Cons: Requires 2 hands to use effectively (1 to hold, 1 to press LCD)Menus are very slow / unresponsiveHave to look down to use guide, pause/play, use # keys

Pros: Eye catching designControls nearly any brand/modelHas both IR and RF emitters built inInstantly upgraded and imported all my settings from my previous Harmony
Comment:
I cannot describe  how much of a disappointment this was take home. It looked and felt great in the store, seemed like a smart design, felt nice in my 1 hand... How wrong I was.The unit is very slow. This is a common problem, and was revised in a newer model that I have yet to see in Canada. Even if a menu opens in a timely manner, the buttons do not always work for a good 1-2 seconds. There is no firmware to resolve this. Nor is there a firmware update  that adds CLOCK functionality, even though ALL of its advertising SHOWS a clock. Even the newest retail packaging. Lame. Also, as I like to use my remote while holding a beverage, or just lounging on the couch/bed, this remote is extraordinarily cumbersome to use 1 handed. The side buttons are fine, but the LCD is near impossible. I do not have small hands, but I dont have ogre hands either.I found the LCD customisation rather weak. You can add buttons only in 1 screen. No control of how the buttons are layed out or how they look. You have good control over what they do, but some features are permanently built in, and I had to disable some features to hide non working commands.I found myself constantly staring at my remote while using it. Having to look up and down, adjust finger positions. Ooops, I changed the remote orientation while looking back down, and the button press didnt hit my PVR. Yay. This made me think of a good money maker for Motorola: Build the same remote, but add a built in guide feature. Then I can remove your ugly 4:3 guide from my HDTV, and spend less time moving my eyes up and down. Also of note is that the RF extender required to actually use the RF emitter is not included. As I said earlier, incredibly disappointing remote. I would rate it lower, but I did not buy it from NCIX, thus no Order ID. Bogus. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-04-09 08:04 AM
