It would have been inexpensive if I didn't have to spend for all the returns I created/still have to make to get it to work. I've RMA'd this memory twice now. Every time I installed both modules at the similar time, and identified that my computer system would not start. I then install a single module at a time and run memory tests on the module. One generally came up totally clean, and the other would throw errors constantly through testing. It's either poor high quality handle or terrible packaging, but either way the memory doesn't perform. At very first I didn't think anyone who put up critiques that their memory was negative and they had to RMA it a bunch of occasions. But since it happened to me, I believe it now. Guess I'll stick with obtaining memory from a nearby shop even if it's a lot more high priced. That way I don't have to fork out all the cash in mailing back returns till it functions. fit my late 2007 macbook pro completely... or so i believed at the starting. the computer system recognized the 4GB of ram and I got a massive speedup when operating vmware fusion alongside with other applications (compared with my earlier 2-gig set up) failed soon after TWO days!!! and now my laptop won't boot up. I had to revert to my old (original) memory modules that came with the macbook pro. these are three 1ǘ years old and run like a charm. these are going back! and i'm annoyed. i might be willing to exchange the defective ones for a new pair if the manufacturer and newegg give this selection... i'll comment here as soon as i have a lot more info Manufacturer Response:Greetings! This Mushkin memory performs perfectly in my two.2GHz MacBook Pro. I upgraded it from the stock 2GB of memory and ran a memory test on it just in case. It passed with no difficulties. Practically nothing bad about the memory, but I am not fond of rebates. They take forever to get your funds back. It would be so substantially easier if the cost was more affordable at check out and didn't demand rebate forms. Great Mushkin memory. I haven't had a terrible stick yet. (Can't say that about some other leading memory makers.) Wonderful RAM for MacBooks and MacBook Pros. |
