Cons: - I have questions about the build quality of the clicking mechanism. since my first G9X 3 years ago, two have had buttons failed on me

Pros: - Best mouse I've ever used, the dream mouse for claw grip- The dry grip is the best for people with hyperhidrosis- Great customization for the mouse- Weight adjustment isn't just marketing, it actually makes a difference once you find the weight right for you- 3 year warranty! With logitech that means you get a brand new mouse if anything happens to it
Comment:
This is hands down my favorite mouse. Some say the dry grip is stupid marketing hype, that's because they don't have hyperhidrosis (sweating palms). It makes a huge difference. My MX 518 would get dirty so quickly and sometimes I have to clean it after just an hour of two of playing RTS, not G9x. Everything about the mouse is fantastic, except the build quality of the buttons... My MX 518 lasted me 10 years, and it's still going strong, that's not the case for G9x.. I've had two having problems in the past 3 years. The button mechanism would just break down over time. That's quite frustrating for a gaming mouse. However, unlike brands like Razor, Logitech has 3 year warranty so I was able to get a brand new mouse when my old one died. The downside is once the original 3 years expires, you won't be able to get replacement mouse anymore. So expect your G9X to last 4 to 5 years with all the warranty replacements.Despite the build problems, I still think $49.99 is worth it for 4,5 years of usage of an awesome mouse. It's just a shame that this could be the perfect mouse... This review was modfied by poster @ 10-20-12 12:41 PM

Cons: Having the scroll mode switch on the bottom is pretty silly, but I doubt I'll ever use it. Different grip surfaces are too exaggerated.

Pros: Good response. Logitech mice seem to have a good lifespan. Nice software. Stores settings on-board 3 grip options. Easy to reach DPI buttons. 2 scroll modes
Comment:
My 6 year old Razer Copperhead was starting to go, and I've had to take it apart a few times to fix a quirk in it. It served me very well, but alas, I was forced to get another mouse before it kicked the bucket. Sicne my town has no worthy computer stores, i had no chance to hold this before I bought it. but after making a judgment from reviews, Pictures, and dimension specs, I think I made a good choice and I'm pretty happy with it. It's short, and nice and low, and a little wide. I prefer teh wider grip. the Button have a nice 'feel' to them, and the DPI button has the best, most natural placement of any mouse I've used. This is also the first mouse I've had with the horizontal scroll feature, which I assigned as Page Up and Page Down. With the software, you can set the color of the DPI indicator LEDs. The DPI options are great; you can set anywhere from 1 to 5 different DPI settings, adn and specify each one from 100 to 5700DPI , using the DPI buttons to switch between them. I use 1000, 2000, and 3200. The cord is the average length of 2 metres or so, and has a braided sheath. Personally, I prefer non-braided, since they tend to grind down edges a bit more and they are harder to un-kink when new. But it's a nit-pick. The middle button is harder to push down than my Copperhead, but nto too bad. Id' liek to have a bit slightly stronger feel to the 'clicks' while scrolling. I'll surely never use it, but the clickless 'freewheel' of the scroll wheel is VERY smooth - I can swipe it a and it'll spin for 12 seconds. I like the swappable grips, but I found the smooth one too smooth, and the textured one too rough. I took some 200-grain sandpaper to them both and now they feel great: grippy enough, but no 'slimey' feel to the one, and the other one doesn't feel like I'm holding a rock. Oh yes, it has teh weights. It took a lot of fussing over, but I used my uhh.. "jewelers" scales and made it as heavy as my old mouse, since I'm used to it. The weights come in a pretty little tin case. The weigh chamber and grips are easy to take off.I got it for a stupidly low $51 on NCIX's sister website. I was going to price match to NCIX, but they offered free shipping.I've only had it for a few days, and if an opinion changes, I'll edit this accordingly.

Pros: accuratethats about it
Comment:
This is the WORST mouse ive ever had the displeasure of using.after a year: scroll wheel stops working (as with all my past logitech mice)rubberised grip starts peeling: after a year my mouse looks like a burn victim, peeling and shedding everywhere. its gross and the rough finish starts peeling on the second interchangeable cover. full of useless gimmicks they charge you a premium for: ability to change the weight of the mouse: WHY?"micro gear": WHY? also the microgear eventually stops turning freelyinterchangeable grips: WHY?i will never buy another logitech mouse as long as i live, i recommend the razer deathadder instead. a no frills type of mouse that my brother has been using for 2 years as well, still works as well as it did the day he got it.

Cons: - The interchange-able grip gets worn out after heavy use but then again, what mouse wouldn't wear out after an year or two? And this mouse comes with extra grip which has rougher texture for non-slip, accurate gaming.- Few extra buttons (maybe just one or two more) wouldn't have hurt- Mouse wheel feels a bit cheap

Pros: + Interchange-able weights+ Weight cubes come in a very slick tin-boxes. Well packaged+ Such accuracy...
Comment:
Still to this day, this was the best 60 so dollars I ever spent on a mouse. It never failed on me, and it improved my gaming experience tremendously. I would recommend this to any decent PC gamer out there.

