Would've given a 4-star rating if it wasn't for the excellent price (19.99$). These speakers doesn't sound really good compared to the Z-5500 set I once had (granted, the Z-5500 set costs almost 12 times the price), but I am satisfied with them. |

I've used a variety of low-end 2.1 systems (all between $20-50), and this is the smallest of the bunch. If you can get these on sale it's a good upgrade to laptop speakers, and you can put the satellites on top of the sub, which will project the sound over your laptop. However, the tiny size comes at a price, which is sounding basically like a 2.0 system (clear, but no low bass at all). If you have extremely limited space it fits the bill, otherwise you get what you pay for, as my $40 Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers have twice the sound as these. |

Man are these speakers worth it! I price matched it to $23.46 and it's worth every penny. Don't expect some god like amazing speaker system but do expect crystal clear quality for music, and even gaming. It's just a well round speaker that does it's job and more. Very satisfied and I would highly recommend this to anyone that's looking for cheap speakers that do wonders. |

Purchased this to replace/upgrade a laptop's sound speaker. Obviously this is a huge improvement, but the way it's designed is really nice. The base unit is compact & gets the job done. Even at half bass it's very potent. The satelites look sleek & are loud, without any of that static or noise you get with cheapo models. Although the cable that binds the 2 speakers together is short (wont wrap around a basic 19" monitor), I ended up scotch taping them in place, because if 1 falls the other goes with it.I like the little control unit, especially the rotary volume control, although the power on button is far too tiny for my liking. Will recommend for anyone looking for a simple sound system, with easy to access design features. |

Despite the minor cons, these are 5 star speakers *if* they are right for you. That's the key here. While these speakers deliver excellent clarity and tone, you are not going to get the kind of volume from these that you would from a bigger system. It has a 4" subwoofer, and a small cabinet. You do get proportionate bass, but you won't be able to 'crank' this unit. At this price that's just not reasonable to expect.Overall this unit delivered on my expectations. Sound can be controlled via the corded remote that is connected to the speaker wires. They made this real simple to connect, there is one audio plug to connect, and that is it. Everything connects through that one plug (and the plug on your PC of course).They also did something great for the power connection, which was to put the transformer INSIDE the subwoofer cabinet, so you only have a 120V power cord to plug in. No bulky tranformer brick to mess with! Compared to my last one, this was a welcome treat. On the minus side the power cord is only 3 feet long, but that should be enough for most people.This is a perfect office speaker set, and will also work at home for computers where you don't need excessive volume. About the only nuisance thing I found was that there is a bright power LED on the volume control. I covered it with a square of black tape, but it may not be distracting to others.In any case, if you don't need a speaker set that you will 'crank' to levels that you can hear in the next room, then this set will serve you well. |

To summarize, the Logitech 2.1 speakers are a good choice for people on a budget, but looking for good sound quality for their money from a brand they can trust. I have always had a good run with Logitech and would buy speakers or anything else from them again. |

My ASPM on this apparently expired before I even received the confirmation e-mail, but I still got it on sale.As good as it gets for the price.If you're just looking for a very cheap desktop speaker replacement, this is a perfect budget-oriented choice.At first I thought my item was broken when I first tested it, but I then realized the plastic tape-covers were still on the speaker and subwoofer!With the buzzing noise gone, I found this to a very great choice in speakers that I made, on such a low budget. |

For the price, this product performs well. The subwoofer is decent. The speakers are better than any laptop speakers you will find. The small size of the speakers are perfect if you have limited space.It is possible to find cheaper prices for this product. Just show the price to NCIX and they will gladly price match.
