Cons: none!

Pros: very good laser sensorlots of buttonspractical wired mode
Comment:
This mouse is pretty much perfect. Wireless when on the move, wired when needed. The pads slide very well. The buttons are very configurable, lots of different configurations are possible. A must buy to replace a G7!

Cons: -Battery Life-Plug and Play Cord Lacks

Pros: -Wireless-Comfort-Glides nice
Comment:
Great Mouse! Glides very well, and the mouse buttons are not to sensitive and not to stiff. It feels very comfortable in my hand. The Logitech SetPoint software is very good. You can have up to 5 or 6 presets for the sensitivity and change them on the fly. Good for switching between classes (Assault Rifle to Sniper).Battery life does not last as long as one could hope for, but I read elsewhere that you can replace the single rechargeable AA battery for another single AA rechargeable batter that can hold more of a charge. Now for the only thing that really bugged me about the mouse. The plug and play cord is just plain terrible! I can not game with it on at all, and can barely tolerate it for surfing the web. The cord is just too stiff. When moving the mouse around I feel the pull of the cord so bad that it affects aiming in a game. Therefore I try to remember to plug it in every other night or so, so I don't get stuff having to use the cord. It is a AA battery though, so I'm sure you could stick another battery in.

Pros: Great Button LayoutGood Design

Much more attractive and usable than other multi button mice I have looked at. Mouse wheel is still usable as middle mouse click despite side scrolling

Cons: Wish battery would last longer.

Pros: FEELS AMAZING, love the extra buttons, setup is easy, and scrollwheel is perfect, GREAT for Fingertip style holders.
Comment:
Got it to replace Razer Deathadder. Works much better for my fingertip style mouse work. the coating on the mouse is AMAZING. Fixes the terrible slippery sidecoating on the Deathadder. Fingers fit great and none of the buttons get in the way if you dont want to use them.

So the g700 went on special a while ago and I have been wanting a wireless mouse for a very long time and decided to jump on it. Great purchase so far, absolutely loving not having a mousecord. I've come up with creative ways of trying to get rid of that feeling of being tethered, but after going wireless it just doesn't feel the same.First off let me start with the AA battery. This was a great decision on Logitech's part, although some may not agree with me. It is a compromise, you do give up battery life. However in exchange you get to use AA rechargeables which cost verry little to replace and can be rotated out easily with a pack of 2 or 4 for nonstop wireless. I use sanyo eneloops with mine (which also is the battery that comes with the mouse). The weight was a non issue with me. Although I do not use the weight packs that come with other mice, the extra weight here in exchange for wireless mode is definitely worth it.The cable that comes with the mouse is quite stiff though, it is definitely not as flexible as the braided one on the g500 or thinner ones I've seen on other mice. It is pretty thick, strange choice by logitech. The shape is awesome, I've been used to the MX5XX/G5(XX) shape for a very long time but this is definitely superior. It is similar to the MX Revolution (which I always wanted but never bit the bullet), a more pronounced arch instead of the smooth one of the aforementioned series. The buttons macros and setpoint are easy to use. I especially like the profile switching with application detection which can GREATLY increase your battery life if used properly. Basically I have it set up so that when I am not in a game it is at its minimum polling rate (having it at 500/1000 really drains the batteries quick) and at maximum power saving (more agressive sleeping basically). When I am in a game (or any exe), its the complete opposite at 1000hz polling rate and the power saving is kept to a minimum. This lets you have the best of both worlds without having to worry about forgetting to switch in/out of either profile (eg having it in maximum gaming mode when surfing the web or super power saving while gaming) which can and will happen. The button placement was a bit strange to me intially, but I got used to it very quickly. It was mainly the thumb buttons, it felt like I was pressing them wrong and then I realized I was. There are 4 of them (2x2 stack), and the top 2 stick out quite a bit and are not comfortable to press directly. This is because you are supposed to press up on them with your thumb still on the lower 2 (which are meant to be pressed directly. Once you do it this way you realize it was intentional (or a very nice mistake by logitech that ends up working for them) and quite a nice solution without making you relocate your thumb. The index finger buttons are also nice, in pictures it looks a bit "jagged" almost but when you use it it should fit your finger fine unless they are very small. All in all a great wireless mouse. It is basically the wireless mouse I have been waiting for, one that I can use for gaming with no noticeable downsides over a wired mouse. Theres no input lag, great battery life with proper profiles and more buttons and macro possibilities than I care to utilize. Expensive, but I have spent alot more on things I use alot less than a mouse which is every day.
