These are great discs! I've had no bad burns on either the data or the lightscribe sides of the discs. -Rs are said to be the most compatible, and this seems to hold true as I havn't found a DVD player that can't read these yet. |

I bought 3 of these on sale for $12. You can't beat lightscribe discs at that price. It doesn't seem to have really caught on but I love it. The drive costs an extra $5 maybe and the discs aren't much more expensive if you look for sales, and the results are much nicer than the pen or sharpie most people use on their discs. Haven't made any coasters yet! |

I just got a laptop with lightscribe capabilities, so I decided to give it a go. The DVD's turned out awesome. I'm four for four so far. No shiny coasters. The price I got from NCIX was far better than any big ticket store (FS, BB, CC). I would highly recommend this product. |

I have had great results with these disks! Lightscribe has blown me away! Great way to make gifts for family and friends, as well as to catalogue what is on an archive DVD etc. Highly recommend going for lightscribe and these DVDs. |

Grabbed some of these for use in my first Light Scribe drive. Worked very well - no coasters to date. You can probably find cheaper media - the price per disc is a little high for these. |

I purchased the ASUS DRW-1814BLT DVD burner (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=22936&vpn=DRW-1814BLT&manufacture=ASUS) not too long ago because I wanted to get rid of the bulky IDE cable and go with SATA, as well as lightscribe. I have had very great reliability so far with it, and I have used one of these disc's to make a picture DVD. Burned perfectly fine, as well as scribed with great quality on the disc. I recommend! |

Cons: If you want the lightscribe to look great, it requires a little tinkering with the photo. Remember, current lightscribe technology can only produce shades of black. Therefore, B/W pics work best with lightscribe.
Pros: If you understand the technology, your lightscribed CD/DVD will look professional and much better than inkjetted or labelled versions. Comment:
Try to use burn w/ images/pics with high contrast between objects, B/W photos work nice too. Practice practive will improve your results. Dont forget to download the enhanced contrast utility from lightscribe.com Will make a huge difference despite the increased time required to burn. |

Been waiting for a long time now for these to come on sale. I love Lightscribe far more than sticky labels (which wrinkle or fall off) or printable discs (I hate inkjet printers, which always clog on me). I'm a neat freak so sharpies are also out of the question. Lightscribe may be limited to monochrome (for now), but even so I find they still look very sharp and professional when done right. I don't miss color at all. Verbatim has a reputation for making quality recordable media, and of all the Lightscribe CDR's and DVD-R's I've used of theirs, I've never burned a single coaster. Some folks complain about the price, but when they are on sale combined with a rebate, I find they are well worth that slight premium. Highly recommended if you have a Lightscribe capable drive. |

The end result looks great, and is a nice way to customize discs. Media is good quality, and the price isn't bad. No playback issues, and is a better alternative than labels for playback.
