Cons: started spamming the sleep button a few days in, Logitech support is slow

Pros: Good layout, works well (when working)
Comment:
Purchased as an xmas gift for the wife, within days it was spamming the sleep key putting the computer in use (HTPC) to sleep. Initially I thought the power supply was blown (appeared the computer was shutting down, not sleeping). Some testing verified it was the keyboard causing the issues and it was actually sleeping. Unfortunately, being an xmas gift it wasn't opened until it was too late to RMA, so I had to deal with Logitech.Logitech promises to respond to support messages within 48 hrs. Well they do to the first message, but don't foolow that rule for subsequent messages. I jumped through all the hoops they asked as quickly as possible (always same day as they messaged) and responded back immediately, then I'd wait days, at one point 10 days with nothing, so I had to ping them with, "If you have no other solutions can I assume the keyboard will be replaced?" Then waited more days to hear back that an RMA was approved.A replacement is finally shipping months after I contacted them. This is not acceptable customer service. If the keyboard was working I'd give it a 4, but do to the obviously poorly QA'd keyboard (found forum threads of people with the same issue) and my customer service experience I'm forced to rate this 1 star. I'll be staying away from Logitech in the future. How you deal with customer's when something goes wrong is key (something NCIX is excellent at).

Cons: doesnt feel as sturdy or durable as the K360, single button-sized right shift key easy to miss, no keyboard feet / stand

Pros: lightweight, unifying software support, built-in trackpad, great battery life
Comment:
The unit weighs a lot less than it bigger K360 counterpart due to the omission of the dedicated num keys (which isn't really needed for compact keyboards). This unit still has unifying software support so you can still use it together with a dedicated logitech mouse if needed. Unifying software can be downloaded from the logitech website and will allow connection of multiple supported peripherals using a single usb mini-dongle. Battery life is excellent - original batteries are already a year old and still going strong. The weight makes it feel more plasticky and not as durable as the bigger K360. There are no legs or rear keyboard stand. The entire keyboard is slightly elevated by the protruding battery compartment. Unlike the K360, the right side shift key is not full size. It is the size of a single key and sits adjacent to the up arrow /pageup key. It's just takes a little bit of getting used to.Works perfect as an HTPC / MediaPC keyboard as well as a tablet keyboard for devices that support OTG connections. Six to 10 feet distance seems to be optimal range for the dongle to maintain a smooth and steady connectionOverall a good basic wireless keyboard with built in pointing device.

Cons: range, not backlit

Pros: 2 in 1, light and relatively small, durable
Comment:
I use it for my media computer in the living room and it works great as long as i'm in front of the computer. The track pad can be sluggish when not in straight line with the receiver but its OK for my use since its always in optimum range. With my huge dog and children always running around it fell to the ground more than once and didn't crack or broke and it still run perfectly. I highly recommend for a use such as mine.

This is now the 4th K400 I've purchased and they all work great. The size and built in trackpad make it perfect for HTPCs or android TV boxes.I have purchased many things from Logitech, and they make quality products and have great customer support. This is highly recommended for the aforementioned applications.

I've owned 2 of these now, they're inexpensive, they work very well, they have everything you need and nothing you don't.I always recommend these for media center PCsEvidently this review is too short. I don't know what else you would need to know if I have no complaints but do enjoy this filler, courtesy of NCIX's interesting requirements system.

Cons: Not the best feel on the keys (sticky)Wireless signal is the that strong

Pros: Convenience of keyboard and trackpad on same deviceCompact size
Comment:
I really like this keyboard, I have it connected to my HTPC. I like its compact size. But sometimes when I lean in my couch and have it over lap, the signals can get lost. I have to lean back in to get a better signal. I don't know if that's because I have my HTPC in a cupboard (Ikea), and the wood paneling is cutting down the signal...

Cons: I wouldn't ask for anything to be changed in a newer revision.

Pros: Price for functionality, fairly light.
Comment:
Keyboard is compact as possible while maintaining an actually somewhat usable keyboard and a good touchpad. Works great as a "remote" for the living room HTPC. Battery life so far seems good.

