I bought this fan for my core 2 quad processor. It is good it keeps my cpu to its stable temp. (I didn't really try overclocking it or something). The fan is cheap and good. I recommend it for some who is looking for cheap core 2 quad cpu fan.

I got this to replace a broken fan. This one is much better quality than the original one it replaced. Absolutely no problems installing it.

works better than the intel original equiptment in fact it actually keeps pentium d 915 at around 21-22 celcius idle and the highest was 30 celcius virus scanning and burning dvd's

Kinda cheap build. Purchased to replace OEM fan. This fan was relativly flimsy and the heatsink was much lighter and obviously did not have the thermal mass of the original. If you want to ensure you have a cool CPU, go with a better product.

I bought this to replace the stock Intel heatsink on a home-built HTPC in a small mini-ITX case. Removed the fan because it obstructed the optical drive. Even with just the heatsink, it keeps the Pentium Duo E5200 at 32C at idle and about 55C under intense load. Very happy so far.

This is a nice fan and works very well, of that I had no problem... However, if yo are a gamer, stay away - the machines run too hot to expect this to keep up. For the normal stuf it works very well - remember it is not a work horse for high demand programs.

I bought this cpu cooler as an upgrade from the stock coolers you get with intel cpu's. It was very easy to install, quiet operation, and it keep's the cpu nice and cool even under load. I have temps around 21 c to 40c under load. Speedy shiping too thank's.

So i have been changing my CPU out a bit trying to trouble shoot and this thing is a pain in mY @$$, taking the thing out is a huge time waster, also this thing is cheaply made, the little plastic clear things break all the time (ive gone through 2!) and there for cannot make prefect contact with the CPU and over heats my entire system I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH BUY SOMETHING ANYTHING ELES then this POS!

Bought an Ultra X-cooler, ran too hot on a PD-3.4ghz so put this one on, works fantastic. Yes, the X was seated properly, reseated it twice to no avail, I think the x cooler just does not have enough mass on the base for the Pentium D due to the fact it doubles as a frying pan.

I purchased this fan here to match with a computer I was building. My first computer I was building so I was a bit hesitant on how things would work out. Out of the box I was able to see how it would attach to my Intel 775 motherboard. After inital reading on how to install I still had a bit of an issue cause one of the pins, I didnt hear it click so I wasnt for sure it it was on correctly. Other than that, it was a very clean install and the fan is quiet let me tell you.

Once I got all the thermal paste spread evenly it works like a charm. The one drawback is I think my thumbs still hurt from trying to hear those four clicks from that bad boy into the four holes.

One thing that I like about this is it is easy to pop the fan off and clean any dust off the radiator fins. I run a C2Q9600. Cooler keeps it at 42degC idle, 52degC encoding video (all cores running).

I have used 7 of these fans in various builds up to Q6600 CPU. I aggree that it does take quite a bit of pressure to install, when installed it works very well, never had a problem with any of them. I find they are slightly more efficient than the fan that comes with the CPU.
