I have used verbatim who managed to reduce the cost of BD media and they have proved over timeI use BD to backup game purchases, so if I need to install Windows fresh, games are all back 25x faster than my ISP can deliver them

Comment:
These are good quality discs, I've only recorded about 20 or so to date, but no coasters so far. I do wish the speeds of the discs were 12x, instead of 6x to catch up with the drives out there.

These are much faster than the older 2x LTH BD-R discs and well worth the money at a little over $1 each.

Cons: -LTH-getting some coasters but think it has more to do with Windows 7 burning software

Pros: -price-quality
Comment:
Decent disc's. Nice to take big chunks of data off on more compact media (vs external HDD's). Not the greatest discs for archiving they say but we'll see.

Cons: bad burnsdisc errorsproblems reading disc

Pros: cheapest BD-R per disc
Comment:
I wanted to give this one star, but this site only allows you to give at worst 3 stars if you purchased it in store.Terrible burns with this product. The first 3 didn't burn properly at the rated 6x speed so when I slowed down the burn speed to 2x it burned but produced errors when verifying data on disc after burning on multiple discs. Tried more discs and kept getting errors. The computer was taking long to read them as well.I purchased this item because they were the cheapest Verbatim blank blu-ray media NCIX had and the reviews here were quite good. Thinking it was maybe just me getting bad burns because of some rare bad batch i checked other popular computer review sites only to discover that many people are having problems with the LTH BD-R discs. The quality of the Verbatim LTH blank media is very poor compared to their regular blu-ray blank discs. Very unlike Verbatim which usually creates great blank media.I then purchased the regular Verbatim 6x 10-pack BD-R media (97238) that NCIX carries and they work fantastic. All great burns for which I posted a 5 star review on this site for. New blu-ray burners like my LG BH14NS40 can burn those 6x rated BD-R discs at 12x. They take 10 minutes to burn and 10 minutes to verify. LTH can only be burned at its 6x rating. It took 15 min to burn and nearly an hour to verify data which then produced errors on multiple discs. So i would recommend you to spend a few more dollars and get the regular Verbatim (97238) 10-pack blu-ray blank media instead of the Verbatim LTH (97344) 20-pack here at NCIX. They are of better quality and you will get fantastic burns compared to this product. If you do decide to take a shot with this media with your hardware based on the positive reviews, remember to check "Verify Data" when burning. It will let you know if it burned properly. Cons: LTH type has questionable longevity

Pros: verbatim branded, cheapest available 20-discs spindle pack
Comment:
I purchased these discs from NCIX several times but it seems that at every instant, the SKU points to a different item. The first few purchases were verbatim BD-R with 25GB capacity 6X burn speeds. These were excellent discs, all burned with data without any issues/no coasters. After a little more than a year from the first purchase, all the discs were still readable. The latest purchase, about 5 weeks ago came with the similar looking verbatim BD-R discs (25GB 6X) but this time they were clearly marked LTH-type. This newer disc is suppose to use non-metallic dyes and has been the subject of questionable reliability based on other reviews. Some even said that these discs were not compatible with some home set-top BD players unless a firmware upgrade was done. Fortunately for myself, I only read these discs using BD-R burners so I haven't had the read-compatibility problems. Anyway, these will be my first LTH discs so we will see down the road how these hold up.The latest search using the SKU 67655 brings white inkjet printable verbatim discs. As to being regular BDR or LTH type, I am unsure. Hopefully there was a way to determine the actual product that would be delivered prior to purchase.

Pros: - quick write speeds- good quality
Comment:
I have always been pleased with Verbatim DVDs and recently purchased a blu ray writer from NCIX to run some back ups. The quality of these discs is exactly what I expect from Verbatim, excellent.I had a couple coasters at first, but after switching to different burning software these issues were resolved and turned out to have no relation to the discs.Highly recommended.

I've been using Verbatim BD-R discs for almost 3 years and no problems with them. I've tried some other cheaper brands for random stuff and have had 10-15% bad burns or failures. Pay the extra $0.20 a disc and get a name brand. I recommend.

Comment:
I bought 2 of these when the price dropped. I have already burned up one spindle and every disc came out perfect. I was worried these didn't have the hard coat, but the label clearly states that they do. They do only burn at 6x, but for the price they are worth it.

Cons: - Still a little pricey- Does not run at 12x max burner speed !

Pros: - Verbatim quality, even if LTH type- First burn was success- Runs at 6x speed mentionned with BH12LS38
Comment:
Quite good, but you can get better with the non-LTH discs that are almost twice as pricey. LTH runs at 6x, non-LTH will run 12x and protection is hard coated on non-LTH...