I am not a gamer. I use the mouse for work and I don't need one million buttons. The mouse has a good grip and respond very well.

Anyone not liking the scroll wheel, check the button on the bottom of the mouse that looks like a gear. PROBLEM SOLVED!This mouse is the best I've ever used. No buzzing problems.I have used the MX510, MX1000, G7, and Razer Naga. This one beats them all.

Comment:
This is the best mouse I've used so far. It's increased my accuracy in games tremendously. I'm able to switch between different DPI settings to customize my sensitivity as well, which really helps with my in-game pointing accuracy. The mouse comes with weights which really help to weigh down the mouse and give it a great feel. The cord is lined with fabric making it extremely durable. Definitely worth the money.

Cons: -Dreaded nylon covered cable rubs on cloth mousepad and create s friction, create  an annoying drag effect on a mouse that slides so easily-Changing the profile with the mouse buttons is tricky: you have to press a button UNDER the mouse PLUS a button ON the mouse-Middle mouse button way too hard to press-Middle mouse button side press feature way too easy to press, -Mouse wheel spins freely, it's notchless, because of that it can trigger a weapon switch in your game, and while browsing documents, documents usually scroll notch by notch, with a notchless mouse wheel, it gives a broken feel to the mouse wheel-PREVIOUS and FORWARD buttons press gives almost no feedback

Pros: -Very accurate-Glides on the surface easily-The claw like grip mod gives a good grip-Custom profiles stored in the mouse-Custom LED color for the profile button
Comment:
Yeah, it's a good mouse, but I really HATE the mousewheel. It's almost as it was made for these freaking bunnyhoppers. XEAnd who needs a side scrolling function? The dreaded nylon covered cable is excusable as it probably gives the best frictionless experience on hard surfaces.

Cons: Price compared to the regular stuff...

Pros: VERY Very comfortable, especially if you have bigger hands. Its customizable (add/remove weight, use the grip that comes with the mouse or without)You can adjust resolution directly on the mouse.
Comment:
I love this mouse. Now I was coming from a 3 year old logitech wireless mouse but for gaming, you cannot compare the difference in response between the 2. I also have larger hands which this mouse is very confortable to use (with the grip). It comes with weights you can add if you want to make the mouse heavier but for me I left it without the weights.

Cons: Middle mouse button (scroll wheel) hard to press, but this isn't used very often. High price so make sure to Pricematch!

Pros: Very accurate. Very customizable. Comfortable.
Comment:
Excellent responsiveness and tracking. Very customizable when profiles are defined that allow different settings depending on the current program being used, which is automatic. I have a claw-style (fingertip) grip when using a mouse, and this mouse is perfect for that. I also have large hands, and this isn't an issue with the G9X.

Cons: The pads on the bottom could be a tad more durable.

Pros: Short, study, customizable and responsive.
Comment:
I bought this mouse after my G5 died (probably do to abuse), and after much consideration with other gaming grade mice on the market, I am not all disappointed. Two major points played a roll in my purchase of the G9x, I loved all the Logitech mice I have owned and it has a short and low profile. Most gaming mice on the market are long and tall, which gives you that palm feel. Despite having larger than average hands, I prefer its short and low profile feel because of my play style; which some on the Internet have described as the "claw" method. If you like the bigger mice, or opposite of what I described about the G9x, this mouse is probably not for you.Aside the feel, it's very responsive and button feature/layout is very well designed. I love the ability to change the size with one or two different fittings, depending on what kind of tactile feel you are comfortable with and how wide/narrow you want your grip. Being able to choose the LED colours from a fairly wide selection is also a big bonus for people who enjoy matching their equipment. Most important of all, this mouse responds very well. Among the best I have used for sure, possible they best.My only complaint is the surface pads on the bottom can easily be damaged or worn down, which unless you are using a mouse pad, can easily happen. Though despite my one complaint, I would never recommend another product unless the short/low profile of the G9x does not fit your play style.

Cons: Price

Pros: Comfortable, easy setup, better than my MX revolution for gaming.
Comment:
Paid $104 for this mouse, and must say this is one of the best mice i have used. Previously owned the mx revolution for 2 years and could never get fully comfortable with it. Even till now my hands cramp using it more than an hour. But with the g9x and using the second grip included fits snug to my hand. I love the dpi setting on the fly, i can raise it when playing sniper or in a tank in BFBC 2. This mouse is worth the high price tag.

Cons: awkward shape takes getting used to, bad retail price

Pros: lots of features, highly responsive, great customizing
Comment:
I got this mouse for 80$ and I honestly must say I wouldn't pay anymore for it. I've used many Logitech mice and keyboards and they've all been ergonomically superior to everything else I've seen/used. But in terms of shape, this mouse makes an exception. Even with the customizable grips it will not fit my hand comfortably when I use my regular grip. In order to get the most out of this mouse I had to change to more of a claw grip which is a bit cumbersome for me.I honestly can't imagine why someone would need 5000 dpi, ~4000 dpi is good enough for me and I like having my mice really touchy.I wish you could add more weight to the cartridge, the mouse still doesn't feel hefty enough for me.Buy this mouse if it's on sale
