plus worked from initial boot. Very nice board. Energy provide is nice, hope it lasts. Other than the tiny form issue, there is practically nothing to complain about right here. Strategy ahead with components your putting into this develop, the ITX kind factor might call for you to use low profile memory.

- Steady and not picky about RAM (takes two normal DDR3 DIMMs)- Every thing functions as it's supposed to (removed Wifi, so can't testify to its excellent, but the mini PCIe card can be replaced simply/cheaply if you don't like it).- No S3 sleep difficulties with Win 7 x64 like numerous other boards- Very low DCP latency with newest drivers- S/PDIF (TOSLINK)- sufficient USB ports (+internal headers)- each fan headers 4-pin (fan speed manage performs)- couldn't uncover an electrolytic capacitor on the board, all elements look decent (including heatsinks)- Overclocks reasonably nicely with quad core 95W CPU ƒ x 4GB DDR3 1333)- NIC supports jumbo frames- USB3 (works with updated firmware/drivers)- HDMI/DVI (both function)- 4 SATA III - no PCI-E x16 (big deal for gamers I guess)- no eSATA, but a single can use one particular a single of internal SATA ports with a bracket.- "only" 4 SATA ports - most likely not sufficient for a NAS Bought it for a buddy as a replacement for his dedicated Traktor DJ box that in no way actually worked that properly due to audio latency issues (also Phenom II/Zotac primarily based). This factor operates reliably with ASIO latencies set to 1ms (yes, 1ms!) ྸ bit) with a PCI-E audio board notorious for its latency problems Without any tweaking and with a complete installation of Windows 7 x64 (nothing removed, nothing tweaked). S3 sleep functions like a dream. Seems like a ideal board for a HTPC (with a 45ኝW CPU) or for a tiny common purpose Pc (with a 95W quad core). Obtaining had a quite negative luck with Zotac, I can't find a single important flaw in this 1. Let's hope it's as tough as it is very good. btw, I installed the most recent drivers for every single device and updated the firmware for the USB3 controller (I applied practically nothing from Zotac's website or the included CD).

Constructed in wifi card, HDMI, optical audio port and video high quality great for a modest htpc build. four SATA plug ins, descent passive cooling on bridges/chipset. Added PCI Express slot is a wonderful added feature. BIOS is not appropriately detecting three TB SATA drives, boot selections are combersome with a USB flash drive, flashing BIOS is a pain on this mobo and updated BIOS is nonetheless poor and nonetheless doesn't assistance my 3 TB drives. Small Linux assistance on this board. Will almost certainly end up returning this board. Attempted to communicate with customer service these days and conveniently got disconnected.

Constructed in WIFI and HDMI make it perfect for a HTPC, which is what I use it for. Employing this with a Athlon two X2 245 @ 2.9Ghz, and 4GB DDR3. Operates wonderful, has no challenges streaming HD content from an external supply (using USB Hauppauge HD PVR) or streaming/decoding HD videos over my residence network.DDR3, lots of sata ports. Has USB 3. which needs custom drivers (provided), but I havent been capable to use USB3 given that there are quite handful of devices that use it.This thing functions good jsut as advertised. Little Linux assistance. I was plannign on making use of Ubuntu + MythTV (or Mythbuntu, I tried each) but there were no drivers for the HDMI out. If I bear in mind suitable, the audio didn't perform and there was no propper drivers supplied (or third celebration drivers that I could uncover) that fixed this.On Windows 7, after installing the provided wireless drivers from the provided disk, the wireless speed decreased to a crawl. Uninstalled the drivers (and let Windows use its built in drivers) and anything was fine again. If you do use this as a HTPC, because teh antennas are on the back of the computer system and itll most likley be on an entertainment shelf, the wireless signal can quickly get shielded from all the wires that run back there. I had to fiddle with the antenna (there are two) till it got a signal powerful enough to stream 720p videos, but as soon as I did it was all good. If you have high bitrate or 1080p vids, you could want to run a network cable to the Computer unless the antennai will have a fantastic connection to the router.

