Awesome board. A single touch ACC produced my Athlon II x3 450 into a Phenom II x4 without having the L3 Cache. Running Win 7 household x64 and this board runs it like a dream. Uncomplicated to put collectively, and no problems, powered on quickly. Board stays cool at 33 degrees C. None

My replacement is working fantastic. Stable, lots of BIOS features, excellent temperatures, running effectively on a reduce wattage psu than most men and women would get for my create. I like the energy saver and instant boot softwares incorporated, and the CD drivers set up nicely and perform, although some may well require updating. Other than the 1st one particular getting DOA, this is an outstanding board for the price. I guess my only cons are that power saver software tends to make the Pc too slow for games, which I expected, and immediate boot restarts my computer alternatively of shutting down and waiting for me to turn it on to do the swift boot. For restarting, it functions great. This was my very first construct. I'm operating this mobo with an x4 640, overclocked NVIDIA gts450, two case fans, a DVD burner, and a SATA HDD, all on a 380W Antec Earthwatts PSU. I'm loving it and it runs games smoother than I believed at 1600x900.

Small, wonderful for a small case or HTPC, Function wealthy, UCC unlocking utility functions nice. Fantastic graphics for standard games. Booted proper up with no troubles and loaded Win7 fast. Crossfired with my add on video card. No HDMI for HTPC, I had to purchace a separate video card.I would dock it 1ǘ an egg for no HDMI but I went in understanding this. This is my initial ASRock board but am content with it so far. I usually use ASUS or Gigabyte boards.

It functions. Its Extremely simple to unlock additional cores or overclock a CPU. Onboard video was better than anticipated (I didn't appear too close at that, since I knew I was utilizing a spare Radeon HD 5670). Feels a bit flimsy.

Great install accessories, comes with two sata cables, as effectively as an ide cable (I don't use, but you could have and older dvd). Potential to unlock cpu cores functions great. I advocate unlocking the cores and testing them. My Athlon II X3 was a Phenom II X4, the locked core operating at 99.9% rather than 100% capacity. Easy twix of slightly below operating the processor yielded four cores with the extra cache. Board is a small thin. Be careful when installing RAM and cards. I often install into a case with lots of airflow. In this technique, Rosewill case with Rosewil psu. Can't beat this board for the cost.

This year I'm attempting out a lot of ASRock boards for a wide variety of builds. This one particular I employed for my parents, and I certainly loved the board:Fantastic Price tag for a AM3/DDR3PATA if you have an older drive.Sufficient SATA to set up numerous drives.2x SATA and a PATA cable included.Core unlocking/overdrive software for effortless processor manipulation.HD 4250 on board; I loved this in particular. Any long video card will hang over 3 of your SATA ports, so be mindful of that if you're wanting to set up additional than three drives and a video card. It would have been neat to see HDMI with this board, but that is obtaining greedy. All in all, this is a excellent board with awesome attributes at a stupidly low cost. If you're hunting for a excellent board for a price range construct that supports DDR3 memory, I would contemplate this a excellent one to purchase. The truth that it has not only on board video, but HD 4250 need to be enticing sufficient; a lot of other boards in this cost range sport only the GeForce 7025.Alternatively of obtaining a bigger board, get this a single, then use the left more than spending budget to upgrade to eight gigs of memory if that wasn't your plan to "future-proof" your develop, as you don't have a lot of wiggle room in the memory slot department.I'm preparing on constructing an entertainment box for my living space; this is the frontrunner decision simply because it hits the sweet spot among cost, characteristics and good quality.

Value. Capabilities. A single click ACC. Paired this board with Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto three.2GHz and "one click, that quick" had a four core proc running @ three.38GHz! Built numerous boxes over years but this 1 function really amazed me! On board video not for significant gamers but fine for workplace, general house use, light gaming. Operating Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Replaces 11 year old XP property P4 2.66. In comparison, effectively there is no comparison, this board rocks! No USB 3 (not seriously a biggie, yet)Only 2 dimm slots. Effortless set up.. Mini tower case nevertheless had lots of area. Cools well with stock cooler and fan. 2 ram slots (would have preferred 4 but board is modest -micro ATX) Installed 2x2 for four GB total. Unless you're performing graphic design, gaming, and so on, four GB appears to be adequate.. for now.

Its dead, changed out diverse power supplies, mem sticks, check all connections and when I go to boot up absolutely nothing... Went over everthing and I just have to be unlucky.. Wish it would have worked? This is my 1st DOA and im pretty bummed... Was developing for a friend and now I kinda look like an donkeys u know what..

Worked out of the box, no problems, no worries. Used this board on a price range build that turned out rather nice for the dollars. None that are not particularly enumerated in the item information. Only two slots for ram, only two pci, and only one pcie. Windows 7 will not recognise overclocked cpu. Shows stock settings no matter what is set in the bios. Core unlock feature discovered my fourth core on my AMD X3, but sadly it was not to be. Fourth core was unsable. Occasionally they turn them off for a purpose ;-)

Purchased two for a pair of low price Athlon II x3 builds and these boards did not disappoint. For what it is (a no frills, basic AM3 most current chipset board), they perform handsomely. As with every micro ATX board I've bought within the final five years, this board is undersized. The front of the board is not supported in the case, which makes it quite tough to plug in (especially) the power and PATA cables because they require a fair quantity of force. This saves the companies, what, possibly a buck? Printer ports? Serial Ports? Floppy Ports? This board is sooooo 1990's! If manufactures want to skimp to save fees, this is exactly where they should be looking, not by shaving the board size. When I set the BIOS to run the RAM at DDR3-1600 then examine the RAM in AMD Overdrive, CPU-Z, etc, it really sets the RAM to DDR3-400 even even though the BIOS will confirm DDR3-1600. DDR3-1333 with tightened timings operates effectively, nevertheless. I know there are RAM OC problems with some Athlons, but I can't look to confirm if this is a single of them or if the MB BIOS setup is wonky.

Affordable board with broad CPU help. Fantastic software package integrated with the board. Intelligent Energy Saver functions fine and lets you know how considerably power you're saving. ARock Instant Boot is much simpler than I believed it would be and genuinely does save time. Required some BIOS tweaking for best efficiency. This board is plug-and-play. Tweak your BIOS settings for greatest perfromance. On-board video is decent but purchase a vid card if you plan to run games.

Rather Low-cost. Created a couple of cracking sounds when getting assembled. Yikes!Hey, you get what you spend for. Board has some interesting features. Oper sys install was the finest I ever skilled. So easy and no issues at all. Overclocking works nicely so far. This little board worked properly proper out of the box. It is compatible with Phenom xII 1005 (six core, 125w) with no bios upgrade, nevertheless I did upgrade the bios from Asrock's site after getting the process up and running. Bios has lots of OC selections. No driver troubles in XP. The MOSFETS get quite toasty running the six core on a stock HSF. No stability difficulties, but I am concerned about longevity. Just to be positive, I have ordered some tiny MOSFET heatsinks from Newegg. I usually steer away from micro ATX boards, but on this construct I required a mini tower. Overall I'd acquire this board once again. The heat problems can be resolved with air movement or a much less power hungry processor.
