Cons: None

Pros: Powerful, good cooling.
Comment:
This card will play all your games on the highest settings. I don't find that the exaust is that hot which means the cooler does its job well. Picked this card up for about $250 and was a great buy. This card will make NVidia enthusiasts switch over once they see what this card is capable of.

One of the best GPU purchases for the money I ever purchased, outstanding high end performance. Performs close to the GTX 280 for much less.

Pros: -Great Performance-Good drivers with latest from ATI

This is a great card and I have been running games on Ultra High settings at 1680x1050 with steady playing of above 60 frames/sec.

This is just an awesome card, I went from a Radeon 1950XT to this card, and wow just amazing difference, can do alot more with AA/AF and I'm totally impressed. Visiontek offers a good warrenty on this card, but I'll be honest, warrenty is not a big thing for me, as I'll replace the card before I need to use the warrenty anyways. Also for price compared to it's rival Nvidia counterpart they can't even compare. Time for a new monitor now, and maybe another one for some crossfire sexyness.

Cons: -Have to change fan speed through profile changing-Fan is loud at 100%

Pros: -Very Fast Graphics card-Can play almost anything on high settings-Quiet when idle and under load
Comment:
I have recently bought this graphics card and all that I can say is that ATI really worked hard on this one. The 4870 is a card that you get you bang for your buck.

Cons: This card runs hot without tweaking the fan speed to cool it.

Pros: VisionTek's limited lifetime warranty
Comment:
This card performs very well at all resolutions that I run on my 22" wide screen LCD monitor. I tend to stick to the native 1680 x 1050 and with my E8400 CPU on the P5Q Pro Motherboard this video card cranks out more than enough frames in the games I play. The drawback is that without going out on the internet to find the write-ups to change the fan speed this card idles very hot, and climbs into the extremely hot zone when playing games. The latest version of Rivatuner allows you to set the fan speed, and there is a work around for setting up the custom profile in the Catalyst Control Center, if you look for it.

Cons: minimal increase in performance from 640mb 8800GTS

Pros: solid performance
Comment:
I helped out a friend by giving them my 640mb 8800 GTS, so I had to get a replacement quick. I had a hard time deciding between the 260 and this. I read a lot of reviews, but they seemed so close I just went with whatever was on sale at the time.I use a 24" BenQ 241wp and play nearly everything at 1900x1200, with both cards. Honestly, I saw almost no difference in performance so I ran 3dmark2006 --- a whopping 2% score increase. Maybe the bottleneck is somewhere else in my system, but either way this was an expensive upgrade to get 2% more performance.Maybe newer drivers will help, or it has features that newer games will take advantage of, but it made little difference in my gaming experience so far. Cons: - Little expensive. Would never have paid more than 280$ - 30$MiR for that.- Lame drivers. I keep getting crashes made by the ATI drivers. That same driver make the OS "Vista 64" fail to load if I overclock my CPU... wtf. With my 8800GT I had no issue at all. So now it's not thatttt much faster since I have a better card but 900Mhz less on my E8500- By default the fan run at 20%, at least on 8.7 and someone told me 22% on the 8.8 but if you raise it to 28% you barrely hear it at all but the card decrease of 15Celcius so they should have made it 28% by default.

Pros: - Better visual quality than Nvidia.- Very fast.- Much better price/perf ratio than GTX 260/280.- Quite good overclocking room once fan raised to 28%
Comment:
Well it was worth it to sell my Galaxy 8800GT for 215$ then get that one for 280$ - 30$ MiR = 250$ but the driver bug really make me angry. I'm sure its also whats making my system freeze 1-2 time out of nowhere per day.Gonna change motherboard and cpu tomorow then format and use Vista 32bit instead of 64bit.

Pros: Speed, stability

A great card - replaced my nVidia SLi setup on Vista 64 and instantly added speed and stability. The performance is great and my 430W PSU doesn't appear to have any difficulty in supplying enough juice.

Cons: CCC did not work on my setup prior to Catalyst 8.8. No problem now.

Pros: Powerful, efficient, great fps, perfection. This card rocks!
Comment:
Like fine wine, this card just gets better with new drivers. Catalyst 8.8 turned this card into perfection. Did lots of research before buying & I have built dozens of systems. Blows away 260GTX & IMO ,overall, it's better than anything from NVidia. Welcome back ATI!

Cons: The stock BIOS ''chooses'' to compromize GPU temperature so that the card will be as quiet as possible. GPU temperature will be high.

Pros: Incredible performance for the money. Sweet card and perfomance if you are gaming at a 1680x1050 resolution.
Comment:
My VisionTek card is now running smooth. I flashed it to an ASUS T.O.P. BIOS : the fan problem is solved, and the core is running at 815MHz and the memory is running at 925MHz (3700MHz effective). Great card, great perfomance. Get it. You can also CrossFire it on ANY Intel board (wich we all love) and get very high Anti-Aliasing quality, especially with the new Custom Filtering AA developped by ATI/AMD.

Cons: - drivers a little buggy- hot without fan tweak- occasionally crashes desktop (drivers again)

Pros: fast, affordable, runs cool when fan is turned up
Comment:
Runs crysis blazing fast on high settings, played through the entire game on directx 10 until the last level where it kept crashing and the sky occasionally went completely white. Turning to directx 9 solved this. Evidently there are some driver modifications to be made. Also, out of hte box the card runs very hot. Using the fan tweak (google it) brings the temperatures down to a very nice level wall ithout deafening you. Got the card when it was on sale, had a $40 MIR, and included grid couldn't get a better value.

I went from an 8800gt to this, I'm impressed! Theres no game that I play on a regualar basis that I cant max out teh settings. Only one is crysis. The heat issue is minor and easilly fixed with the fan mod. The new 8.8 drivers seem to have fixed any small glitches I was having.

Pros: Very fast, DX 10.1
Comment:
Excellent value for a very fast card. Google to find out how to fix the fan speed issue. Does not overclock that much due to Bios limitations which ATI will hopefully fix soon.Even better with MIR which is so far moving along fine.
