Comment:
The mouse works great and I have no problem with it whatsoever. The keyboard looks great on paper, with tonnes of features including some innovations, but in practice I found some serious ergonomic shortcomings. The worst design mistake is quickly revealed in attempting to use the and F keys (F1, F2, etc.). This is made excessively difficult by their miniature size (less than half the size of normal keys!), the curved top of the keyboard (the keyboard height decreases slightly toward the top row), and the insufficient tilt afforded by the legs. This requires an extra reach to get to the keys, as well as greater precision required to hit the correct key. The tiny labels jumbled together with the icon labels don't help either. There is also a huge gap between F8 and F9 which means will throw some people off. Users of Office might not notice, but I noticed right away when I tried using the keyboard in other applications such as Visual Studio where the F keys are used more frequently.A second problem I have is that some of the other keys, such as Home and End, are not placed in their traditional position. They are unintuitively placed left and right instead of top and bottom and are an extra 1-3 cm away from the cursor keys, seriously slowing down cursor placement when editing. The third thing I don't like is the almost nonexistent tilt provided by the short legs, but this is more in the realm of personal preference.I bought this keyboard in the hope that I could use it more efficiently than my hold one due to its more modern design, innovative features, and improved key action. However, so far it feels like a downgrade from the wireless keyboard that came with my 5-year-old Dell. I'll give it a month to see if I can get used to it; otherwise it's going in the garbage (but I'll keep the mouse).
