As the owner of Logitech's Wireless Mouse m510, I decided to pick this one up as a replacement when the school wheel started getting wonky (sometimes wouldn't scroll or click). I like the design and it feels good in my hand. I've always felt logitech makes great wireless mice. The battery lasts very long, it works on rougher surfaces, and it doesn't fall asleep after a period of inactivity the way other manufacturers build them (I hate mice that do this for energy saving, because it means you have to give the mouse a second to wake up before using it again).I was surprisingly disappointed with a key feature in this mouse though. In the product description they point out a new Windows 8 shotcut button. What they don't tell you, is that button is a replacement of the Middle Mouse button. The scroll wheel doesn't click. Pressing down on the scroll wheel switches the mode for the scroll wheel from "click to click" mode and "freespin" mode. Anyone who plays video games will know that button is very important. So I had to use Logitech's tool to switch the new Windows 8 shortcut button to instead become the middle mouse button. Not a huge loss, but anyone interested in the new feature this mouse has for Windows 8 will be disappointed to know they are gaining that new shortcut in exchange for not having a middle mouse button anymore.
