Cons: Catalyst Media Centre a little slow and not totally intuitive.

Pros: Easy install
Comment:
Purchased this on sale for $39.99 to replace an AIW 9600 (which wasn't supported under Vista) in my 2nd box. Using the included antenna for over-the-air digital,I get the 4 HD networks plus Omni. Works great. The video card is also a substantial improvement over the 9600 (not the 4870 in my mane box), the 512 mb takes the pressure off the installed RAM.Great Deal.

Cons: For the sale price, none

Pros: Good price when purchased on Weekly special
Comment:
I was looking for a TV tuner to go in a system that had a Radeon X800 in it. This was on sale during a weekly special and ended up costing the price of an inexpensive TV tuner, and is significantly faster than the X800. Installation was straight forward, and the Picture quality was fine. The only thing I noticed, is that the file sizes are significantly bigger than on another system I have that has an old Leadtek Tuner/Capture card in it, for the same resolution outputs. This is important to me as I like to back up some video onto DVD's, and want as good of quality as I can with as small of a file size as I can. I'll have to look into some 3rd party software, I guess.Other than that, it is now in a system that is used primarily as a PVR/internet browser, and it is great. It is also used for some light gaming, and hasn't had any issues yet (WOW mostly).I would purchase this again at the sale price, not the listed price. Rating is based on sale price.

Cons: Not good for gaming of any kind, and it's way over heat

Pros: Low cost when it's on sale
Comment:
Got it for real low cost on in store sale. It runs ok, but it tend to over heat. It didn't stop operation but it really heat up my room. When I try to run street fighter 4 with it... It stucks like hell unless I take out the back ground. I suggest it for video and tuner only :)

Cons: Picture quality isn't that greatRuns hotMight be tough to get workingCatalyst Media Center isn't very polished

Pros: GPU and TV tuner in one packageGood number of accessoriesNo excessive power requirementsSupports ATSC/ClearQAM
Comment:
I picked this up recently during a deal of the day for just $49.99. Considering this is a GPU plus a TV tuner in one package, it seemed like quite a steal. On top of that, it's not just a plain old TV tuner that you might find on other more budget tuner cards but it also supports things like over-the-air digital/HDTV. For $50, it seems like quite a bargain.Physical installation was easy. All you need is a free PCI-Express x16 slot on your board, pop it in, secure it, and you're done. No extra PCI-E power connectors required like higher end graphics cards. When you actually get into Windows though, that's where things get dicey. First of all, I just ignored the drivers on the included disc and went to the AMD/ATI site to download the latest ones available. You're going to need two sets of drivers, one is the ATI Catalyst drivers for the GPU (Radeon HD 3650) and the other is the ATI Theater drivers. I had a problem at this step and that is my operating system just would not detect the TV tuner portion of the card. The Radeon HD 3650 graphics chip was detected and drivers were installed fine but the TV tuner could not be detected. My problem was that I had my Radeon HD 4850 occupying my first/top PCI-Express x16 slot as my primary card and the All-in-Wonder (AIW) card as a secondary card. In this configuration, the TV tuner was not detected. I proceeded to remove the 4850 completely and place the AIW card in the top/primary slot and in this configuration, the TV tuner was detected without any problems. You're going to need to install the ATI Theater drivers though once the TV tuner is detected. On to the actual performance of the card, I personally was not very impressed. I found that the included antenna wasn't very good at picking up signals but that might also be attributed to the availability of OTA signals in my area. Hooking it up directly to my cable TV line, the picture quality was very average and nothing special but it did work fine. Again, the antenna wasn't incredibly good at picking up signals and any signals I did pick up weren't very impressive either. I can't really give a fair rating on this since I couldn't really get it to work properly but from other reviews I've seen on the internet, it seems like using the tuner with OTA HD signals can be very impressive if the signals are strong enough in your area.ATI includes a disc with their own Catalyst Media Center (CMC) on it. This software is really basic and although it has some nifty features, I felt that it was a really unpolished piece of software. I've been looking for updated versions of CMC but it seems as though ATI only released one version and that was in 2007 so you can imagine it is ridiculously outdated. That's unfortunate because it could really use a lot of work. Looks like it was designed by a teenager who had nothing better to do on a Sunday afternoon. You'll be happy to know that the tuner does in fact work with Windows Media Center which I believe is many times better than CMC.Enough about the TV tuner though, this card is a GPU as well although not a very good one. The Radeon HD 3650 GPU is not particularly powerful though it does sport a few nice features that more recent Radeon chips include such as UVD for hardware media decoding as well as built-in HDMI with audio support. In terms of gaming, I didn't try it but I imagine it would be lacking greatly in this field. You might be able to play seeing as how it does have a bit of power behind it and also it's DX10.1 compatible but overall, this is far from being a real gaming card.To sum it up, the AIW HD is a decent card if you can pick it up on the cheap. Great for media PCs if you're using this as your only card as it takes care of graphics duties while also acting as TV tuner. Light gaming with older titles may be possible but don't expect any miracles. If you want to use this as a secondary card, I would steer clear as you may encounter problems like I did trying to detect the tuner. Overall, the card could use some work. A more powerful GPU onboard would have helped and maybe better picture quality and a better software bundle. Definitely not worth it for its regular price though.