Boots any OS and runs stable.Suspend/resume is fast!Wireless adapter (Atheros AR9285) is Linux-friendly, connects instantaneously just about every time.A lot of nonetheless consider that miniITX kind factor is for lame-CPU, low-power, low efficiency devices, not this a single! I’m using Phenom II 550BE 80watt CPU, which is beneath mobo max of 95w and still will allow for some overclocking. I’d say that a Callisto at 3.6GHz / 1.375V is a affordable upper limit for this mobo, that’s outstanding for a miniITX.I ran PassMark efficiency test and compared with ALL systems utilizing the similar CPU and GPU and this mobo benchmarks above average. The very first one particular had BIOS error beep codes Ƒ extended 2 short) so I sent it back. The 2nd one had the exact same so I termed Zotac and inquired. Apparently, in the Zotac globe BIOS beep codes are a Excellent factor and not errors! This mobo beeps with every USB device that it recognizes, so 1 beep for USB mouse, 1 beep for USB flash drive, and so on.BIOS boot menu will NOT show Linux-formatted USB flash drives, but will list Microsoft-formatted drives. So to boot Linux from USB flash you have to choose it as 1st boot device Rather of tough disk and tough disk will not longer boot until you adjust the BIOS once again.Incorrectly runs memory (G.Ability F3-12800CL9-2GBNQ) at 1.62V and CR = 2T instead of 1.5V and CR = 1T, and BIOS does NOT let shifting DDR3 voltage or command rate!Vcore constantly shows Ӭ.84V even when running CPU at 3.6GHz, which is impossible of program. Intelligent FAN will only control PWM fans so you have to use manual % for three-pin fans. There’s a blinking LED right next to the PCIE x1 slot not talked about in the manual, if somebody figures out what it is pls let us know.Despite the Mickey Mouse BIOS this mobo functions effectively. The 550BE feels snappier in high-performance mobos, this Zotac feels like it’s self-throttling, I suspect a lot of V-droop, voltage regulation... but it runs nice and cool so I’m not complaining... it idles at 30watts or much less at the wall.Due to their smaller size, mini ITX commonly have electronics soldered on the back, which typically interfere with CPU backplates, like the intel Gigabyte H55N mobo. The AM3 mounting bracket on this a single is interference-free so it feels really safe with a Thermalright AXP-140 heatsink.Asus is the only other choice on AMD platform, but I don’t trust their high quality, M4A88T has center-mounted CPU, SO-DIMMs and SB710, whereas the Zotac has the most recent SB850 with 4 Ɣ) 6GB/s SATA 3. connectors which is even far better than Sandy Bridge, lol

Modest form element, Wi-Fi Can't get complete screen at 1920x1080p by way of HDMI out in my Sony KDL-32EX400 Complete HD LCD Television set and just can set it at 1680x1050 in my HP w2338h 1080P Total HD LCD Pc monitor., The Intel DH57JG MoBo function flawlessly due to the fact initial day of use in my other HTPC process compared to this piece of junk. I prefer Intel MoBos more than AMD based MoBos are less prone to fault, Of course this is the 1st and final time I do assembly of an AMD based personal computer technique.

The board generally worked nicely with linux and the BSDs, except for the SATA ports in AHCI mode. The AHCI chipset probes as Generation-2 only, and connects to 6GBit/sec SATA-III devices at only 3GBits/sec. This is the actual chip registers that are indicating this and has nothing whatsoever to do with any software program drivers. What is weird is that this is the 880G chipset w/presumably the SB850 southbridge, which DOES help 6GBit/sec SATA ports simply because I have the exact same combo on my Gigabyte 880GMA-UD2H mobo and it probes the very same devices at 6GBits/sec speeds. My presumption is that the Zotac BIOS has extremely old chipset firmware in it and/or the chipsets have quite old firmware, or the BIOS is doing something stupid and blowing up the link configuration causing the chipsets to indicate only 3GBit/sec operation. Or they are lying outright. The info on the internet site is particularly poor. The BIOS update demands a msdos floppy, so old. Updating my BIOS didn't resolve the challenge.Boot order selection doesn't perform extremely effectively w/ regards to obtaining a USB stick override the typical HDs I see a lot of poor reviews, and mine is poor as well in that the board is advertised as having 6 GBit/s SATA ports when it doesn't. The BIOS also has poor usb keyboard emulation and poor memory & cpu clocking controls, and the intelligent fan doesn't very really feel proper. But insofar as operating as a little server the lack of 6GBit/s SATA assistance is the only showstopper.

Video high quality is excellent (at least at 720p), wifi is wonderful, the PCI Express x1 slot convinced me. Digital audio out is only on two channels, somehow this is the market standard (Asus has the very same difficulty), which is why I took an egg out. I purchased an Asus DX1 for 5.1 digital sound, which makes it a great HTPC method (running on Windows 7 Ultimate). Of course, the total expense went up by about ๠.

Has All The New Features. The 880 Chipset Is A Superior One. I've Employed It On Several Boards Now. I Paired It With A Dual Core 545 Callisto. It Makes A Fantastic Htpc Develop Or Desktop Replacement. I Think Anyone Would Take pleasure in This Board And Its Functions. Fantastic Job Zotac. The Bios Is Limited. Memory Timings Are Strange. Old Dos Bios Update? C'mon Get With The Program! Overall Pleased With The Board.