Cons: Batteries aren't rechargeable, kind of goes through some batteries regardless of use, but not a huge deal.Hard to clelan

Pros: Like the Nokia of Keyboards.WirelessVERY DURABLEResponsive
Comment:
It's like the Nokia of keyboards.I got this a year ago at a competitor, price matching NCIX for around $20.Originally I wanted it just for the keyboard but the mousepad is an extra touch. I got it because I am usually about a few ft away from my computer in bed and I got increasingly lazy and disliked getting out of my warm bed to check my trades, change what I was watching, or to look something up out of random curiosity. This keyboard has dropped numerous amount of times due to my stupor when waking up or because I put it in a stupid spot and it' has hit the hard tile floor of mine from 3ft more than a few hundred times and all I do is pick it up and it keeps working. No keys are broken, nothing is unresponsive aside from a battery on its way out, no physical scarring. At this point I'm more concerned that if I move my landlord will charge me if this keyboard breaks the floor.I was never a brand loyalty kind of person but if Logitech keeps this up I may go exclusive with them on the keyboards instead of just their mice.A prime choice purchase I would say because it suited every single one of my needs:-Dependable-Wireless-Durable for the huge amount of punishment for clumsy me getting out of bed or putting it down anywhere

Cons: Battery life, touch pad to sensitive

Pros: small, good connectivity, takes AA batteries
Comment:
Nice little keyboard for $40. I find the touch pad a bit to sensitive for my tastes and there seems to be no way to get around this. The keyboard does not appear to the have an auto OFF feature. You need to physically need to turn it off (switch on top of keyboard) or keep a pair of charged batteries on hand at all times.Other than that it has long range connectivity, I've gone at least 20 feet and it still has a connection. I would probably try an limit it to 25 feet (30 max).

Cons: Function Keys and Home/End/PageUp/PageDn require Fn. No Backlight

Pros: Small with excellent track-pad, good tactile feel, decent battery life.
Comment:
I have used this keyboard in a couple of different settings. At work I was using this to do some debugging on an embedded PC, and in that situation the compressed key layout forces you to used the Fn key before using the F1-F12 or Home/End/PageUp/PageDn, which frankly is awkward especially while holding it. When on a desk/table it has decent tactile feel and one does get used to using the compressed layout. But touch typists will have to watch out for changes like that small right shift key. Battery life is good, and it uses regular AA batteries. At home on an HTPC, there is no back-light for reduced lighting situations. But the excellent track-pad is very much appreciated. It is now replacing the fragile rapoo 2900 that was previously used on my HTPC. I would and have purchased this again but not at full price.

Cons: Cant really think of anything.

Pros: Nice light keyboard with a scroll pad.
Comment:
This is a great little wireless keyboard. I like the included scroll pad (like on a laptop). It makes couch operation very convenient. If you hold the keyboard with two hand like you would hold a cookie sheet with two hands, the scroll pad is perfectly placed to use your right thumb for mouse purposes. It also has a small "left click" button positioned for your left thumb.I also plugged the wireless usb dongle receiver into my boxee box on a whim... totally works!Definitely recommend, especially for the price.

Cons: Construction appears slightly flimsy and plasticky.

Pros: SmallKeys designed for reliable typing despite being smallResponsive touchpad
Comment:
This keyboard will work very well with your media server if you use your old computer as one. I think this is the best wireless keyboard within the price range, and the touch pad works really well. There's nothing remarkable about the keys, but considering they are small and very flat, it is impressive that the typing experience is on par with thicker keyboards in this price range. The programmable keys work really well as well. The volume control keys are handy when you use it for you media server.

Pros: Lite weight, good trackpad, full sized keyboard

Got this for my HTPC to replace a small remote sized keyboard. This one works very well and it much easier to use. The trackpad is laptop quality and so are the keys. It is the perfect size for a HTPC and works well on your lap.

Pros: RangeBattery life
Comment:
Been using this for about a year now. The range is excellent, even from 20 feet away. It may go farther I haven't tested that out yet. I never switch mine off, it seems to go into standby on it's own after a while. The battery life is great too, I'm still using the first set of batteries, with a pair of good lithium double A's it would probably go forever. There's a button on the top left for left mouse button clicking which makes it easy to point and click with two thumbs. The touchpad is quite sensitive, I find myself highlighting text by accident sometimes. Over all happy with how it works and would buy it again.
